Overall, A Nice Adaptation with Great Characters!
"Pluto” is a Thai GL series based on the name of the same novel, where two women find love, and companionship in this warm and cozy love story. Ob-oom and Ai-oon (Namtan Tipnaree) are two twin sisters but while Ob-oom is successful and perfect, Ai-oon considers herself to be the black sheep of the family. When Ob-oom gets married, she confides in Ai-oon that she has a lover with whom she hasn’t cleared things up and asks her to do it in her place. Ai-oon finds out later that the said ex-lover is surprisingly a woman and on the top of that, she is blind. To fulfill her sister’s wish, she gets involved with May (Film Rachanun).Read the complete article here-

One of the best GL's I've watched?
Ever since the announcement, I've been waiting to watch Pluto SO BAD, and once I did, I LOVED IT! This is the second show I've watched and cried during a wedding scene; the last time I did was when Klaine (Blaine + Kurt) from Glee got married. Because the story started from the word "Pluto" so I would always feel super emotional especially the last part when either of them mentioned it🥹.The story was amazing; it was really interesting, ngl it felt quite similar to JimmySea's Last Twilight to me, but I still liked it. Everything was pretty great except for one thing, which was what happened to the dad at the last ep? The change was SUPER sudden that it felt weird, and it also didn't make sense. Even if he had a change of heart, the change was too big. Despite that, I would still recommend ya'll to watch it cuz it's worth a watch, trust.

This is a very solid GL, but...
The show, on the whole, was very good. It is definitely in my top ten of 2024 list. The two leads (Namtam and Film) had really good chemistry and their acting was shown throughout. Namtam (the actress who played the twin sisters, Oom and Ai) should win many awards for her portrayal of twins. There were many times that I caught myself marveling at just how different the twins' personalities and mannerisms were right down to the way each twin talked. I was very impressed because from seeing other portrayals of twins by the same actor, many couldn't pull it off as wonderfully as Namtam did. Kudos to you Namtam. Film did a good job as the mysterious yet easily lovable May. I loved her duality as a hardened kickass lawyer and loveable, almost puppy-like lover. I would find it very hard not to fall for someone like May. Khapook (the actress who played Police Captain Phimphakorn Decha-anek "Pim") should get a lead in her own GL series. The story was very good complete with twists and turns that I imagine non-readers of the novel didn't see coming. There were a few twists that I, as a book reader, didn't see coming. Ai having to navigate pretending to be her sister, while realizing that she's falling in love with May, her sister's ex-girlfriend. May knows that Ai isn't Oom, but wants to get to know Ai better, because she's May's first love. All the obstacles and ancillary drama of a friend's accident and May's reasons for being blind, all lent themselves to the complexity of the tale. Also, the side story of the budding romance between Jan, Pim...and Pang. For a second there, I thought viewers were going to get their first GL throuple in a series. It would have been something different.
The entire cast played their roles well, and though the production, editing, and music, on the whole, were good, my only issue with the series is their portrayal of Oom. I am all for character redemption when it is earned. Yet, the way the adapting writers tried to rewrite Oom as an ultimately redeemable and sympathetic character, though it may have been a better choice for the TV series, left a bad taste in my mouth as a book reader. It seemed like they wanted every character to be some shade of gray, but I felt that Oom should have no redemption. Even in the TV series, Oom mentioned that she broke up Ai and May to make herself feel better, so why would you try to redeem a character like this? In the novel, she was ultimately the reason why Paul died (with a bit of an assist from May), she tried to kill May, and she only broke up Ai and May so that May would suffer. Oom didn't care about her twin sister's feelings at all. Also, Oom knew about all the sacrifices that Ai made to make Oom's life better throughout their lives, and she still treated her sister like garbage (as it was portrayed in the TV series). That type of character shouldn't be redeemed. That type of character should be made to sit in their crapulence to accept the consequences of their actions. Though everything worked out for the best, Oom's redemption will always be a sore spot in what was ultimately a great watching experience.
I'd definitely recommend this GL series to anyone who likes a good story in their GL.

Is it really from gmmtv!?
After being disappointed with 23.5 I was considering pluto as as my last straw and THANK GOD it didn't disappoint me A SINGLE BIT! (Except side couples).Tbh both namtanfilm had challenging roles here. Film definitely portrayed the character phenomenally. And namtan, the woman you are. It was SUPER CHALLENGING play twins with different characteristics, different dressing styles and different mannerisms. And are we gonna forget about how well she performed same scene delivering same dialogue with different emotions. I love the fact that snap25 gave this series and characters much more depth compared to the novel. The second lead love triangle could've been explored more as it had potential. Anygays amazing acting, chemistry, storyline and cinematography. Was it necessary to give the dad redemption!? Last episode wasn't that good tbh.
Long live namtanfilm, aioonmay, primbambi and many more to come 🤲🏻💖

