Story line ...
The main lead Ohm was good and carried a lot and seemed to get Leng along with improvings ...The story is, as promising it looked, a dampening affair. Some juvenile shows for teenagers have a better tension ... and yes I know those shows where someone is taken hostage and it was filmed with teens.
The idea of taking the story out of the overworked school/university surroundings is good, but with the story ... and dialogues ... even the english translation lacked. In Germany we have a brilliant voice over culture, which is resuing a lot a shitty story lines and plats. The English crime show The Persuaders! floped in UK, anyhow German broadcast system ZDF bought and made new dialogues for the show and it was an imediate hit. Undertitels can´t do that. But here they showed the original dialogues ...
For the productplacements ... yes they are too often as here too a slap in the face and made this show a advertising sometimes with unnatural behavior while showing the procuct. Such can be done, and it´s not only here in this show, far better and more subtle. Ads, productplacement is a way of financing ... sometimes I wish Films all over the world could be financially backed as Europe is doing it. Productplacement there is forbidden.
A great chance has been send down the gurgler ...

OhmLeng make it work it!
I was hesitant with this one at first. I was going to wait until the whole show as up before watching, but Ohm and Leng's chemistry was too hard to resist and definitely carried the show for me. The plot was interesting and I enjoyed the "action" element. I really liked that we actually got to see Leng's character work through his trauma and seek out help and was honest with the fact that he wanted to do it for someone else. It was super refreshing to see his trauma not just magically "fixed" once he and Ohm's character became official. His dad just disappeared in the last episode and I though that was kind of lame since he was a major source of conflict for Leng; he could've had one little scene instead of only being mentioned.Overall, I would recommend this one, but I don't think I would rewatch it. I am excited though and hope Ohm and Leng do another project in the future.

sweet & wholesome <3
I found this show to be a good watch , I like the fact that it's so cute & pure showing a beautiful romance start to bud without trying too hard. I feel like they're many bl out there where it doesn't feel natural because the actors are over the top with the acting but this didn't feel like that at all , honestly beautifully done. Min & Q are the perfect couple ! ^^Was this review helpful to you?

Was the script of this series written by ChatGPT?
The plot lost itself so many times it gave me total whiplash. The titlesake "kidnapping" only happens in the first 2 episodes and the second-last one. And then it became a mafia story. And then it became a beach romance. And then it was about Min becoming an actor... I feel like this series wanted to be so many things at the same time it ended up being absolutely nothing. It dragged on at some parts and it rushed others, like for example: I think the story moved on waaaaay too quickly from the fact that Min's best friend literally kidnaps people for ramson as a side hustle... with how easily he did it with Q it obviously wasn't his first time... and that fact never gets addressed again lol Q and him even become friends later on. Maybe this would have had benefitted from being a shorter 8 episodes series where it ends after Q chases Min down to the beach he moved to and they get back together ~ROLL CREDITS~.This series came in a very weird and experimental period for GMMTV BL, where they want to make more serious shows with darker storylines, but they just can't let go of the cheesy romcoms and soap opera writting they're so known for. It feels like like they're trying to do Kinnporsche when all they know how to do is Bad Buddy... but they can't even commit to the elements that made both of this series into classics in the first place.
But tbf... you could convince me to watch absolutely anything as long as Ohm Pawat was in it. He has such a natural chemistry with anyone that he acts alongside, both romantically and platonically. His brotherly relationship with Ohmtpk was really a highlight in this show, if you told me they were brothers irl i'd have believed you . Ohmtpk also had really great chemistry with Leng. Mhen being a sickly homeschooled boy he obviously didn't have many friends to spare, it made perfect sense in the story that someone as lonely as him would immediately bond with someone as lonely as Q and develop a deep friendship (also Ohmtpk is soooo good, i saw his minor role in Last Twilight and he absolutely killed it. Can't wait to see more from him, this boy is going places).
But i'm surprised to hear they will keep OhmLeng as a couple for future series, I thought they would be an one-series-only couple like all of Ohm's previous partners. Ohm has been coupled with phenomenal actors like Singto and Nanon, so Leng had big expectations to live up to on his debut and unfortunately he wasn't quite there yet and in a lot of moments in this show his acting felt very stiff. I think maybe this type of more cute and fragile character like Q doesn't really suit him bc he looked waaaay more promising as a gang leader in the trailer of Mu-Te-Luv and I'm really excited for that story.
I had originally given this series a 7.0 but then I realized I gave 6.5 to series who are waaaaay worse than this one so here, have more half a star (as a treat). The relationship amongst the characters and the chemistry amongst the cast (and Ohm Pawat's LETHAL face card) were just barely enough to save a series that could've been a total trainwreck. If they had deleted the entire mafia/kidnapping plot and made this series be just the story of a stuntman who dreams of becoming an actor as he cares for his sickly brother and a song writer who can never fully debut as a singer bc the public exposition would put him in danger due to his father's job as a police officer... it would honestly had been PHENOMENAL. It's time for GMMTV directors learn to not bite more than they can chew (they won't always have Ohm's insane eyebrow game to save their shows).

