Spectacular
Hands down, one of greatest dramas made in the last few years. It's probably in my top 3 favourite dramas I've seen this year and it's totally deserved the hype.
I liked the story and the pace, it's very satisfying specially the punishments, I found myself agreeing with Justitia most of the time, I don't care if they didn't go to jail if the criminals were tortured, died painfully and went to hell, that's is more satisfying than staying behind bars for a few years.
I also have to applaud the acting, PSH shines here, and I have to say I'm impressed she improved BIG TIME, the rest of the cast was also amazing but I only mentioned PSH as she was -for me- slightly over hyped as an actress specially in her old dramas, I liked her generally but let's say I wouldn't exactly jump at the any chance of watching anything if I knew she is in it, nevertheless, here she was amazing, she nailed her role.
I don't think I hated anything about the drama, the only thing that I slightly didn't like was that it was very predictable, I expected almost everything and every secret, yet I didn't feel bored watching it it was still entertaining.
I also loved how they didn't dwell on the crimes, only took the time to show the whole punishment instead and equally focused on Justitia story as well as the crimes and punishments.
I would recommend it if you like the genre. It's done very well.

maybe real love is found in a menace demon and a sassy detective
skyrocketed into one of my favourite dramas of all time! i wish i could watch it for the first time again :(i loved a lot of things about this drama, but what i loved the most was the beautiful and unique relationships between the characters, and how well characters stood by themselves as well.
kang bitna and han daon's relationship with each other is absolutely electric. their push and pull throughout the show kept me on the edge of my seat; i love how they are both such menaces LMAO they match each other's tempo perfectly.

fantasy yay
I love mostly fantasy , and I was tired of waiting on a new one 😆 I love the story (on episode 2 now) love the actors and very good graphics.. I'm intrigued, although I usually don't like the court and lawyer type of shows, the fantasy really makes up for itI want to point out that it's not available on Disney in Belgium and we don't have Hulu so I needed to go to dramacool to be able to watch. pls do not forget our small country 🙏
really good show and looking forward to the next episodes.

Best 2024 kdrama !
It delivered exactly what it promised. A ruthless demon judge from hell punished criminals in the most satisfying way possible. The storyline of this drama is unique and well written/delivered.
I started this drama without much expectations since dramas this year were disappointing and left me in a kdrama slump but judge from hell exceeded my expectations and completely won me over with a captivating storyline and great performance by the actors .
The concept if punishing criminals in the same way they tortured their victims was so satisfying to watch . Applaud to the writer(s) for this masterpiece.
Park shin hye as Kan bitna was a delight to watch . Her character was so refreshing and likeable until the very end .
Kim jae young as Han da on , al tho was a bit annoying at the beginning but his character development was so good that i fell in love with him later on . Also he’s so gorgeous and his smile is so pretty .
A solid 10/10 from me because it was a treat to watch this drama and each episode was interesting and better so I don’t see the point of giving it any less rating than this.

PSH best role
before i sing praises to psh id like to talk about things i didn't like.
episodes endings... you can pull of cliffhanger once or twice but really i just stopped caring in last few episodes. like i know they will be alright, they always were, so whats the point?
the beginning was great. sure, the first scene in hell was mid and too fast but overall? great start. i really enjoyed first three cases, the fourth one was forgettable (i totally forgot who that girl that gabriel cured and her mother was) but i guess its bc of lady cop's case.
when it comes to the paimon episodes, im really glad jusititia was herself even without powers. she didnt need daon come and save her, she was still badass herself. also her gaining human emotions was well executed, didn't feel forced.
like i just really really love psh in this role. i first watched her in heirs and it wasn't great, in memories of alahambra it was okay i guess but here? im on my knees, psh the woman you are. i feel like she always had it in herself but just didnt had the opportunity to shine.
there was something weird about kissing but honestly? i watch bls so they werent the worst ones that i saw. the rooftop kiss was awesome.
daon was great too, i dont really like that narrative ''ohh i was wronged so ill became a cop and punish bad guys'' bc we all know how the system works irl but i liked the actor. he was great in reflection of you and here too so ill let that pass. he was made for justitia and really sweet with lady cop and everyone else.
mando, gremory, gabriel and the residents were great too i just dont have too much to say about them. the family form hell was okay as villains but i don't care about them all that much.
the soundtrack, the shots, the costumes. again. really, really amazing.
idk how i feel about the ending yet. i like it but also not really. yeah, that scene in court was like a full cycle but what after justitia comes back to hell? will she live an eternity without daon? will he? or maybe they'll meet again in afterlife? like lucifer and chole form lucifer? justitia as a queen of hell (lucifer and bael are out of picture obvi) and daon as her king consort? it'd nice
anyway it was great drama, had some not that great moments but i can still call it one of the best in 2024 with light heart.

Addictive show
Great show, very original. Every episode is exhilarating, not a dull moment. Usually k-dramas get a bit boring towards the end but this one has kept the momentum. One hour passes and I don’t even realise it. I wish it had more episodes and I can only hope for a season 2.Great acting and intriguing characters, good music and the two original songs are great.
Best drama of 2024 for me.

