1The Bamboo Tall Squad: A Reality Show That Deserves a Drama Deal
Okay, this is my first time writing a review for a reality show 🙇♂️📌Production & Sets:
So good. Everything looked super polished. Though I gotta say—even though I didn’t watch Season 1—I’ve seen clips of the sets from back then, and honestly, some of them seemed a bit more detailed than this season’s. Still, no complaints—it looked great overall.
📌Missions & Storyline:
The missions were super creative, with some fun sci-fi twists that kept things feeling fresh. Watching the team piece things together, analyze evidence, and figure out the suspects was honestly so entertaining. At times, it felt like they focused a bit too much on just finding the “X” or the murderer instead of working together. But they definitely fixed that later on—especially in the finale, where they teamed up for one big goal. I really liked how the cases slowly connected and built up into one main storyline. The way everything tied together by the end was super satisfying.
📌The Cast Vibes:
The cast this season was just perfect!
Liu Yuning kinda felt like the unofficial main character—he naturally took charge during investigations and had this leader vibe. I mean in the light not in the dark. 💀
Bai Yu was the eagle eye of the group. He’d be the first to sit down and chill, but when he is standing, he always spotted what everyone else misses and is a door opener and the one who is not afraid of the dark. (Shadow leader)
Zhou Keyu broke things down so well—his case analyses made everything clearer for us viewers understand.
Dilraba was the heart of the group, whether in the dark or light . Always fun to watch, and her blunt takes? Hilarious. Love her so much! ❤️ 🐣 ( Why I started this in the first place)
Zhang Linghe handled most of the brainy math stuff and, yeah, he came up with some super random theories, but he was key in solving so many parts by narrowing down suspects.
I seriously love this cast lineup. As long as the 5 stays together I will watch it. Bamboo tall Squad🙋♂️
This show totally deserves an award for best reality TV. (belated congratulations 🎉)
—they need to be in a drama together. 🫠
I highly recommend watching this. If you can find better subs than I did, even better—because I watched it with “almost serviceable” ones, with my equally “almost serviceable” Mandarin carrying me through. 🤣

More complex story with Strong casts!
The storyline is more complexed than S1. The production was great as expected. The chemistry among old and new casts were great. Liu Yu Ning, Bai Yu and Daniel Zhou had done a great job to welcome the new casts. Dilraba was very strong while Zhang Ling He was the fastest learner. I cannot wait for S3 with this crews.Frankly speaking, I prefer S1 when the casts had worked together to identify the murderer. In S2, the casts spent time suspecting each other's within the group which I like less. However, the group dynamic was great, especially the final ep when they showed their understanding on each one's strength and weakness...and fully accepted it.
Once again, looking forward to the S3.

I wish it has at least 20 episodes
This is my first time watching this kind of show. Tbh i didn't expect anything since the very 1st time I watched it. But, 6 episodes so far I like all the story lines, all the plots. The casts are all amazing. I read it somewhere that this season only has 10 episodes. How I wish this season would have more than 10 episodes since the 1st season has 30 episodes.Was this review helpful to you?
Keep viewers on their toes
Interesting plot & fun to watch the interaction between the cast. Only wished that Dilraba would be selected as a culprit, but hopefully, she will have this chance in the next season. And the costumes were spectacular. Thanks to the production team who did great work. Also, would like to see more episodes in a season.Was this review helpful to you?
Cast for Next season
I enjoyed every episode, I laughed so much, this show made my days as I watched every episode. Thank you for that!In the next season would like to see Dilraba Dilmurat come back , she is so funny and genuine, sweet and Beautiful. She was one of the reasons I continued watching and Zhou Keyu, he is a sweetheart, caring and so smart, they were my two favorite actors in this show. Hopefully in the next season they can have as guests Xioa Zhan, Wang yibo or Deng Wei. One can hope :).
I'm looking forward to the next season, im anxious.