Kidnapped Potential
*sigh*So much promise, so much hope, so much excitement over this potentially action filled BL drama. Only to be left disappointed. What even is this series? Is it a drama? Is it a comedy? Is it a romance? The writing was terrible. There is no better way to put it, like truly. They advertised this show to be darker in tone with a kidnapping subplot. What we got instead was maybe 2 episodes of a kidnapping, some weird "Stockholm" type syndrome relationship, and like 5 different subplots in between.
Now, to talk about OhmLeng. Granted, I am typing this right after hearing the news about their separation as a pair but the chemistry for me just wasn't there. Ohm did fantastic as per usual, playing the part of a "so in love" pining boyfriend that he knows how to play so well. Leng was a pleasant surprise. He showed great promise, even though this is his first main role, he carried himself well but there were moments that were just forgettable. It wasn't a stand out performance and honestly the script could have had something to do with that. Their intimate scenes were sweet but honestly I felt bored after a while, it was missing a spark.
Overall, I would recommend this drama if you are into romcoms because that is what this felt like, not a drama. I would also recommend if you are a fan of Ohm or Leng.
But if you are looking for something darker and more intense, look somewhere else.
URGENT SALE.

OhmLeng were BOTH kidnapped with this plot
Hi, I am your short review person. The plot started off strong, but soon you'll know that the genres that were promised were actually not delivered. It is actually, at it's core, a rom-com with a bit of drama infused. There is not even angst between the couple. Not a lot at least. Lasts 2 parts of one episode. SO if you're looking for a sweet heart-warming story with slight ups and downs and a good-ish chemistry on a warm saturday afternoon, yep, this is it. But it's not "gonna keep you up at night" good. Was this review helpful to you?
Predictable, but still fun
Kidnap was a solid show that, while fairly predictable, was a fun watch. I did hope for a little bit more on the whole...yknow kidnapping aspect? But overall I enjoyed it and am very glad that GMM has announced Ohm and Leng as an official pairing after watching this.Min (Ohm) works as an action stunt double, and with his sick brother, he's in need of some quick money. His agent sets him up on a job to earn a lot of money fast, but it involves kidnapping a rich kid named Q (Leng) for ransom. Min thinks this will be a quick job that he can forget about easily, but when he's told to kill Q instead, Min takes him and hides him. Naturally, Min is going to get in serious trouble if the client finds out Q is still alive, but keeping him quiet at Min's house isn't easy either. The two start to get to know each other and become wrapped up in the drama of Q's father's police investigation with mafia-like criminals.
Min and Q's relationship was very fun to watch develop, and I didn't think any issue was overly drawn out. I did think that pretty much every conflict in the show was predictable - it felt like we were going around in circles where Min and Q would take turns with the whole "we need to break up so you can be safe" thing. I also felt like this was one of the least convincing "poor protagonists" ever. You're saying you need money but you have TWO large houses?? I get he was trying to sell one but still, it felt a little off. Overall this show was a fun watch and the main couple had great chemistry. Even though I felt like it didn't do anything too new, I enjoyed it and am excited to see what Ohm and Leng do next.

