Husband Not Playing about hid wife! Straight to badness!!!

Loved this episode, and loved when the instinct to punish a wrongdoer for harming his wife did not drag! Gave me chills! Defiantly realistic was far as the quick reaction! Played that scene over so many times!

Five Stars

This is hands down the best C-drama I’ve seen in 2026! The cast is phenomenal, and the main character absolutely shines—especially with their co-lead, who together have unmatched chemistry. They are easily the best on-screen couple of the year. The director’s work is top-tier, with action scenes that are incredibly well-executed and visually stunning. The cinematography is flawless, making every episode a treat to watch. Each episode keeps getting better, and the action continues to impress. I also appreciate the fast-paced storyline and that they stayed true to the original book with only minimal changes. This drama sets a new standard for the genre!

The Marquis Wu'an enters the stage

Zheng's love for Chang Yu reached yet another level in this episode, showing the Marquis of Wu'an's true ruthlessness toward that meat guy. I loved how he turned so fierce and protective, ready to kill just because that guy "wanted to scare her". Uff, the feels! I loved every single bit of it.

I was so looking forward to seeing how the plot with Gongsun and the disguised scholar would evolve. This episode revealed her as the Grand Princess, Qi Shu. Gongsun recognized her and noticed the Empress Dowager An, using her as a distraction to lure Li Huai'an away from the Marquis.
He had to give up his heart for that plan; I saw how sad it made him to lose the Go partner he had waited so long to meet. The Princess’s heart just broke as well from this unwanted separation. I really like this couple, and I hope the plot eventually works in their favour.

I am still very intrigued by Yu Qianqian's background. Who was the man she married? Who is the father of her son? Who is she hiding from? It really looks like she and Qi Min have a history.

Either way, the plot is thickening and slowly moving into the next phase. I expect a major shift soon, as way too many people now know the Marquis is alive. I can see the chessboard of the political game moving, and a war is clearly brewing.

P.S. I just can't... the actor playing Zhou Ran, Han Yi Ting, looks so much like a young Hou Ming Hao... those eyes!

Tables Break, Secrets Grow

First Impression
This episode gives us a tense stalemate between ML and Lord Li, an ambush that nearly costs the FL her life, and a whole new layer of court politics. Also… apparently ML can break tables without even trying.
🪷
Episode Thoughts
The episode opens with ML and Lord Li at a stalemate. Neither one trusts the other and both are clearly testing each other’s limits.
🪷
ML says his piece and leaves with the little sister, but not before proving exactly why people shouldn’t underestimate him. Lord Li’s bodyguard mutters that ML only broke a cup… and then the entire table snaps in half.
🪷
Yeah… he’s definitely not someone to mess with.
🪷
And that’s with him not even at full strength.
🪷
Meanwhile our FL and Manager Yu are ambushed on the way home. FL manages to fight off most of them (our butcher girl is not helpless), but Butcher Guo throws something in her face and she passes out.
🪷
Thankfully ML happens to be nearby for a secret meeting in the woods and hears the cry for help. He arrives just in time and knocks Butcher Guo out.
🪷
Back home things get intense.
🪷
ML demands answers from Butcher Guo and is absolutely furious. He beats him brutally and is dangerously close to killing him. No one can stop him until the FL gently asks him to stop.
🪷
Not because Guo deserves mercy… but because ML going to prison for murder isn’t worth it.
🪷
Their care for each other is growing stronger with every episode.
🪷
Meanwhile at the academy we finally get a little more background on the Headmaster and Mr An — who we now know is actually Princess Royal in disguise.
🪷
Turns out she’s had a crush on the Headmaster ever since they played Go together from afar.
🪷
The Headmaster figures out her identity and writes to the Dowager Empress telling her the Princess is at the academy. At first it feels like a bit of a betrayal… but there’s clearly more going on.
🪷
Before she’s forced back to the palace, the Princess runs to the Headmaster hoping he doesn’t know who she really is and that things might change.
🪷
But he turns her away.
🪷
It’s hard to tell if he’s doing it to protect her because he thinks he’s not good enough… or if he truly wants distance.
🪷
Either way, the Dowager Empress decides to shut down the Princess’ feelings completely by arranging a blind date for her.
🪷
With Lord Li.
🪷
Yeah… I did not see that coming.
🪷
And honestly, the court politics are becoming more confusing by the episode. I still can’t tell who the real villain is.
🪷
Just when you think the episode is winding down, a new mysterious man appears at the restaurant.
🪷
Manager Yu immediately looks terrified.
🪷
She’s clearly hiding something — and the way her home is locked up suggests she’s trying to keep someone out.
🪷
But who?
🪷
And why is she so afraid for her child?
🪷
Favourite Moment
ML casually breaking a table after already cracking a cup. Subtle intimidation level: expert.
🪷
Trope Check
• Protective ML
• Ambush attack
• Almost revenge killing
• Hidden royal identity
• Court politics
• Mysterious new villain

ZLH is so good at those dark character moments.

