Pluto one of the best Thai GLs
Absolutely love this GL! Namtan and Film's acting is really on next level. The story telling, the pace, every OST they sang, the visual effects- everything is on point. The only thing is that again GMMTV didn't promote the girls and their perfect work as they should've. But even without enough promotion, everyone saw how great Pluto was. That's one of the few GLs that actually have some plot and interesting plot twists. I really love both of them and wish them even more success in the future! good casts, creates good show
After watching the first episode, I was really worried for this show. I personally don't like it when things become overly complicated. However, I decided to trust it because I saw high ratings and heated discussions around the plot and the acting, so I decided to give it a chance. And oh boy! I'm just so smart for that. The leads acted like they were sculpted for their roles. Not to mention the perfect OST.Pluto team, you're bagging all the awards!

Hits and Misses
"Pluto" from GMMTV is over, and I mostly enjoyed it, even if it wasn't perfect! The **core plot really appealed to me**, and **Namtan and Film's performances were excellent**; their **chemistry was top-notch**!
My favorite character is definitely **Ai Oon**. She's so endearing, vulnerable, and adorable, especially around May. You really understand her jealousy and how quickly she grows attached to May.
Some of the side relationships, like the Pang-Pim-Jane triangle, made me feel genuinely sorry for Pim. And certain scenes... like the bathroom kiss, I was shocked! Episode 7 was super entertaining.
May is a complex character—a liar and a bit crazy for kissing Ai Oon knowing who she was. And the scene where she talks about her ex, it was just absurd! Also, why don't GL characters ever seem to have proper arguments?
I felt there were too many filler episodes, and the product placements were hilariously awkward. Unfortunately, the ending felt rushed: the wedding with no one there, the too-quick reconciliation, and Oom's relationship with the "villain"... it all felt a bit messy.
Despite these points, the **story itself was well-constructed, and the tension between the characters was definitely there**. It was mostly the writing that sometimes fell short.
I still recommend "Pluto"! I'm giving it a **7/10**.

Sweet but flawed
Okay first and foremost I wanna say that I'm going to tackle all the issues I found in the show ; however, I loved it, it was sweet, heartbreaking sometimes and heartwarming others...But. There is a huge issue with this show (and it might be related to budget) the audio engineering, the mixing, and the microphones quality are awful. It takes a while to get used to it. On top of that, when actors shout or talk loudly the mics are saturated. That would be the main issue I have with Pluto's production as the show is visually good.
Also, while Namtan, Film, Dao and Kapook are really great actors who easily convey emotions through the screen. The other actors are not as talented and the gap between them is enormous. Especially the male cast. However, the chemistry between Namtan and Film during the show is amazing and every scene with them is so sweet.
As for the story, there really is a pacing problem beginning during episode 6 until the end. The issues Ai and May are going through are taking them a painful amount of time to fix, they really have a communication problem that's way too obviously forced by the plot.
However, the show sheds light on so many important themes such as disability, homophobia, family, universal design, accessibility, friendship, and so on...
Overall, this show was really great but also had flaws (mostly related to budget and poor pacing).

Standout GL
Pluto is a standout GL series with a rich, emotionally layered plot that takes you on a genuine journey. The storyline is unique and thoughtfully constructed, offering something deeper than the usual romantic fluff. While the pacing leans slow at times, it’s the kind of intentional slow burn that earns every moment—beautiful, deliberate, and worth savoring. This is a show that knows when to hold back and when to let emotion take over, building tension in a way that makes each reveal hit harder. As far as GL tropes go, Pluto goes beyond the usual playbook. No one gets slapped, the grandma isn’t evil, and the drama doesn’t rely on tired clichés. Instead, the story feels strong, grounded, and refreshingly mature. It centers emotional truth over spectacle, which makes every moment land with more impact.
The chemistry between Namtan and Film is nothing short of magnetic—steamy, sweet, and downright sexy. Their connection feels lived-in and emotionally grounded, never performative. Whether they’re laughing, arguing, or breaking down, their scenes carry real weight.
Namtan delivers an excellent performance, pulling double duty as twins with distinctly different personalities. She does an incredible job differentiating the two roles with subtlety and emotional nuance. Film’s performance is equally impressive—her portrayal of a blind character is convincing and sensitively handled. Together, their acting elevates the emotional stakes of the story. The characters themselves are beautifully flawed, grounded, and real—people you genuinely care about.
What really makes Pluto shine is its emotional integrity. The story is packed with beats that land every single time—grief, longing, joy, regret, hope—all woven into a plot that steadily deepens as the episodes go on. Just when you think you know where it’s headed, it digs deeper, pushing its characters into new, complicated emotional territory. And instead of relying on cheap drama or forced conflict, it lets the weight of past choices and quiet moments do the heavy lifting.
In short, Pluto is a beautifully crafted, well-acted slow burn with real heart and staying power. It’s not just worth watching—it’s worth rewatching.