Too Many Flashbacks, Slow Pacing, and Excessive Product Placement
I found the beginning of the series interesting, even with a premise that feels a lot like fanfic. I enjoyed getting to know the characters up until episode 4, but from that point on, the pacing became slow and repetitive. The flashbacks and nightmares started to get tiring, and the plot didn’t seem to move forward. I was expecting more action and suspense, but I ended up watching a slice of life about a traumatized boy who didn’t want to go back home. On the other hand, I liked Ohm’s new ship; they have great chemistry and deserved a better-written storyline. Additionally, the excessive and poorly integrated product placements in the series made the experience even worse. Was this review helpful to you?
Different settings.
Finally a bl show with Ohm outside of the traditional school or college settings! Both actors seem to have the chemistry there now to see if the chemistry keeps up with the plot and story line. This isn't the first time Ohm has done bl with different actors. Glad to see him still doing them and watching his acting enhance as he gets older.. Only drawback is here in the states even on YouTube it seems to be delayed episodes in being able to watch it that is the only problem with viewing it at the moment. Was this review helpful to you?

did i expect too much or what
i just thought the story would be more exciting and fun than that, you know. this just didn't work for me personally and it just became boring as it went on. as soon as i found out the dad knew all along about the "kidnapping" and it actually just lined up with his plan, they lost me lol the romance is just eh, i also thought it'd be angstier than that but min was a goner the second he saw q with a guitar (lmao a classic). i feel like they could do so much (so! much!) with the romance with the themes that they had but it just never went there. because of this, i didn't really feel emotionally attached by the characters either. i guess mhen and and min's sibling relationship is nice and sweet but not really enough to emotionally move me.ohm as a simp is always a good time tho because that guy knows how to do the heart-eyes lol like i just instantly believe him everytime. he's just good at acting being in love. when it comes to emotional scenes, i think leng's acting is still lacking. i mean there's always room for improvement but yeah, just like i said, didn't really move me emotionally.
i would be interested to see ohmleng again in a a different story. maybe they should just give them something light and fun instead! (but not in a school setting pls lol)

Practically lives from the chemistry of OhmLeng.
OK... I've sat one hour, I've cried, I've contemplated, I've stared at the wall whilst thinking until I've gotten a headache and I have come to the conclusion... that was very boring for me.Two things I really liked were OhmLeng and the orange car, and that says something, because I am generally not a person who has a thing for cars at all ... and I mean at all!
Everything starts out great. I loved how they met and that entire kidnapping idea. Then there was the relationship. Everything went so clichéd, a bit of family drama, a little police investigation, jealousy... blah blah blah. Everyone and everything was perfectly familiar. To the point of boredom. Was there a climax to this series? I must have missed it. Maybe it was the kidnapping of Q (um,again...what?)! No, no, maybe it was when Q reconciled with his father! Maybe not. The plot is so flat I couldn't tell when to peak my interest.
Story - It had potential. There were even a few parts I internally squealed at in hopeful anticipation. But whatever potential it did have was hopelessly squandered.
Acting/Cast - А slight shrug...It's the best thing about the series.
Music - Nice try, but just nothing memorable.
Rewatch Value - Never, never again.
Overall..not a great experience.

Ohmleng as chemisty
it's a easy show to watch with some actions and a nice little love story. the two actors are really cute together. this is a new kind of subject in bl about getting kidnap and falling in love with the kidnapper. their love is not toxic. it just really cute. the love scenes deserve rewatching . Q and Mhen friendship is really precious and I love how Mhen support his brother love life. for now I think it's not he best BL I have ever seen But it's still a really good.nif it can make me excited for Friday's every weeks that's means it's a good dramaWas this review helpful to you?