Xie Zheng lost it when he was afraid of losing Fan Changyu. He loves her so much. She was the only one who was able to bring him back from that moment of darkness too. Their love story is great. ZLH and TXW chemistry is one for the books too! The tension, sigh. So we're veering off into the second and third couple now too. Interesting.

Marquis of Wu'an

We are getting more and more backstories of each character in this episode like Gong and Princess, QQ and QM. But the highlights of the day should be XZ showing his full fleet Marquis aura to that despicable person .The whole scene sequence is like roller coaster ride. The confirmation of the affection they held for each other.

Proof That One Tear Can Outshine a Thousand Kisses

Episode 11 is absolute gold and I mean that with zero hesitation. What truly stood out for me is the way the drama shows Xie Zheng’s feelings for Chang Yu through tiny but powerful details. On their way home from work, Chang Yu and Qian Qian are suddenly attacked by Guo Da Li and his men. As expected, Chang Yu handles herself like the capable woman she is and drives them away, but Guo Da Li pulls a dirty trick and throws poison at her. Just when things are about to go south, Xie Zheng arrives like a one man storm. When they return home and Guo Da Li is captured, we see Xie Zheng in full furious mode. Without hesitation he stabs Guo Da Li and proceeds to beat him relentlessly. In that moment he truly looks like a man ready to cross the point of no return because someone dared to hurt Chang Yu. No one in the room can stop him and he is seconds away from killing Guo Da Li when Chang Yu wakes up and softly calls out “Yan Zheng.” Just like that, he freezes. Yes, it is the classic you hurt her you die moment followed by the equally classic only my girl can calm me down trope, but the way it is executed is so heart fluttering that I had zero complaints. And of course, Zhang Ling He delivers visuals like it is his full time job. I genuinely had to pause and rewind the scene multiple times just to process the eye candy and grab screenshots in my mind. But the real gold comes right after. Chang Yu tells him that if he ends up in prison for killing someone because of her, she would feel sad. And what does Xie Zheng do? He immediately pulls her into a hug and then lets out a tear that he wipes away almost instantly. I am not exaggerating when I say that single tear deserves its own award. That moment will live rent free in my head for a long time. It is incredible how the drama manages to show love, tension, yearning, protectiveness, and pure emotional chaos through something as simple as one tear. No kiss, no hand holding, just one tear and suddenly my heart is doing gymnastics. I may or may not have screamed at my screen. Aside from that emotional masterpiece, this episode also introduces several new characters. Xie Zheng’s subordinates from the Blood Robe Cavalry Guard, Xie Qi and Xie Wu, finally appear and meet him in the forest to deliver updates. I am already looking forward to seeing more of them because they add a certain charisma around Xie Zheng while also bringing a bit of humor to the story. I am especially hoping they get to interact with Chang Yu and little Chang Ning because that dynamic has so much potential. We also meet the Princess Royal Qi Shu, who seems to have feelings for Yin Gong Sun but is being matched with Li Huai An instead. My early impression is that Qi Shu might end up being one of those troublesome characters who stir chaos wherever they go, so I am cautiously preparing myself for some potential headaches. The episode also drops two important revelations about Yu Qian Qian. First, she has a son around the same age as Chang Ning and is extremely protective of him, which explains her constant anxiety about safety. Second, we are introduced to a man named Qi Min, played by Deng Kai, whose very first appearance is basically a walking red flag parade. Violent, obsessive, controlling, you name it. My guess is that he might be the husband Yu Qian Qian ran away from, which would explain why she is always on edge. One more thing I want to mention is the cinematography. So far, Pursuit of Jade has been serving pure visual gold. The lighting, colors, and overall atmosphere have been gorgeous. However, I did notice in this episode that the palace scenes looked surprisingly basic compared to the rest of the drama. It might be the overused set, or perhaps the difference in color grading and visual effects, but those moments almost felt like they belonged to a completely different drama. It stood out especially because the scenes in Xigu Lane continue to look stunning and immersive. It would have been perfect if the palace sequences carried the same wow factor as Xigu Lane. And yes, I am fully aware that Xigu Lane itself is CGI, which honestly makes it even more impressive. All in all, Episode 11 delivers romance, tension, and new plot threads in the most satisfying way, but let’s be honest, that single tear from Xie Zheng completely stole the show.