Korean version of The Punisher
Park Shin Hye steals the show as Kang Bitna, a judge who gets possessed by the demon judge Justicia after her death. She is a fashion star, crazy, violent and arrogant. But all of this is put together into a likeable character package, who makes you root for her brand of justice. The story revolves around her journey from being the devil who only cares about going back to hell to developing human emotions and understanding different perspectives. Bitna's lopsided smirk and crazy eyes when staring at those scummy criminals makes for the biggest highlight of the show.Kim Jae-young as Han Daon had the perfect puppy-dog eyes that brought out the human in the demon. His heartbreaking origin story aside, but loosing another family member, the kind, tough as nails boss lady, was a bit too much. He perfectly emoted his struggle of wanting to be a good police officer but also setting aside everything and getting his revenge. I found the chemistry between the main leads to be a bit lacking, though the good looks on both sides made up for it.
I absolutely loved the ensemble cast. Every single one had stories to tell, however small, and brought depth to the overall plot. I was expecting to be moved by the stories of those left behind (was a big sucker for Taxi Driver for a similar reason), but seeing the cheery, church going landlady break down really got to me. I adored the old grandmother, i am just going to stop here, but her and Bitna's back and forth was such a treat to watch, provided a little light in between the pain.
The only major issue i had was the plot towards the end. I think it would have been better to have 2 more episodes, but make the ending, less rushed and more rational. Satan just being defeated like it's no big deal sort of undermined the story they set up, and the usually smart & meticulous J having a complete breakdown once confronted with a single problem felt a bit off. The guy just straigh up confessed in court, and even if arrogant and hateful, it felt forced just to give the families closure and justify Bitna's ultimate beatdown. I understand they wanted to focus on justice within the boundaries of law and human evil but still, I hoped there was a bit more to it.
Overall, definitely worth a watch. To more dramas where evil is punished, so people can live vicariously through them.

Hype , Suspense , comedy and more
Kang Bit-na, a judge who is possessed by a demon from Hell named Justitia, meets detective Han Da-on, who is more human than anyone else in a reality that is more hellish than hell. Justitia is sent by Bael to earth as a punishment for her wrong judgement and is tasked to kill 10 murderers who aren't remorseful in a year, along with her assistant, Valak. If she can't accomplish the punishment then she will die.Kang Bit-Na (Park Shin-Hye) is an elite judge with a beautiful appearance, but she is actually a demon. Her mission as a demon is to kill evil people who lead other people to their deaths and don't reflect on their actions and are unforgiven for their actions. She sends these people to Hell afterwards. One day, Kang Bit-Na meets Han Da-On (Kim Jae-Young). He has a friendly and gentle personality. As a detective, his mind is sharp and he has a keen sense of observation. But, internally, he carries pain in his mind that nobody knows about. After Kang Bit-Na and Han Da-On meet with each other, their lives change greatly
The teaser after the end of each episode increase my interest to watch the next episode. This drama is good watch.

Don't Go Looking for Romance!!
I can’t believe that it is over, I could watch Justita punish unrepentant criminals in her own crazy way forever! There are very few shows that manage to hold my attention till the very last and “The Judge from Hell” was one such gem. Starring Park Shin Hye in an eclectic role, the show focuses on Justita, the Demon Judge in Hell who specializes in punishing murderers. As the third most powerful Demon in Hell, she is arrogant, and terrifying. A slight mistake in judgment lands her in trouble as she is exiled to Earth where she has to kill 10 unrepentant murderers and send their souls to hell. Easy, right? Wrong, because while Justita is quite good at doing her job, nothing could have prepared for the earthly attachments that cripple her desire to return to hell. As Justita, Park Shin Hye gives an eccentric performance, portraying a demon who is bloodthirsty and yet justified in her deliverance. Despite the ensemble casting that forms the core of this show, Park Shin Hye grabs your attention from the get-go. It was entertaining watching her on a killing spree that is seemingly warranted. This show doesn’t hinge much on romance, so you will be disappointed if you are looking for a somber love story!

When Demons Judge
What would a demon judge be like? Picture a mischievous whirlwind—wicked, cheeky, and delightfully chaotic—spreading confusion while serving up hellish punishments to those who truly deserve it. Enter Justitia/ Kang Bit Na, played brilliantly by Park Shin Hye, who nails this wild spirit! What really sets this drama apart is its bold and entertaining take on demon characters and their antics. Each emotional storyline packs a punch, diving into their darker, more violent sides without any apologies. Yet, it maintains a perfect balance with a light-heartedness that keeps things fun and engaging. Even as Justitia navigates human emotions and falls for the male lead, Han Da On, she never loses that badass edge.
I've struggled to connect with Park Shin Hye in her previous roles, but her portrayal as Justitia/ Kang Bit Na is truly impressive. It's refreshing to see her break free from typecasting! She’s a powerhouse of strength wrapped in vulnerability, sprinkled with love, and her performance genuinely stands out. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her emotional scenes!
The strong supporting cast, featuring Kim In Kwon, Yang Kyung Won, Kim Jae Hwa (alongside her real-life sisters) and many more, adds even more depth to the story. My only complaint? Lee Kyu Han's acting. His character, Jung Tae Gyu, comes off a bit one-dimensional, almost as if there's glue stuck on his face. He doesn't quite capture the insane, evil, or unhinged vibe that his character is supposed to embody.
Overall, this drama is a wild ride with plenty of twists and engaging moments!
