Music and Art

I guess just like me everyone had no expectations from this drama for many reasons. But it was so good when we literally expected nothing. I hated the official poster so much but now I understand the meaning behind it. As a new couples both the leads had best chemistry. But I liked the second lead couple more. It was a cute, non toxic story overall. Maybe it wasn't perfect in every aspects but it definitely wasn't boring for a single moment. It felt cliche in a good way. It did make our Sunday's special for 12 weeks.

If you are looking for a simple light hearted drama with good music and cast then Only Boo is always there to make your day special!

In the end, it's your usual GMM mediocre series.

BUT it's quite enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, it's a VERY CUTE series until certain episodes, awakening motherly feelings for me personally. At some point I really love KangMoo/SeaKeen. I'm happy that they really are a couple who communicate and their relationship is actually quite healthy.

I personally don't like the second couple haha, especially since in the beginning, Potae was so dense to Yos that at some point it hurt Yos' feelings, it's just not in my taste.

I'm just kind of "???" When the series suddenly became serious as it neared the ending idk but for me it actually became boring af and I found myself skipping through the conflicts. I think this would be better if it was a cute series from the start till the end. As usual from the typical GMM: there is time skip, there is cursed episodes lol I expected it and wasn't surprised but it's okay. Overall 8/10 from me. I love the dynamics of SeaKeen and I hope there is another series from them.

The unexpected charm of a sweet story

Only Boo arrived quietly, almost as if asking for permission before stepping in, but it quickly became one of GMMTV’s most talked-about and beloved BLs of 2024. What seemed at first like just another school romance turned into a surprisingly mature series, balancing lightness and sensitivity with themes that go far beyond the usual teenage clichés. There’s something honest in the way the story deals with love, dreams, and responsibility, and maybe that’s why it resonated so strongly with viewers.

The strongest part of the show is the main couple. Moo and Kang are opposites that simply work: Moo is outgoing, sweet, and determined, while Kang is shy, reserved, and realistic. Their dynamic never feels forced. The show builds their relationship in an organic, almost everyday way that makes every gesture meaningful. Moo lights up the screen with his effortless charm, and Kang brings balance with his quiet steadiness. They complement each other in a simple but remarkably effective way.

Throughout the episodes, Only Boo manages to evoke that same warm, comforting feeling that shows like My School President delivered so well. It’s the kind of story that hugs you, makes you smile without realizing it, and turns romance into something genuinely tender. It’s not a copy, far from it, but it shares the same heart: a narrative that feels good, which is rare.

The series also shines by avoiding the typical rush into romance. Kang refusing to date Moo right away so he could prioritize school is a rare decision in this genre and shows how much care went into the characters’ growth. The breakup, which divided a lot of fans, follows that same logic. It’s painful, yes, but coherent for where both of them were in life. Moo needed to stand on his own without relying on Kang’s approval for everything, and Kang needed to realize he wasn’t responsible for every choice Moo made.

The time apart works as a turning point, even if some plot decisions stretched the drama a bit more than necessary. This is actually the biggest flaw of the final stretch. Episodes that could have deepened the conflicts end up stuck in the usual BL slow-burn tropes, only to be resolved in a rush in the finale. It’s nothing that ruins the experience, but it’s enough to leave the sense that certain elements deserved more space, especially the secondary couples, who only get to breathe near the end.

Even so, the young cast carries the show with freshness. Sea and Keen are one of GMMTV’s best recent pairings, delivering chemistry, naturalness, and surprisingly solid performances. Moo in particular stands out, vulnerable without losing his sparkle and sweet without being infantilized. Kang grows at the right pace, finding a balance between caring and respecting boundaries. Among the supporting cast, Potae and Payos are charismatic, and TaeYos works well as a quieter counterpoint, even if underused.

The OST adds to the atmosphere beautifully, soft, warm, and comforting, helping shape that cozy Sunday vibe that so many viewers mentioned. Only Boo is the kind of series that softens your week, turning small moments into scenes full of affection and creating a sweet little universe even when the plot leans into hurt and growth.

