Something beautiful, watchable and amazing
This story is one of the stories that made my 2024 better, i love how this was narrated and given, light plot, heavy romance and definitely the bonding was toptierOhmleng supremely
They easily did everything like it was real, the comfortability between the lead roles could keep you at the edge of your seat, they were more like a married couple than actors,
Leng's Acting
Despite being bashed by the ex fandom, Leng shut many people with his awesome improvement in acting, dude always showed something new every episode, he was so loveable and could capture hearts in seconds
The Music
Oohh don't get start, Tui's From Now On still echos in my ears, whoever chose him for this really deserves a higher salary, dude gave the series a whole new meaning with his voice, ohm and Leng's songs were also like adding butter to the bread, i love the perfection inserted in the music selection of the series
The Supporting Actors
They all felt like they were leads, every person that appeared on the screen left a perfection mark
I can rewatch this for a million times.....Too Good

Another Stockholm Syndrome Plot
I wish a story like this had not been produced. It is a wrong message that got twisted into a pretzel trying to make it feel and turn out respectable. I am sorry but it should not have. Someone was kidnapped at gun point, threatened, tied up, terrorized, and almost killed. And then the victim falls in love with his captor. This is another version of the ‘Stockholm Syndrome’. Yes, of course, the story is more complicated than this. But then again, it really is not. The story gets convoluted and endlessly waxes and wanes between ridiculous plots and scenarios. I cannot say anything bad about the acting.Was this review helpful to you?
Surprised I didn't think I would like it as much as I ended up doing it.
When I saw the trailer, the story intrigued me, but I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. But I did and a lot. I know a lot of people were disappointed in the end because it was billed as a crime, thriller bl and well it's not. Ok, it is for like the first 5 first episodes and after that- well- it just focuses on the love story between Min and Q. And Q learning how to heal from his past trauma thru Min's love. That may sound cheesy to a lot who were expecting more from this series. But to me it didn't bother me at all. I really liked watching the love between MinQ develop , for me it was handled perfectly. Plus, the OhmLeng chemistry was on fire. I really fell in love with them. Many thought that after what happened with Ohm's past ship, he'd never have chemistry with anyone else. Wrong! Kidnap proved that the kid is a chemistry magnet. He is so talented that he knows how to create magic with all his costars.Leng surprised me for a rookie he was not bad at all. He stayed with Ohm in most of their scenes together and was at ease in the romantic scenes. He still needs work, in some areas, yes but he is much better than other actors: rookies and not. He has the potential of being one of the good ones on GMMTV. If he stays with Ohm, I have no doubt he'll continue growing.
As for the story, yes it had it's faults but I liked it and it kept me entertained every week. I know I'll be rewatching it and putting it in my faves list for sure. 9.5/10

Ohm P maybe
I'll grade it as I see it:Ohm P = B-
Ohm T = C
Papang = C+
James = C
Leng = D
Kidnap = D
Reason:
Ohm P is a very natural actor. Even with a terrible script he still manages to bring some charm to his character and tries to elevate a series that should have been better fine tuned before filming. I truly love seeing him on screen so he gets a pass, though even here he seems a bit too relaxed. His talent was wasted here.
Ohm T is also adorable. He is believable as a sick brother and brings the humor which really helps. Again, the script would have someone who had open heart surgery up and about in a few days like nothing happened. They should have chosen a different medical condition. (Idk....Temporary paralysis due to trauma from parents death. With Min going bankrupt due to rehabilitation and therapy bills. Min feeling guilty due to him causing their death. At one of Mhen's therapy sessions he meets Q.) This scenario might have been more in line with the acting level displayed here.
Papang is a very proficient support actor. He can fit in many roles and he did okay. The thing is, the industry probably doesn't see him possessing the 'IT' factor to carry a series. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love him and have never been disappointed with his acting. They know how good he is that's why he's everywhere. I would like to see him more, even as a second lead with something of substance. Another actor's potential wasted.
Title was all over the place with his roles and I do mean roles. First he was Min's agent, then he was part of the underworld, then surprisingly he became a production assistant, then back to being an informant and finally an actor with aspirations of producing his own film. Couldn't they just pick one? You didn't know whether he was coming or going. He brought some comic relief where needed, so he, also, gets a pass. His acting or his roles could have done with a few more workshops.
Leng is new and one of the downsides of the series. Give him time and he will get better but here it was very obvious. He did fit with Ohm but that is because Ohm is a skilled actor. Leng's body language and facial expressions need work. Real hard work. His interactions came across as rehearsed steps and were not fluid. Out of character, he appears to be fun and open with a big dose of charm. Hoping that he can tap into that for future roles. This vehicle was too much for him.
Script - this was a hodgepodge of scenes stitched together with a plot that verred between a love story, a family drama, an action drama and fantasy. Pick two and mix well, not all four. The expectation of it finally hitting its stride never materialized. This is probably the weakest film for Ohm P but as stated before, he is forgiven. Ohm P makes you believe, even a little. Every Friday, Kidnap did not kidnap me, Ohm P did. The terrible script and sub par acting greatly affected the outcome. At the end, the film within the film, saw Ohm's presence shine more than the original film. So that in itself says alot.
It's watchable but no wow factor. Rewatch....Ohmmmmmm maybe.

