Five Stars

This is one of the best and most mature characters I've seen in a C-drama in a long time. Esther yu SHuxin completely owned the role and handled every aspect of it so well. The character feels layered, realistic, and emotionally engaging, and that's a huge reason why the story works. The writing is strong, the character development is meaningful, and the drama doesn't rely on the usual clichés to keep viewers interested.

Wang Fa ⚽️ vs Lin Wan Xing 🌟

**contains spoilers

The showdown begins. Wang Fa and Wan Xing made a bet to see who could stick to the other's lifestyle longer. Whoever gave up first would lose. Wan Xing even resorted to cheating. Just let my girl win for once, Wang Fa. She's trying her best 🫠

Meanwhile, Wang Fa is starting to waver. He's beginning to question whether his investigation is on the right track and whether the kind-hearted Wan Xing could really be the Spade Q.

interesting

By Episode 5, the chaotic dust settles just enough to reveal the deep emotional core of the series. The highlight of the episode is watching Wang Fa’s (Chen Jingke) icy exterior genuinely thaw as he begins to think positively about Lin Wanxing (Esther Yu). Moving past the petty retaliation of the previous episode, he starts to recognize the method to her madness, shifting their dynamic from a chaotic rivalry to a mutual, albeit reluctant, respect. This narrative shift is balanced perfectly by laugh-out-loud comedy, featuring a few moments that are simply too funny to ignore, proving the show’s comedic timing remains razor-sharp. Simultaneously, the storyline with the student football squad progresses beautifully, ensuring the young athletes are treated as fleshed-out characters rather than just background props for the adult romance."
