Thai horror strikes again!
I think reading reviews and critics of anthologies is one of the funniest things ever, cause every single person can have a completely different opinion on an episode and a story. You can read someone saying “this is easily the best episode in the anthology” and right after someone else mentioning “this was the worst episode in the series” and they both can be right at the same time. This is not the first horror anthology I have watched, and certainly not the first Thai horror anthology, but it is easily one of the best.
As a whole, I can only say that the series was extremely entertaining and very easy to watch. In other words, a binge-worthy drama. That aside, the directing/cinematography was great in the majority -if not all- of the stories and the atmosphere was as dark as it should be for a horror series.
I can’t really judge the other aspects without mentioning each episode individually, but generally there were some great performances in some of the episodes and also some pretty bad ones. Some stories were great, others not so much, but I think everyone will find at least one they will like.
This is a horror anthology though and there is only one main question; Is it scary?
Honestly, I don’t think I am the right person to answer this, since I rarely get scared -due to years long experience when it comes to horror lol-. However, I will mention that there is some shocking imagery and there are quite a few well done violent/gore scenes, so yes, I would say that for people that are not really that much into horror, the series may be scary or at least disturbing and "I'll cover my eyes" worthy.
There are definitely a lot of horror tropes used (haunted houses, murders, spirits etc.) and some predictable moments, but the series also has some pretty well done endings and it is undoubtedly fun to watch. So, for horror fans, you will certainly have a good time, be it because you had fun or you were hate watching.
My favorite episodes:
- Our Little Sister (episode 1)
- The Vow (episode 4)
- Viral Curse (episode 8)
My least favorite episodes:
- Spectral Class (episode 5)
- Dear Granny (episode 7)
Best episode directing/cinematography wise:
- Our Little Sister (episode 1)
Best episode acting wise:
- The Vow (episode 4)
Funniest + most extra episode:
- Spectral Class (episode 5): I swear, the scriptwriter was high when he was writing this.
The most unique -in terms of horror- episode:
- The Vow (episode 4)
The most psychological horror episode:
- Viral Curse (episode 8)
The most graphic episodes in terms of violence:
- Ode to my Family (episode 3) + This also gets the “best title award”
- Wedding Dress (episode 2) + This one had also Tim Burton vibes
(+ I could also add Spectral Class, but it was way too ridiculous for me to do so...)
Performances that stood out to me the most:
- Care as Milk (Wedding Dress)
- Gee as Nat (The Vow)
- Smile as Dao (The Vow)
- Bee as Montha (Dear Granny)
- Nina as Ple (Viral Curse)
- Maralyn as Kaew (Viral Curse)
- Nat as Bird (Girl Next Door)
- Piglet as Jane (Girl Next Door)
All in all, this -along with the After Dark Thai anthology (free promotion, cause that series is way too underrated)- is a must for horror fans and it manages to be entertaining from beginning to end, making it a binge-worthy drama (that I hope gets a second season).

Scary yet entertaining
I was really looking forward to this new horror anthology as I loved the previous one (Angkhan Khumplong the series) and it didn't disappoint me at all, I enjoyed being scared by their various short stories lolIt was really scary but some were rather weirdly funny and yet, it was very entertaining to the point I've binge watched all the episodes in 2 days (well 2 afternoon / evenings).
As it was around 40 minutes, it was an easy watch as if you grabbed some snacks and you've just realized a few hours later you almost or you have finished it.
Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed every stories but of course, I still have some favorites which are Our little sister, Ode to my family, The Vows and Viral Curse .. And I wanted to add another one but I'm quite reluctant.
This anthology offered interesting and creepy stories mixed with cultural belief and actors are really great at portraying their own characters, I've already seen some actors and once again they slayed their role such as Nat Kitcharit (Bird in Girl next door), Piglet Charada (also in Girl next door). Fun fact they were both in another anthology called After Dark that I also liked.
I want to mention Poon Mitpakdee as I saw him in Shadow and currently in The Trainee, his role in this horror story helps him to take another step in his acting career (although I know he acted in others series before Shadow but I'm glad he picked this project!).
In addition, the cinematography and the effects / the production were really good. I think, you can atleast find your favorite one among these 8 stories.