Emotional Rollercoaster with Powerful Performances but a Rushed Finale
The series had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Despite its complex storyline and some repetitive hardships, the writers did an excellent job of helping the audience understand each character’s motivations and emotional struggles. The depth of the performances, especially from the main cast, made every scene feel raw and real. However, the ending fell somewhat flat—particularly regarding May’s father. I would’ve wished for a more balanced conclusion that gave the characters room to resolve their conflicts rather than rushing everything into the final episode. Still, the acting and emotional weight of the series make it a memorable watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Pluto was an experience
Its been a while since i wanted to start pluto and finally i got to watch it. And it definetly was something. I dont even know how to describe it.i liked it. A LOT. but it was SOOO more heavy than i though
first of all, the plot was really good. it felt fresh and very intresting. Im always up for some twin drama (big love for not me). And guys, like all those mysteries, trying to discover link, learning how all the character basically are linked to each other without even knowing each other basically. Not getting into a lot of details on the plot cause yeah.
I really REALLY loved the pacing of this series, one of the best, if not the best, among recent gmmtv series. I feel like usually they are very slow at the beginning and end up rushing completely, while here it was extremely well paced, the plot unraveled among the different episodes in an intresting way that geniunly kept me entertained and kept me wanting for more.
The topics tho... guys I swear I remember watching the trailer and though "its gonna be a cute and intresting show". I did NOT expect to be emotionally wrecked after literally EVERY episode. Oh my like. I really love heavy topics in series but I expected it to be more lighthearted, while at the end it really got me crying way more than I would want to admit. I think that beside Ben and Paul (arguably) every single other chacter had some good and some bad to it. There were no completely positive and negative people. No black or white. Just real life.
If I had to say something that i didnt really like is how they handled a couple of things: firstly, how conveniently the dad changed idea and became a good person randomly at the end of the last episode. I hate GMMTV and their need to have those ugly ahh perfect ending. A shitty man like May father DOES NOT CHANGE THIS RAPIDLY, nor with such convinent timing. Regardless.
Another thing is how fast and easily Aioon literally skipped over the fact that May was Batman attorney. I get that you are in love with her, and I get that you know that she is not an evil person. I get that she might have her reason. But Ben is you best friend since u were a fetus and you just discovered that your girlfriend was the attorney that made Ben live on a wheelchair WITHOUT HIS MOM? Like maybe at least put some hatred I'm BEGGIN (loved how May showed her guilt, it was such beautiful scenes)
The cast was all up to the test. No like, really. I wasn't familiar with Film but she was the one that surprised me the most. Like. Completely. The scene in episode 11 when she cries when Aioon chooses her sister was... gutwretching to say the least. In general, she performer the role very well and she is able to convey all the emotion. It made me cry so freaking hard. Namtan having to cover two roles that requires acting emotional scenes TOGETHER and still killing it. My favorite scene acting wise from Namtan was the one when May wakes up after the incident and has her first meeting with Oboom. I loved how it changed entirely vibe based on if it was May remembering or Oboom. I was so like 😯😯😯 Omg don't you love when a series actually cast talented people that can do their job? Cause if ur searching for good acting Pluto is PERFECT. Im not entering the details, but even the other actors killed it. Props to Thor specifically cause I geniunly think he us SOO expressive and beside having such little lines he was able to really give it off like yas king.
Cinematography wise I like it. I love series with a specific vibe and color grading. This was very "purple" and "dark" which I enjoyed given the vibe of the show. It was kinda too dark in some moment but I really liked it. LOVED MAY HOME. Kinda dream house if u ask me.
To be honest, as much as I liked it, I would still NOT suggest a rewatch. I think its more of a "watch it and get it once" rather than "keep rewarching it". Maybe its because of the emotional train wreck it was the first time , maybe its because of the intense emotions that were like... a LOT to take in or maybe it was the fact that plot like this are better the first time you watch them. Idk, but I don't think I will rewatch this show for a long time.
In conclusion: watch this. If u hadn't yet. Its beautiful, really.