In the end, Only Boo stands as one of 2024’s nicest surprises. It isn’t a perfect series, but it’s sincere, charming, and heartfelt enough to secure a special place among the year’s releases. It’s the kind of BL you finish with a gentle smile and a sting of longing, wishing for just a few more episodes with these characters.

GMMTV nailed the casting, the chemistry, and the overall tone. And if there is one certainty after the final scene, it’s that Sea and Keen still have a lot of great work ahead of them. Until then, Only Boo remains a little refuge, a story that doesn’t try to reinvent the genre but delivers beautifully on its promise to enchant and remind us that sometimes that is exactly what we need.

cutness overloaded

From beginning of this drama I fall for KangMoo they are so cute together. This drama stole my heart literally and is one of my favourite so far for this year for sure. It gave me emotional rollercoaster of sadness, happiness, anger I felt so connected while watching this and I was so impatient every week and wanted new episode quicker. Thank you so much for those 12 weeks. I don't want to contain any spoilers but 2 sad episodes were too many but good thing last one is full of happiness.
in general not to drama KeenSea did a really great job I hope to see them again in other series because they deserve it 😇
Worth to rewatch it.
Recommend it 🥰🥰

GMMTV's young actors never disappoint !!

I saw this show when it aired and I swear it's one of the best BL series of 2024. I was not sure if SeaKeen would live up to my expectations as I hadn't really seen them before, but they literally exceeded my expectations ! I loved everything from the storyline to the cast, the ending and even the OSTs. Also, this is one of the few BLs where the guy can actually dance/sing.. lol.. The chemistry of SeaKeen was sooo good, it really felt like puppy love, and their acting was just too good. It also felt really nice to see Book's cameo, and Milk's too!! The second couple was also so cute, their story was also super interesting, it really felt so goood!! I feel like this show deserved so much more recognition, it is really underrated.. I definitely recommend it to people who like simple BLs, not any spice or complex story line, Looking forward to seeing more of SeaKeen <33 !

Cute and fluffy ?

I'm here to share my very first review on mdl😊
This was a show which I was waiting to watch since the announcement and there is a specific reason for that... After My School President, Gmmtv proved that they can still create magic by highschool BL's. And Yes!!!! I like to say that they proved it once again. In a single sentence, it's a really cute and funny show for those who loves light-hearted BL's.
Detailed review:
As a viewer, still a part of me can't accept it as a top series .... During the first half of the series, I kind of believed that this would turn out to be one of my top favourite bls . But after the introduction of the idol thing, it went down. Many parts were not convincing for me ( like the re- audition thing) , because I don't think this kind of luck happen in real life too... And also I felt the ending kind of forced...
Then Coming to characters and acting, Everyone did pretty good according to their characters. But I would like to give a special mention to Keen, for making Moo this much adorable 🥰 Then another special mention to Book's character( Shone) , for entering into my most annoying characters in bl history. But I'm happy that my summoning spell worked by bringing the perfect man for Shone😁 Coming to chemistry, Sea and Keen definitely have a great chemistry but I felt the same thing lacking between the second couple ( maybe only for me)
Then coming to OSTs I can only say that ' not bad ' + requesting Gmmtv to avoid those annoying background sounds 😞
In short, This is a simple, cute and fluffy one time watchable show for me , which made me smile on my boring Sundays 😊( Pretty sure that this won't be everyone's cup of tea)

SeaKeen is adorable

Their acting felt so natural for a first series. Don't get me wrong, obviously they had to be overdramatic for the show, but you could see how they added theirselves to the script and it was super enjoyable to watch. I felt the plot fit well because Keen is ACTUALLY GOOD, at singing and dancing! Feels wrong to say, but many GMMTV artists aren't the best in the musical subject, so I felt happy watching him do his thing. I'll say the plot was pretty dragged and dramatic, but thinking about their chemistry and the casting for this series raised my rating. I've rewatched it already, and loved it once again, so I think this series deserves a solid 9.5 🫶

Moo is the cutest character I've ever seen

Okay… For some reason I didn’t want to watch this. No idea why, I haven’t seen the trailer, I didn’t know anything about the actors, I just wasn’t interested. WRONG! Know what convinces me to give it a chance? Comment where someone said it’s similar to My school president. I'm a huge fan of MSP and when I heard this, I just had to watch it.