Very lovely romance
Okay, this was not what the trailer portrayed it to be and I was a bit disappointed. But the harsh criticism it has coped was surprising. So dont watch trailer and I think you will really enjoy the sweetness and honesty of this series.Min was a squishy gorgeous hero, with so much love to give. Q was lonely and once he opened up he was very sweet, who wanted to be loved.
Leng (Q) acted really good, he was a bit stiff to start with but nailed it at the end. (people have judged him harshly especially if this was his first series). Again Min was too dreamy for words. Chemistry was really good and they were not scared to show affection and kiss or hold hands, they did that properly and naked times were well done and hot. No big drama of being gay, they just were and were openly affectionate. No misunderstandings, no third person, no someone moving far away. Just an honest love story with communication 😱😱. Q jealousy was cute, it was done well.
Story was good, you got to know the characters backgrounds. One received therapy (may have been quick but its a tv show), which was nice. Mhen was a good side character a played a big part in his brothers life the whole way through. Others side characters were great James and Junn, even the dad was good.
Rewatch is a 1 star as I never rewatch anything even if I loved it.

Healthy
This ended up being such a sweet story. From healthy communication, fighting for your family, and characters ACTUALLY going to therapy, I absolutely adored this. Ohm and Leng did such a good job portraying love, hurt, and genuine happiness. I hope people give this show a shot because it's one of my favorites now.Was this review helpful to you?
girl, the cartel???
Do I think Kidnap the series is objectively "good"? I mean, no, it's deeply flawed. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely yes I did, I had a great time watching this.The title and premise of this show will lead you to believe this is an action thriller, which it really isn't. I'd argue it's something more along the lines of a romantic dramedy, though there was a scene maybe a third to halfway through the series that was truly an excellently done bit of tense nail-biting action. The show is definitely far more interested in the central relationship than the cartel plot, to the point of wandering off for like three episodes to talk about Min's movie/acting career. (This is where the title of this review comes from; while watching it, we kept going, "Girl, the cartel????") This is a shame, because unlike other shows that try a similar balance, Kidnap has a genuinely great antagonist in Miss Yada, who is both very scary and very hot, so the stakes do actually feel real.
That touches on the two things I think this show does do well: the characters and the stakes. While none of the characters are particularly complicated, they're all acted competently, with Leng being the weakest link (no surprise, this was his first role and I honestly think he does fine/you can see him improving) and he and Ohm have such good chemistry that it makes up for it. And though, like I said, all of the characters are pretty straight forward, everyone who plays a major role has a really obvious goal and internal conflict to motivate their character's actions. In addition to Miss Yada, I want to give special shout out to Title for playing James, the most batshit character in any BL I've ever seen purely because James plays him as so bizarrely offhand and casual about crime. Papang also does really well in this as Suea, who we never learn much about, but he is convincingly threatening and plays a fun role. Also this may be the sexiest he's ever looked; GMMTV, let Papang be sexy again!
As for the stakes, Miss Yada and her cartel do feel like a genuine threat, and she has good reason to go after the main cast. Mhen's illness and Q's PTSD are both narratively convenient at times but also feel pretty genuinely portrayed, and the show takes both conditions seriously. I was particularly surprised and pleased that the show actually had Q going to therapy for his trauma at the end! The show taking its own premise seriously helps balance out the inherent ridiculousness of some of the plot points
This isn't a show that I'd be like, oh, you MUST watch this, but if you're looking for something fun and a little silly, it's not a bad choice! I do think probably the main reason to watch this is for Ohm and Leng, who really work well together and have great physical chemistry; it's too bad we won't be getting another show with them.

Review
Just finished watching the last episode of Kiddnap: The Series, and to be honest, I’m pretty disappointed.I’ve been following the series from the beginning, and I had high expectations, especially with Ohm in the lead. He’s a fantastic actor, and I was excited to see him in a new role. Unfortunately, his talent feels completely wasted here. The storyline didn’t give him much to work with, and the character development just wasn’t there. It’s such a shame because Ohm really deserves a script that highlights his skills and depth as an actor.
As for the other lead actor... well, I’m not going to be too harsh since he's still new to the scene. I hope he improves in future projects, but in this series, his performance didn’t stand out to me. It’s hard to connect with his character when the writing and direction don't give him much to work with.
I’m a huge fan of BL series, but sometimes it feels like these kinds of shows are just a waste of time. There’s so much potential in this genre, but when it’s executed poorly, it can be kind of embarrassing to watch. The storylines feel formulaic, and it’s frustrating when a series doesn’t live up to its potential.
But hey, there’s always hope for the next one, right? The upcoming GMMTV lineup looks promising, and I’m really hoping the next series will be better. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a fresh, engaging story with great chemistry between the leads. The bar is high, but let’s see if they can deliver something worth watching!

Love You, I Love You Not… Repeat
First thing first .... ost From Now On by Tui LYKN is so sweet! hence a 10 !The first half was genuinely engaging — action, sorrow, hardship, tension… all of it pulled me in. But once the characters started caring for each other, the energy dipped. It turned into a repetitive cycle that honestly frustrated me. For about 3–4 episodes it was just:
“I love you.”
“You love me.”
“We can’t be together.”
“I can’t love you.”
“Actually, I love you.”
“I want you.”
“I need to leave.”
On loop. I kept thinking, When will this end?
Then it shifted back into fluff mode again. And knowing GMMTV’s usual pacing, I expected episode 11 to be the big emotional turning point. Technically it was — but it still left me disappointed. The “drama” felt like just a tiny splash, followed by mild concern and a bit of jealousy. That’s it.

Thank You, OhmLeng: Cherishing the Memories of Kidnap
After finishing the series, I realized all Ohm and Leng needed was our full support, and we failed them. They have such undeniable talent and natural chemistry; they deserved so much more recognition while this was airing.From the first episode to the last, I was completely hooked. The production was incredibly well done, and the entire cast gave it their all—especially Khun Yada! She was absolutely gorgeous and nailed her character to perfection. 👏✨
It’s a perfect 9/10 for me. 🌟 I’m genuinely heartbroken that they are no longer a partnership, but I hope they know how much this work truly matters.
