The Bamboo Tall Squad: A Reality Show That Deserves a Drama Deal
Okay, this is my first time writing a review for a reality show šāāļø
šProduction & Sets:
So good. Everything looked super polished. Though I gotta sayāeven though I didnāt watch Season 1āIāve seen clips of the sets from back then, and honestly, some of them seemed a bit more detailed than this seasonās. Still, no complaintsāit looked great overall.
šMissions & Storyline:
The missions were super creative, with some fun sci-fi twists that kept things feeling fresh. Watching the team piece things together, analyze evidence, and figure out the suspects was honestly so entertaining. At times, it felt like they focused a bit too much on just finding the āXā or the murderer instead of working together. But they definitely fixed that later onāespecially in the finale, where they teamed up for one big goal. I really liked how the cases slowly connected and built up into one main storyline. The way everything tied together by the end was super satisfying.
šThe Cast Vibes:
The cast this season was just perfect!
Liu Yuning kinda felt like the unofficial main characterāhe naturally took charge during investigations and had this leader vibe. I mean in the light not in the dark. š
Bai Yu was the eagle eye of the group. Heād be the first to sit down and chill, but when he is standing, he always spotted what everyone else misses and is a door opener and the one who is not afraid of the dark. (Shadow leader)
Zhou Keyu broke things down so wellāhis case analyses made everything clearer for us viewers understand.
Dilraba was the heart of the group, whether in the dark or light . Always fun to watch, and her blunt takes? Hilarious. Love her so much! ā¤ļø š£ ( Why I started this in the first place)
Zhang Linghe handled most of the brainy math stuff and, yeah, he came up with some super random theories, but he was key in solving so many parts by narrowing down suspects.
I seriously love this cast lineup. As long as the 5 stays together I will watch it. Bamboo tall Squadšāāļø

I highly recommend watching this. If you can find better subs than I did, even betterābecause I watched it with āalmost serviceableā ones, with my equally āalmost serviceableā Mandarin carrying me through. š¤£
