Aside from Benz's performance, almost all the actors who played in this series did a wonderful job! One31 really took care of their stars from each series. I knew Sailub and Pon from Pit Babe, and honestly, I never thought they would make such a great main couple in another series.

I’m honestly getting annoyed by the number of sex scenes portrayed in this series. I love both of them and enjoy seeing them together, but those bed scenes were too much.

This series could have ended easily if Chef Oab had done what the audience expected, but I guess the way P' Nui steered the story in a different direction was surprising. Especially after the scene in Episode 7. I never thought it would take another 50 minutes to finish, but they proved that this series is worth watching until the end.

The side couple always attracts my attention. In this show, Khun Methas and JJ's relationship had a significant influence on how the series progressed. I really hated Garfield in Pit Babe, but he proved to his fans that he deserved another chance. Meanwhile, Benz's character, Khun Methas, was the most developed in the series. Even though his acting was the weakest, I appreciate his effort to make the series more engaging.

This love definitely didn’t talk about long beans

I was super excited when this series was announced because I really loved Sailub and Pon in Pitbabe and I was robbed of Benz and Garfield. I felt this series had its ups and downs, but overall the series was really good and I don’t regret watching it however that last episode didn’t need to be and hour and thirty minutes long. Just a warning that spoilers are ahead.

The plot was something because I’ve never seen a drama focusing on a basil themed restaurant and a basil lowering YouTuber that now wants to be a chef in order to get money. Plawan was a YouTuber who’s channel focused on his lover for anything basil, but he went to Oab’s restaurant and he wouldn’t let him film so when Oab was looking to hire a new owner for his restaurant since he lost his passion Plawan tried out for it. Also at the same time Plawan went with his bff JJ to gain money for competing to win the restaurant with Metas because they won’t let him take it over since he won’t keep the restaurant, but would turn it into a mall. Then there was a whole entire survival show about who’s gonna take over Oab’s restaurant based on skills and at first you felt that’s Plawan would definitely not make it too the end because he really isn’t the best compared to others, but the final four were Plawan, Auto, Pansip, and Kluea. I felt bad for Auto since he wanted to win so his family can get money, but it was wrong stealing recipes. Then sadly my favorite got voted out which was Pansip, but luckily he was working at Nubnuengs restaurant because he actually ate there. At the same time Plawan was starting to date Oab and also dealing with the Metas problem until Kluea also had feelings for Plawan and Oab’s ex came back from studying aboard since her dad became sick and now she kinda wants to date Oab and wants everything to go back the way it was before. It was kinda getting messy and I felt the downfall of my interest came at this point of the show and too the end. But I will say that it went uphill with JJ and Metas!!!! I was so happy I didn’t get robbed of them again because they carried this show. So basically JJ is a psychical therapist who now has to take care of his enemy Metas because of Plawan making a deal with Metas and JJ doesn’t fully trust him. Then JJ got assigned to assist Metas with his bad knee and now has to make his knee get better and I have to say I was squealing so much because of how cute they were and especially that bathroom scene and those movie theatre scenes. I also have to say that JJ has full control of Metas because he will do anything he says if he gets to stay with him. Also that’s last scene where JJ has that giant diamond ring and his showing it off cause their engaged like I was screaming so much!! Also Oab where’s Plawans ring? Cause I don’t see it yet. Okay but overall even thought this show had its ups and downs it was overall a pretty good show and I do recommend it.

Tell them, tell 'em, tell them the truth

And we are here. That was a pretty good show. Good job. 9.125 out of 10, so round down to 9 out of 10. This was actually really good, like in hindsight, there are a few things wrong with it, but it is actually pretty good. And this is my breakdown of it lol.

I finished this show in 19 hours, go me. I would have finished it in 8 hours, but I was lazy and waited. We meet Wan everyone's favorite food blogger. I like most people watching this, am here from Pit Babe because it's the same people just focused on a different couple, which was nice. There was a lot of second embarrassment lol. I really liked the actor's dynamic and this really carried over in this, but they were flipped. Instead of the nonchalant and mean younger one, this time chef was the nonchalant mean one. Good to see and I think that did that really well. Chef X Blogger was the vibes and a lot of the soundtrack, besides the intro, was fucking bumping. It was so good. Interesting trope broke bitch x chef. They showed Los Angeles and I was in denial for the rest of the show, because it didn't look like it lol. The cooking competition was a really good idea and it was not at all how I thought the show was going. JJ, who played Kenta in Pit Babe looks so cute when he is normal and not a figurehead. JJ and Wan were a cute dynamic because it showed how JJ has soft spots for stupid bitches. His trying to beat up a billionaire is crazy. The fits in this were fire, shout out whoever was on outfits. JJ is Wan and everyone in this show's biggest hater. Wan was also so baddie core.