definitely very creepy
Terror Tuesday: Extreme. 8 episodes of 8 horror stories based off of people’s real-life experiences (apparently). The stories are all really good but obviously some episodes are better than others. They all have plot twists but some episodes have more interesting ones.
MY FAVS:
1 - Our Little Sister (loved the story)
3 - Ode to My Family (plot twist!!)
7 - Dear Granny (really enjoyed this one)
LEAST FAVS:
2 - Wedding Dress (mediocre story)
5 - Spectral Class (found the story a bit boring)
I didn’t watch the episodes in order. This is the order I watched them in: 1, 4, 3, 7, 6, 8, 2, 5. I recommend watching them in order by whatever interests you the most in that moment, it makes the viewing experience more enjoyable overall, obviously since they’re stand-alones.
The acting was great every episode, I really loved the acting in “Our Little Sister”.
Anyway, this is a great filler for in between other shows. I don’t think I’d ever binge this though. I may or may not rewatch selected episodes if I forget the story.
OVERALL:
8/10. Great horror stories! Sorry this review is short lol! I must mention though, your opinion may be highly different to mine and you may love or hate different episodes. It’s up to you!
If you decide to watch, enjoy!

Strong start, Weak Ending
Overall, this series was good. Do not let the title scare you off because the episodes range from creepy (in a good way) to suspense thriller. My only complaint is this was not terrifying nor extreme. However, I grew-up watching horror films from the 80’s and 90’s which means it takes a lot to scare me. Warning, some of the episodes have gory scenes in it. The good thing is none of the episodes are linked together and you can skip one with no worries. The script for the first 5 episodes were the best for me. The last 3 episodes were the weakest in this series. The cast did a perfect job with their characters. It also had great cinematography, special effects, and make-up.Random Note:
I’m not 100% positive, but I’m almost certain that the apartment location used in episode 6 (Girl Next Door) was the same one used in “1000 Years Old” series.

I liked the PREQUEL Anthology, "Angkhan Khlumpong the Series", more, since it got serious n more scary stories.
Watched those at 3 AM! 😂
Both the Seasons are Standalone anthology series .
If U are a horror genre lover, Watch S1 too, which is 10/10 for me.
(U can check my reviews for both seasons :) )