Highly recommended
Pluto series is a gripping watch with amazing storytelling that keeps me hooked. It's a rollercoaster every episode. Plot twist after plot twist. NamtanFilm's acting is also outstanding. Definitely worth watching!P/s: I wouldn't recommend if you want to read the novel. The production did a great job rewriting the script and eliminated all the awkward/ unsatisfying details.

Storyline
This show is not like other GL series because the main focus of the storyline isn't JUST about 2 girls falling in love, cuz it also brings up topic such as being a disabled person in society, family expatation and siblings relationship, and so many more that we will see as the show progresses. Also, Namtan and Film have amazing chemistry and they both potray the character really well, and Snap25 did an amazing job at adapting the novel and changing the storyline to make it less toxic and more enjoyable yet still sticking to premise of the book, huge props to the whole cast and crew.

love it so far!
very good show! finally a mature story plot for a GL. the acting is truly to die for. both leads are amazing and so attractive. the side characters are also amazing as well. 10/10! a much watch for sure! I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds. I am also reading the book alongside the show and I like how the show adds more substance to the story. but it’s fun to watch and also read the story at the same time. highly recommend. hope these two get into another show with eachother. they truly are a force to be reckoned with. they even act better than a lot of BL actorsWas this review helpful to you?
Outstanding GL with high performance leads
Saying that I’m obsessed with this show is minimising the impact it has on my brain.I’ll start by saying that I DON’T LIKE CHAO PLANOY’S adaptations (haven’t red any novels) because they have so many toxic and poorly written characters.
But this one took me off guard.
First of all, just so you know, this is one of the few GLs out there (at least so far) where the two leads (Namtan Tipnaree and Film Rachanun) have a pretty solid background in the industry and had many main lead roles in straight shows, and they have been professional in each of them.
GMMTV combined two strong women with completely opposite personality irl and they are absolute fire together.
On a professional level, the actresses (esp Film at the very beginning when the Pilot trailer was released) were very shy around each other, but they requested to have workshops even before filming, while they were filming a straight show (in which they also starred together “Ploy’s yearbook” but they were “enemies”) so that they could build up the chemistry and get rid of the shyness during working. And they succeeded marvellously.
They are still a bit shy around each other but when they act together you doubt they are not lovers in reality, meaning they are high performers in what they do.
Not to mention they cried when they watched the official trailer for the first time, they really care about the project.
So given that, they are (at least to me) the best in acting I’ve seen in a GL so far, their characters even if they are not green flags, are very compelling and honestly well crafted.
Snap25, the company producing this show, has done an amazing job with the dialogues, twists (so many, like every episode you have more questions than the previous one, but it keeps you HOOKED) and the main love story.
The two main characters May Metawee and Ai-Oon are just two broken souls who are desperate to be loved and loving someone. Their relationship (although is packed with lies and secrets for now) is a slow process of falling in love and understanding of each others.
We all know it will have an happy ending because it’s Chao’s novel and GLs are still new so they wouldn’t dare not to give it to us. Meaning that the two main characters are falling in love and they will overcome all the obstacles and lies surrounding them.
The story is flawing, the twists are exciting to see, the love May and Oon are having is so soft it melts your heart and the two leads are just incredibly professional.
It’s a lethal mix that I personally found myself drown to.
I recommend everyone to give it a go, despite the fact that none of the characters are green flags but they are well written.