I made my predictions about Wan winning the competition and of course, I was right. I was calling Wan a biggie. I also said that Kluer was going to be evil, but I guess I was right. But not really. The only thing was that the selling restaurant thing just didn't add up and if I was with Wan and I had bills to pay so I don't go homeless I would also lie. Brokie things I guess. The whole basil-smelling thing was actually really funny. Auto's body was making me wanna act UP. Me when me when me me when. Me when sexy man body, me when. Chef right off the bat violating Wan, and I really like the pacing of this, because I think it was pretty good. One thing, I feel like they could have developed their relationship more, it felt very jumpy and I am just like a little more development I beg.

Not even going to lie I am obsessed with their dynamic of clumsy and aggressive but still care. Chef's rizz was so bad, I can't. I actually fucking hate restaurants like that, that have set menus and you can't order anything but that. I talked about JJ's job and his anger issues. They used the same clips a lot lol. Metas has no one to take care of him? Oh no, something to make JJ's heartless ass feel bad lol. JJ is such an empath I can't. Wan is obsessed with basil because of his mom, that's actually really sweet. And once again I feel like they could have developed their crushes a little more because it feels a little rushed.

Wan ate too much stir fry and his modeling career was ruined lol. Chef's memories of his ex changing into Wan were very cute. I felt like I was actually watching a cooking show lol. Metas and JJ have the same personality with the whole asshole empath, that is why they clash. The soundtrack was fucking bumping. JJ has no game at all lol.

Irl and in character, JJ and Metas have a lot of tension and I think that's why their couple was so good. I kept saying "The longer you wait wan the more it is gonna hurt." And then Wan tried to use JJ as leverage which he ended up doing lol. Great NC scene. This just explains itself lol. "44:40 Why is wan slim thick? He got no ass but looks like an hourglass. BIG BOOTY ALL IN MY FACE. I can't even focus on the plot anymore lol. He sees him as his father bro that's even sadder. I am gonna be so honest I don't even know what happened at the end because of that big booty. Why is wan slim thick bro? Ten out of ten because of his ass lol. Does that make me shallow or a horny teenage boy? Both." Um yeah, so that happened and that's why the review is higher than it should be lol.

Once again "The longer you wait the more it is gonna hurt." and the show was making "me so fucking hungry." It still is as I am editing this review lol. Money can buy you everything but love. That's something that opened my eyes a lot actually during this. Metas talks about how he only does financial investments and doesn't waste his money, but in the end moved heaven and hell for his man, who he didn't even know was going to be his man. Also, Chef when his actions actually have consequences and he can't just rebound back to him when he wants him again. He should have made it clear he didn't want Kao Suay from the start, but no. And Kluer with kissing a sleeping and drunk person.

So why are you trying to kiss him if he's drinking too much? Haven't we learned anything? Be fucking for real. I was asking how long they were going to be happy for. I was lowkey praying that their downfall happened sooner because I could not take this impending doom. Not even joking, didn't know that Metas was courting him. Good for JJ, doing anything for his friend. That's such a jit move. My sister thinks Metas is very hot. "He's got that freaky look." Uh, I was with Wan through and through because he had no actual mal intent, he just couldn't afford his rent, like how is it his fault that he is broke?

Pretty good ending to a good show. I will miss them lowkey. This show was ruining my mental health earlier at school today lol, it was not good. I did not think he was going to win the competition at all. Wan was so willing to drop everything and risk being homeless to prove his love. Quote of the day by me: "Kill yourself Wan and then make it so he will feel bad." And then I was blaming Metas for everything. "Metas literally caused every single problem in this show, with his wealth. Being alone isn't fun." "Metas redemption we love to see it. Good on him for apologizing. I am gonna be so honest I did not think he was going to come around and this is the ending I wanted, them getting freaky. HE PROPOSED NO FUCKING WAY. That waiting for him was such a slow blow I can't lol" That was a good ending and it was what I was expecting so I am happy. Uh, and that's it. I recommend it lol. Okay bye!

Underrated show!!!

Firstly, it didn't get my attention at first glance. I still gave it a chance and I'm glad I watched it until the end. It was a cute lovestory and I have to say that I mainly enjoyed the second couple more. I wished they had more screen time because they had so much potential. But the main couple also did a very good job.

This drama is definitely underrated and it's sad that not many people are watching it.

I recommend it to anyone who wants a cute love story with a little drama 💕

More fun than expected

I already guessed from the trailer that this would be a comedy of some sort, but I wasn't expecting to have this much fun.

The plot revolves around a cooking competition where the winner will become the new owner of Chef Oab's stir-fried basil restaurant. Plawan is a model with a passion for stir-fried basil who is having trouble making ends meet, so he makes a deal with the rich businessman Methas: if he wins the competition, he will give Methas the restaurant for a big sum of money, and Methas will be able to do whatever he pleases with the property. Chef Oab, however, hates Methas with a passion, and he is on high alert against anyone he suspects to be allied with him. Plawan needs to learn how to cook and win all the challenges prepared by Chef Oab, all without raising his suspicions.