The horror!
Wasn't actually that scary now that I think about it, sure it had it's fair share of jump scares but overall, am I much impressed? Let's find out!Episode 1 - Our Little Sister
Story factor - 8.0
Scare factor - 1.0
Standout performance - Aye (Cherprang)
This was a fairly good story with a solid plot twist, it was a bit creepy and a bit sad and was quite the start to the series, the best one to start with as well I would say, they made a great decision to have this be the first of the anthology.
Final score - 7.0
Episode 2 - Wedding Dress
Story factor - 5.0
Scare factor - 3.0
Standout performance - Milk (Care)
This is one of the stories I thought would have benefited from a longer runtime, a full length movie perhaps, because while it was sad and scary, it didn't really create the impact it could have. Nevertheless, a solid entry, not the best
Final score - 5.5
Episode 3 - Ode to My Family
Story factor - 8.5
Scare factor - 1.5
Standout performance - Chawin (Poon)
This was my favorite episode and even without my obvious biased opinion, this is one of the best episodes in the series. Good suspense, psychological horror as opposed to just gore and a plot twist I genuinely did not see coming. The only one I didn't see coming by the way, other episodes did have plot twists that were predictable to an extent but this one I didn't anticipate.
Final score - 9.0
Episode 4 - The Vow
Story factor - 7.0
Scare factor - 1.5
Standout performance - Nat (Gee)
This was one of the episodes that was good, but compared to others, just felt a like bit of a letdown. Nothing wrong with the episode itself to be honest, just not my personal favorite. It was psychological horror and I believe the only one that was inspired by an urban legend, so props to that.
Final score - 7.0
Episode 5 - Spectral Class
Story factor - 1.0
Scare factor - 2.0
Standout performance - Nik (Prince)
This.. what on earth did I witness with this episode? I hated it. I'm sorry but I absolutely hated it. I know that horror stories don't necessarily have to make sense but come on! This was nonsense. Unnecessarily violent and gruesome nonsense. Just.. ugh.
Final score - 1.0
Episode 6 - Girl Next Door
Story factor - 8.0
Scare factor - 3.0
Standout performance - Bird (Nat)
This was the saddest episode of them all, I was actually tearing up toward the end of the episode. The set up was sad, the twist ending was sad, everything about this was quite emotional and what I thought would be one of my least favorites when I started the episode turned into something that impressed me
Final score - 7.5
Episode 7 - Dear Granny
Story factor - 5.0
Scare factor - 5.5
Standout performance - Nulek (Sydney)
This was definitely the scariest episode and a close runner up for the position of episode I hated most. No, not because it was scary. It was again, just not very believable or coherent. The twist ending was not explained very well, even if it had to be ambiguous, there are definitely ways to clear stuff up for the audience and this was not it. Again, pointless gore with a hint of a story.. not a fan
Final score - 4.0
Episode 8 - Viral Curse
Story factor - 6.0
Scare factor - 5.0
Standout performance - Ple (Nina)
This had both a decent story and some good scares, but unfortunately I was kind of over it by the time I got to this episode and my interest just plummeted. It was a very meta and well executed plot but much like the second episode, needed more time to develop. It wasn't bad, but I was just not into it.
Final score - 6.5
The acting in almost all the parts really impressed me, they did have some standout performances I liked but I did think the acting was solid all around.
The direction and writing.. definitely could have used some work.
Adding all the scores and finding the average.. came out to a score of around 5.9.. let's round up to a 6..
So did it impress me? Almost? Some of them absolutely did, others disappointed, and a rare one actually made me want to chuck something out of a window.

Another "terrifying" Thai horror with some spin tingling twists and turns .
Season two!!!! Let's go!!!! I loved the first one. Thai horrors are always great!!! Still waiting for an After Dark sequel. Our Little Sister: Haunted doll ghost story. Fear Factor 3/10
Wedding Dress: Revenge ghost story. Fear Factor 7/10. Since most people are so partial to sex scenes and nudity (I've been desensitized so much) there is a big one in this episode.
Ode to Family: Haunted house story, think Amityville Horror with a, I don't know, parallel universe twist?? It wasn't scary, but it was WILD! The plot twist was crazy. Fear Factor 2/10 (fav)
The Vow: Couples therapy with a supernatural twist. Not scary, but the suspense was great. Fear Factor 0/10
Spectral Class was so funny. A teacher gets mixed up with the wrong family.....or is it the other way around....dun dun DUN!. I didn't get the point of it, but I enjoyed the mother and son duo and the story. Fear Factor 0/10.
Girl Next Door: Can't have a horror without my boy Nat. Your usual the girl next door is more than meets the eye type horror. Sad twist. A little sex in this. Fear Factor 2/10
Dear Granny: This was creepy AF!!! 😭😩 That hide n seek game was POINTLESS!!! Crazy twist that I didn't see coming. Fear Factor 8/10 (fav)
Viral Curse: Viral Curse.....meh...Mom being haunted. A few jump scares. It wasn't bad. Fear Factor 6/10
Overall it was a good and some of the episodes relied on jump scares the most, but I liked the first one better.

This review may contain spoilers
It's not the best and not the worst
Ep.2 and Ep.6 have a bit of s** partsEp5. the teacher cuts off a mans p**** and they show it, soo unnecessary when she was just going to kill him in the end
Ep.7 was stupid to me because they wasted unnecessary time instead of executing it better imo, it definitely ended so fast and felt like something was missing
I definitely wouldn't recommend watching ep.2, 5, 6 with family unless you don't mind seeing these things with them or you will forward those parts
It has some jumpscares too which is nice
