A real romance, NOT a romcom
In my personal Drama database, I scored this 10.5/10Thie idea of a "sequel" to the fairytale ending was very well executed. It was a painful watch for the first 5 episodes, especially Liu Yi Hao's slob character and his craven capiulation to his domineering Mum.
Then the character growth kicked in. Having watched hundreds of KDrama it was a bizarre and unsettling novelty to see characters USE THEIR WORDS and actually explain how they felt and how that affected their actions. Misunderstandings are resolved, differences explained and accepted, lots of growth all round.
The two leads SMASHED IT. I have long esteemed Ko Chia Yen as an actor but this Drama raised my opinion of Liu Yi Hao too. They were given great material and delivered it superbly. Also, extra points for something VERY seldom seen: THe Scooby Doo ending is relatively common, but the "Piña Colada" ending is rare. It was a perfect fit for this Drama and I'm chuffed that I guessed it in ep 1. (You have to be really old to get that reference) .

the chemistry was chemistrying ... but
let me start by saying that alice ko and jasper liu are both fantastic actors. they delivered solid performances and did nothing wrong. in fact, their chemistry was the glue that held this series together. unfortunately, the writing was the show's biggest flaw. the decision to focus on emotional cheating, a messy marriage, and a pushy mother-in-law as central themes had potential, but the execution fell flat. additionally, the "plot twist" was underwhelming, and the characters showed little to no growth until the very last scene, which left me disappointed. however, i hope alice ko and jasper liu won't be discouraged to on make another drama together. Was this review helpful to you?
Unexpected and soo worth the watch!!!
Wow!! I absolutely loved this drama???!!! It really dives deep into the messy, complicated emotions of love, marriage, and personal choices in such a raw and realistic way.The storytelling is super engaging, with just the right amount of tension and emotional weight to keep you hooked. The characters feel so real...flawed, relatable, and sometimes frustrating in the best way. Alice and Jasper are amazing as always!!?
Every performance adds layers to the story, making it impossible not to feel something for each character, even when you don’t agree with their choices.
What I really like is how this drama doesn’t try to give clearcut answers. Instead, it explores the complexities of relationships in a way that feels natural and thought-provoking.
And the ending? I didn’t expect it, but I actually really liked how it wrapped up. It wasn’t predictable, yet it felt satisfying and fitting for the story. I absolutely love when a drama can surprise me in a way that still makes sense.
If you’re into mature, well-written dramas that leave you thinking long after they end, definitely give this one a watch!!

One of the best married couple stories I've seen
Life is messy. Marriage is hard. I cannot imagine being newly married and living with his parents. The writers of this story did marriage justice. My ONLY complaint is that the actual ML didn't get top billing. Why in the world did the producers or whomever decides the roles not give You-You star billing and the title of MAIN LEAD? Such a disappointment!

Real life issues of marriage dealt with humour and fun
I binged this drama in a day as it was a breath of fresh air and change of pace to all the serious, angsty dramas currently airing. This drama is about a 30 something career woman dealing with the challenges of her marriage. I loved how the story pokes fun at everything yet at the same time, willing to bring out tender serious moments and challenges of daily life. So many humorous situations juxtaposed with warm touching scenes and irritating relatable scenes. I was busting out laughing (hospital scene, fairy tale story telling to niece scene) as well as giggling (pharmacist scenes) through all the experiences.
Cast are all wonderful actors. fL Ko Chia Yen is gorgeous and so humourous as a jaded, weary married feminist. ML Jasper Liu is our nice guy husband who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body but at the same time, annoyingly compliant to his mom’s coddling. Tseng Ching Hua (pharmacist) Shines as that caring, warm and sweet prince Charming that every girl dreams off (even I was swooning to his sweet smile. hahaha..). Fu Meng Bo (FL’s boss) is that lingering old flame from her past.
I really enjoyed this fun, heartwarming watch with the excellent acting and directing.

I LOVED IT!!!!
At first, I was a bit hesitant because of the 7.5/10 rating—it didn’t seem that exciting to me… BUT I AM SO HAPPY I WATCHED IT ANYWAYYYYYY!!! It was seriously funny and exactly the type of drama I didn’t know I needed.I loved the FL because she’s truly mature, she knows what she wants and tries her best for her husband, even when it’s... how can I put this? HARD! She even considered having a baby for him, despite being clearly traumatized by children. Of course, she makes mistakes, but she’s human, after all.
On the other hand, we have the ML—a genuinely "good guy." And like most men, he has no idea what to do to make things easier for his wife. 😭 At first, he seems like the typical good-for-nothing husband. Even when he does something right, he doesn’t do it at the right time or in the right way (classic XY species behavior). But as time goes on, we start getting attached to him. And she was right—"Even if he’s not the best husband, he is surely a good father." Unfortunately, he is sterile…
The last episode SHOCKED me! I never expected him to be Rain! For real—I was convinced it was the pharmacist, then her "ex," but never genuinely thought about him. Because I still believe the charming prince tale i guess lol.
In the end, some of their interactions screamed red flag, but honestly, every human has a bit of red in them. Nobody’s perfect—we just need to find the one who makes us feel better with than without.

Alice Ko is in the two all time best tdramas & Fu Meng Po is in one of them too, so "why not take a look at this" had been my motivation to check this out. In all honesty several of the themes in this show are things I tend to avoid, but managed to reach the ending credits thanks to the all around excellent production values, good acting & the occasional comedy. The short runtime helped too..Outside of my own subjective dislikes, I feel the plot is a bit disjointed, I don't feel like I watched a coherent story with coherent characterization. Anyhow at the very least every once in a while when I get to watch a Taiwanese show I'm always shocked by how much more lifelike the acting is & how much more vibrant Taiwanese sice of life can be, or rather how they can show this much on TV, I mean compared to censored cdramas or self-censored overly glamorous kdramas. I wish they made more non-BL shows...

The series offers a realistic take on marriage, showing both its highs and lows through Lin I-ling’s perspective. After three years of marriage, she finds herself torn between her family’s expectations and her own. It does an amazing job exploring themes like infidelity, family pressure, and the need for personal space in a relationship, all without falling into predictable clichés. It’s a refreshingly honest look at what marriage really means and makes you reflect on the reality of long-term commitment.
One of the things I loved most was how the show highlights the importance of communication. Not just in marriage but in all relationships. The scene where Lin I-ling and her mother-in-law finally have an honest conversation was so moving.
Finding a partner who truly grows with you until that inevitable “’til death do us part” is rare. Challenges will come, ups and downs are part of the deal, but at the end of the day, what really matters is trust, love, and the ability to talk things through and face life together.
Highly recommend this one!

Husband and wife
The scriptures indicate that is why a man will leave his mother and his father and he will stick to his wife and they will become one flesh. I know cultures vary on this but a lot of the drama & tensions would be gone if they lived separately. A man does not become one with his mom or aunties. He needs to communicate become mature & take charge of is own household. 2nd: lying has caused a lot of unnecessary tension in their marriage and also not letting your yes mean yes and your no no. Communication is very vital to a husband and wife.I appreciate her putting effort in to trying to extend the family. It’s amazing how we blame it on the woman but sometimes it’s the man that has some fertility issues.
Now they need to sit down and have a heart to heart conversation.

I Am Married, but…

Enfim, nada a declarar só to enrolando mesmoWas this review helpful to you?