I'm not a big fan of plots that revolve around scams, but this one made it work by making the entire situation very lively and entertaining from the get-go. Plawan is silly, but his energy really made me root for him despite everything; his attraction to Chef Oab and his scent also made me look forward for when Plawan would finally win him over.
The plot is fun, but it has the flaw of not being very believable. I don't have issues with plots that are unlikely to come true in real life, but I had to suspend my disbelief for more than one aspect of the story and ignore a couple of plot holes. The pacing, on the other hand, is very good! I always appreciate it when the directors are aware of how much space they have for the episodes and are able to use it well. I didn't feel like any part of the story was dragging for too long, nor did anything feel rushed.
It's a story that mainly relies on the character dynamics and the events around them rather than character introspection, so don't expect much to be discovered about anyone's likes and dislikes, but it does its job well. The growing attraction between Plawan and Oab is not only believable, but very visible, and I was happy to see that as a couple they are never shy with skinship, breaking the usual dynamics of BL couples in other series. The unexpected pairing of Methas and JJ also worked great, although it probably had less sparks flying than the main couple. Last but not least, the friendships! I really like how Plawan and JJ felt like real best friends - something that is often neglected in BLs.

I didn't watch with many expectations, so maybe that's why I enjoyed this series so much and felt like being this generous with my ranking. I still want to recommend it to whoever is looking for something fun, light, and moderately spicy to watch.

Came for basil, stayed for rich boys and therapy

The main couple/overall plot has the potential to be interesting. I personally found it too angsty, but if you're a fan of love triangles, friendly competition, and interesting restaurant dynamics, then it's one of the better restaurant competition-themed shows I've seen. They have good chemistry, but I ended up double-speed/fast-forwarding through most of the main plotline so I could watch the side couple's part. The side couple was definitely the redeeming quality of this show me- a classic rich boy and a hard-working, morally strong love interest. There story was easy to follow, and a breath of fresh air from all the drama and angst in the main plot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching for the side couple Metas and JJ!

Honorable mention of the music/audio design- it stood out to me! I enjoyed how they played with beat drops and overall music design.

stirred fried basil served with a side of deception n horny?!

somehow the plot works; a solid series imo. the relationships are (pun intended) 🤌🏼chefs kiss!🤌🏼youll want to skip dinner to watch this as it will fill you up delicious sexy scenes between chef oab n plawan n with scrumptious tension growing between methas and jj. but with only 8 eps, it left me hungry for more. 🤤

all jokes aside, i really loved this series. and after pit babe and this, ive become a big fan of the change actors.cant wait to see more from them, especially jj’s actor; i just adore him. 😚

Cliche with a side of Cute and Funny.

First impressions: First 2 Eps: Oab is an ass, Plawan is kind of dumb, in a cute way., If it wasn't for his friend JJ I don't think he would have made it to far in his life.

Even after the first few Eps, I still thought Oab was an ass, but he got better, though I still couldn't help but thinking of Gordon Ramsay in Hells Kitchen when ever Orb were yell at Plawan, or even the others. lol

I can't say everything was perfect, there were some places where it could have of had more to it, or could have added a bit more in the whole of the series so it wouldn't have been a bit longer then what it was, so it wouldn't has seem there at the end to be so rushed. I'm not saying a lot, but a bit more, it seem at t he end no time went by and there bang Oab is there..

I think they shouldn't of had Khaosuay in this for as long as they did. She just annoyed the hell out of me, thinking she was going to get Oab just because she came back, so shew tried to make it out like he wasn't going to sell all because of her.... The whole thing should have been over the 2nd eps she came back! I do have to say that I loved it when Plawan kind of told her off in a way, then Oab had to be a dick and agree with her... Ah!

Oh and when Kluea cooked "Stir fried with long beans" there at the end, Oab gave a stupid reason about his dish. You are not keeping the restaurant so why doesn't it matter? I just wanted to slap him then.

OH I loved the with Oab and Plawan, I even loved how Plawan didn't back down and was blunt with Oab lol It was just so funny how he was. I couldn't help but laugh at so many scenes in this series. I can't say I really felt it with JJ and Methas but I liked JJ told him off all the time. LOL

All in all a good series to watch, or even re-watch.

THE ENDING

i was so ready for a fast little joined wedding in the end and we didn't get one!! it even said in the series that gay marriage was legal and that gave me hopes that their would be a wedding in the end but NOPE! overall though the ending was cute and i genuinely enjoyed the show and would definitely re-watch!! i also think that we got a little robbed off of a cute duo (AutoPansip / LeeTiger) but hopefully in the nearer future they will have a series either as a lead or side but either way im happy and overall i loved this show and the chemistry felt better then what it was in pitbabe may i say..

Amazing Ships

I like the flow of the story , especially the characters of Benz as Methas and Garfield as JJ, they look so good together. I'm amazed when it comes to the acting skills of the casts, they really did a good job. But, for some reason I don't want to rewatch it again maybe because it's too sweet for me, especially the main couple. But overall I find it very interesting.
Favorite couple MethasJJ, so cute...!!!

Não esperava nada e recebi um quentinho no peito

Não vou mentir: fui assistir This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans sem esperar muita coisa.

Plawan me ganhou rapidinho.