Disappointing
The main plot is very interesting and the intertwining plots create a very good suspense. But there comes a point where the writers get lost in what they will or will not develop and the series loses its shine until it culminates in a terrible ending. Some conclusions are confusing and some characters are disrespectedWas this review helpful to you?
I feel like watching Lost again
It begun bringing joy and love for the fans of thai GLs but endup delivering just frustration and sadness. It was like watching Lost again and see an amazing plot losing itself in the way. Frustrating. Thank God Ploy and Ton found their happiness before the end cause not even AioonMay finale was satisfing. Was this review helpful to you?
The chemistry of NamtanFilm and the storyline is insanely good
Firstly, I have been in awe of seeing the acting and chemistry between Namtan and Film. I know Namtan is one of the gems in Thai industry, and Film is really good in her acting skills. But, their chemistry is the thing that everything perfect in the series. It is insanely good. Even just with looking at each other, it creates a perfect moment that left people with so many emotions. I didn't know how good they look together like this. It is like a perfect match.Next, the storyline is really well written though there are some points that still need to improve. From addressing the social issues like the universal design for the blind people, inequality in treating their children and the rich wins all, the story actually left me with so many thoughts about it. In my opinion, the storyline in the series actually makes more sense than in the novel. It didn't leave you with too many questions after reading like in the novel. Well done Snap25 team!!!
Finally, I really enjoy the cinematic aspect in the series. All the soundtracks are on fire, and i didn't know i actually could listen again and again the Thai songs like this. Even NamtanFilm chemistry reflects on the 2 songs that they sang together.

The best Thai GL I have watched so far
I'd say that the story revolves around deception and it stressed me out. But it could keep me on my toes since the first episode. Acting is top notch!!! I can go on and on and on abt the 2 main actresses acting skills. I also appreciate the colouring, cinematography, the storytelling methods (multiple perspective narrative and unrealiable narrators), and the OST. Overall a great watch and highly recommended. Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best series I have ever watched
I am not giving the 10🌟 due to the final bit being a bit rushed in my opinion. I would have rather shown either the proposal or the actual wedding. It felt a bit out of the blue.Additionallyz, I would have given a bit of more screen time to Pang and Jan relationship, as it also seems odd that Jan likes Pang in the end.
But apart from these two things the series is amazingly produced. One of the best series I have ever watched. I did not know Film before Pluto but her depiction of May was incredible same as Namtan portraying both Ai and Ob. Despite being the same actress, I could see two different people. They also broke my heart with ep. 11 and healed it with their cuteness.

Already completed my second rewatch!!!
Just watch it. Acting superb. Characters complex. Twists, turns, highs lows. It has it all! Namtam switching between each twin was superb. She shows completelt different characters for each twin and they follow through on the characterisation down to the minute detail, so you are always aware of whos on screen. As for Film and her portrayal of blindness definitely from a lay prospective this is also spot on!Character depth is seen in all characters, even the side characters! Though the story is completed through these 12 episodes. I could still wish for sequels and spin offs esp for three of the side characters!
I will probably rewatch this for a 3rd and 4th time in the nesr future!!!

A phenomenal
To be honest, I don't watch GLs that often. My first GL series was GAP (a legend). That series was okay an helped me get interested in GLs more. Then, I just found out about Pluto when randomly watching the trailer on Youtube. I didn't expect much because NamtanFilm was pretty new couple at that time and I didn't follow them. But, it turned out truly amazing. I am impressed with the acting skills of NamtanFilm and specially, their chemistry. One in a million pairing. The story was interesting and well written, except the last ending. Overall, the series is a phenomenal. The production team and NamtanFilm deserve all the best. Kudos to them. Was this review helpful to you?

Namtan and Film Shine Bright in the Emotional Masterpiece ‘Pluto'
Pluto is a masterpiece, and Namtan Tipnaree and Film Rachanun are the driving forces behind its brilliance. Namtan’s portrayal of Ai and Oom is nothing short of spectacular. She flawlessly brings out the unique essence of both characters, making it easy to believe they’re two distinct individuals. Her ability to shift effortlessly between Ai’s reserved demeanor and Oom’s more fiery, bold personality is captivating. It’s like watching two actresses in one performance, and that level of skill is awe-inspiring.Film, on the other hand, absolutely shines as May. Playing a blind lawyer is no easy feat, but Film makes it look natural and authentic. There’s a quiet strength to her performance, and she captures the nuances of May’s struggles and determination beautifully. I was particularly impressed by her chemistry with Namtan. Their interactions felt raw and genuine, and they conveyed the emotional complexities of their relationship with so much heart.
Together, Namtan and Film create a dynamic that is rare and unforgettable. Every scene they shared was packed with emotion, making me feel everything from heartbreak to hope. Their ability to balance vulnerability and strength in their characters made Pluto a deeply moving experience.
This drama isn’t just about love; it’s about identity, resilience, and the choices we make when faced with impossible situations. And thanks to Namtan and Film’s stellar performances, it left a lasting impression on me. If you’re looking for a show that will tug at your heartstrings and keep you thinking long after the credits roll, Pluto is the one.