And I got hooked after a few minutes. I can’t believe Keen and Sea are that young. Their chemistry is amazing and they are so cute together! Their scenes were amazing and great.

Moo is definitely the cutest character I’ve ever seen. Have you seen his smile? Damn, if I was a girl in that universe, I’d be head over heels in love with him. Kang as well. Damn, those two really match together.

The thing is, both of them are newbies in the entertainment industry, but it’s really hard to believe. Well, the same thing I thought about Gemini and Fourth and look at them now. I see KeenSea can be the same as they are and I hope they will be. I want to see them again.

Side couple? They were cute as well. I totally love them both. I mean, all four of them. Kang, Moo, Yos and Tae. It’s really hard to choose which couple I liked more. It’s impossible. For me at least. I just wish YosTae would get more screentime because I feel like there was much more they could show us. I feel like their story lacked something and I’ll explain it later.

In the synopsis, there is something written about the no-dating rule in idol agency, so I thought they would date secretly and drama would come. Nope, nothing like that, only by the end. Moo is so cute while flirting with Kang. I love how he fell in love at first sight and then did whatever to pursue him! Aww that was so cute!
When the no-dating rule came, Many people were complaining and saying that it was totally unnecessary, but I feel like this part was actually needed. In my opinion both couples needed it.

Now I’m going to say something about Shone – Moo’s cousin who also had a crush on Kang. So many people hated him and said he should disappear and let them be. But he did. When he found out Kang was Moo’s crush, he let them be together. He flirted with Kang again only six months after he and Moo had broken up. I see nothing wrong here. His feelings for Kang were real and there was nothing wrong with them.

I understand why people don’t like it, but I personally did.
Now I’d like to say something about the end. I feel like it was too rushed. When I saw the preview of the 12th ep, the first thing I thought of was: I feel like this is gonna be too much drama for one ep. Too many things are unsolved and I think Yos and Tae deserve much more than one ep to complete their storyline. And I think that even now after finishing. It was too rushed.

Good Series But Poorly Titled

This story, series, and production would not have worked without the two main characters. While I truly detest the concept of ‘shipping’, these two have such remarkable chemistry together that I was mesmerized by both. They captured me from the beginning. They played right to the camera as if it was not there. They were natural, real, genuine, honest, and projected a close physical connection to one another rarely seen for me in Thai BLs of late. When they say they ‘loved’ each other, I believed it because they made me believe it. That is rare for two actors so young and frankly with not much acting experience to portray with such depthness the meaning and sincerity of the abstraction of ‘love’. The secondary couple, however, is disappointing and written with standard clichés .

I was NOT expecting that..

When I saw that this was going to be a high school drama with relatively new actors as leads, I was preparing myself for an awkward, juvenile story with mediocre acting and entertainment value at best.

But what I got couldn't have been further from that. Honestly, I'm glad I binged it because I would have hated waiting each week for the next episode, for sure. It was just that good and I needed to know what happened next after each episode.

In that respect, the story never lost momentum and interesting happenings to hold my interest as many series do. Or, rather, it didn't have a lot of random storylines coming in and out of nowhere to mess with the couple and the entire series flowed seamlessly from start to finish.

At the very beginning, I was a little worried that I wasn't going to like Moo's character because he came off as a whiny brat who was going to hate his mother for trying to do right by him. But it soon became evident that he was going to have an arc of self growth after he had his ego knocked down a few pegs by realizing he really did not know how to do anything for himself. I was also a bit concerned that his high energy, Golden retriever nature was going to become annoying. But Keen did a fantastic job of keeping it endearing instead of distracting and I feel like whenever he was on screen, it was very hard to look at anyone else. It almost made Sea look stiff next to him but I feel like a huge part of that was due to the character as Kang was supposed to be this gruff, bad-mouthed guy that people mostly stayed away from except when he was working.

