Shinsengumi: With You I Bloom Episode 12

Daisaku is tormented with guilt, having unintentionally killed his best friend. Shinnojo-sama, who was shaken by the Ikedaya Incident, asks Namunosuke if he really had not changed. Kyujuro, who is still in shock after his very first kill, is unable to hold the sword. However, he is appreciated by Kondo Isami for proving his sincerity to Daisaku. Kyujuro reveals about the word 'traitor' spoken by Gengo. Hijikata-san, overhearing this, hands over a sword and tells Kyujuro to kill off the spy himself, in spite of protests from Kondo that he did not know who the spy was. Daisaku is taken to Katsuragi Kogoro, who threatens that either he will kill Kyujuro or somebody else will eventually do it for him. Matsudaira Katomori appreciates the Shinsengumi for their bravery but scoffs that they are only 'assassins' to the people and demands that changes be made. Daisaku attempts to choke Kyujuro in his sleep but is unable to do so. Kyujuro wakes up and reveals about his 'task' to Daisaku. When a sudden Choshu rebel attack is announced, Kyujuro dives in head first, and Daisaku attempts to stop him, telling him that ruthlessly cutting down anyone will do no good for him. Kyujuro is appalled that Daisaku is the person of all to tell him this. Daisaku watches tearfully as Kyujuro cuts down the rebels, blaming himself for having turned Kyujuro into a killer.