The supporting cast was just as entertaining and I feel like any and every character who had lines was important in some way at one point or another. The side couple was fine for the most part but they did ruin the shows track record for having THE BEST communication in any series I've ever seen before.

This was a drama done right in regards to showing you don't need miscommunication or misunderstandings to create tension or problems for the couple. You also do not need a villain in every story as life in general throws enough punches to mess with relationships, as seen perfectly well here.

I feel like the writers were playing with the idea of making Shone into a bad guy but honestly, I see no real issue with what he did. Throughout that whole scene in the hospital, I got the vibes that he didn't really think he had a chance with Kang, but more like he was defending himself from Moo's verbal attack. After all, Moo and Kang had already been apart for a year yet Moo made it clear he felt entitled to claim ownership of Kang, even though the guy had ghosted him all this time after their very clear break up. Every time we see Shone and Kang together, it's clear that every time Kang shoots down Shone, he's not surprised or overly upset. I don't think he ever really held out any tangible hope that Kang would be with him but he also didn't appreciate Moo's attitude of saying "You said you wouldn't go after him when I was with him." It was definitely a moment of... yeah, it's a bit of a crappy move on Shone's part but really, he did keep his promise and waited more than enough time before showing interest in Kang again. In a way, I almost felt bad for him for trying to toe the line of being respectful of his family but also wanting to follow his own heart.

Speaking of... Hooooo boy, this series totally hit the feels hard. And so quickly too! One minute, my heart is pulled one way and the next I'm laughing at something else. An example off the top of my head being when Moo tries to stay away from Kang to focus on school, and Kang keeps trying to get his attention, it hurt. But then they show it from Moo's perspective of him trying to keep his cool and it was the funniest thing ever. Like, smelling the jacket after Kang washed it and he says to his friends "Guys, he made it smell so good!" and they're just like "Dude, keep it together."

I know I said it before but I really liked that Moo never lost his playfulness. I feel like, a lot of the time, when a series has a very forward character like that, they always seem to come off strong in the beginning but then either mellow out or lose that spark at some point along the way. But Moo was very consistent and I think that's why it never became a bad thing.

Also, special shout out to all the adults in this series. The teachers, the parents.. they were all beautifully written and acted. Honestly, there's not much I didn't like about this series. I'd almost prefer they didn't put any kissing in it because the kissing was distractingly awkward but I get it.. new pairs, first major role, high school adolescence. But it kind of took away from the idea that they supposedly wanted each other. But really, other than that, they had good chemistry bouncing off each other and reacting to each other in a way that felt natural.

Very solid series and it makes me excited to see where these actors go next.

So unserious to the point that it doesn't make any sense.

Not sure why I can't get through it. It just bores me so much at this point.

Their relationship is adorable, and there were some cute moments in the beginning, but it seems like the show doesn't take itself seriously enough.
I feel like they don't really address that and are just saying, "Oh well, now we can never meet again until you're done being an idol." It's about how they couldn't be together because of the industry Moo wanted to work in, and I feel like by getting together, Moo is endangering his group members, so it seems like they're saying the relationship is over.
Anyway, I'm bored and ready to move on because I started this shit ages ago.

Their chemistry is so good!!

It's my first review.. This series is so good you must watch it.. It will remind you of my school president.. Seakeen chemistry is so good.. And moo's pickup lines were hilarious. This series is slow burn series.. It will make you happy in starting episode but in last episode you'll will cry.. I just completed this series yesterday and it was worth watching.. And besides main couple. Supported couple is also so good😭😭their little interactions gives me butterflies.. I think it's enough for now😭😭don't forget to watch this series or you will regret!!!
