Couldn't review this series without starting at the ability the two main actors have at making a kissing scene a lesson in how to do it to make the audiences toes curl By far the most believable kiss scenes just enough and not vulgar I thought that given the premise of the show that for sure it would loose the plot at some point But I am happy to say they kept you guessing intrigued & waiting for the next episode with anticipation Again with the despicable parenting Wow talk about toxic Making your daughter play mute for most of her life & the grandfather killing his own grandson just awful but makes for a killer series Going to miss it!! One critique the mother at the end crying about her son's death is just not pleasant She is not a believable cryer and yelling your cry doesn't make it more emotional just annoyingWas this review helpful to you?
Still worth to watch
whenever i watch a season i kept reality of life in mind, at the end of 10th episode the mad person came and show a fire by some trick and kidnaped a heroine (don't remember Koreans name so difficult for me) and ya she was ready to get kidnap , wait for my final review on this season , till now its not more then 6 stars worth itok completed the season, but don't understand why he disappeared in last scene, his father was murderer not him , what a childish act just for sake of another episode lol , will increase the rate to 7.5 some how can say impressive work by all team

Very good overall
The show was very good overall. Especially the concept of the story, I found it very interesting. It made me want to keep watching. But at the same time it was kinda obvious to me what was going on. So, the element of surprise was not there. The acting and casting were good and fitting. Good acting chemistry between the "couple". The last episode was a bit underwhelming in comparison to the previous episodes. I get the hype that this drama garnered, it is worth giving it a go.Was this review helpful to you?

and when i say the best, the best.honestly speaking, it outdid qot (at least for me, but qot's good as well). everything about this drama is great, from the script, down to the cast, especially the storyline.
the story wasn't hard to understand, you can grasp the story so easily. and the best is, the story does not go in circles, qhen a question pops it'll be answered.
kudos to soobin and yeonsook (as well as the whole cast and team ^^)!!! they did such great job portraying their characters. their emotions can be felt by the audience as well, such great actors. ^^

last episode
I personally think the last ep is what decreased my rating, the drama and events felt unnecessary and it kind of deviated from the theme of the show but I still love the show so much and I cannot wait to rewatch it !! baek saeon and hong heejoo's relationship is GOALS, i need a man like baek saeon (MAY THIS LOVE FIND ME !).I really enjoyed all the side characters' roles and their way of portraying a character's actions I especially enjoyed yuri and sangwoos relationship and the comeback dojae had, and omg I wish they showed us the way the real saeon died.

I like this ending of drama because of it's good ending.
After the release of first two episodes, I decided to watch it because of the actors, story and high ratings until the drama end. I like the chemistry between the main couple and also I like the second couple. This is will be list to one of best K-drama in 2024. This is second K-drama where Chae Soo Bin plays as female lead that I watched since I watched her K-drama "I'm not a Robot" after a few years and I love the ost songs. Despite the controversy, I don't care about all those bots/haters account are against the K-drama with high ratings because of one of scene in last episode but I care about all what is going to be happens to the ending like the main couple (Hong Hee Joo and Baek Yoo Yeon) have a happily ever after and all villains including the kidnapper (the real Baek Sae Eon) are finally punished for what they did because that's important to me.message for someone who never watched this drama before :
Please... Ignore all bots/haters' negative comments and bad reviews, you can skip the news scene in last episode if you want. The important of the ending is what is going to happens if happy ending or not. I hope you enjoy watch this drama.

oooh yeah... yes!... common now that sounds PROMISING! :D
So I was just bored today, started this drama without any expectations and to my surprise I watched the first two episodes without even blinking!! No idea how the time went by but one thing was clear, it felt as if I myself am Hong Hui Ju hahaha.. It was so intense and yet romantic, I don't even know how to describe it. I'm a big fan of such thrilling unrequited love series!! Looks like the ML is in love with the FL way before she even knew him..I really loved how they could keep the romantic vibes on and still make it suspenseful! Has a lot of potential to be one of the best in 2024's!

When the Phone Rings: Brilliant for 10 Episodes, Then Falls Apart
I devoured the first 10 episodes. Very good episodes that are easy to watch. The two main actors perform excellently, and the story is engaging. However, it seems that with each episode, unnecessary details are added, making one wonder why... The characters are in constant danger, without respite; they practically have a subscription to the hospital...What happened to Ji Sang U and Na Yu Ri's show (by the way, in the end, these two characters served NO PURPOSE AT ALL)?
But what was the point of the entire last episode, seriously?? They just needed to have the villain die, END OF STORY.
Why make the male lead disappear? Sure, you feel sorry for the female lead, but you've known her since childhood, been married for 3 YEARS, and you know she knows the story, so WHY???? What he didn't want to experience—living in uncertainty, not knowing if his wife is alive—he ends up imposing on HIS OWN WIFE! The entire last episode is filled with confusion, shifting from dream to reality, past to present, without any transition, making it incomprehensible. It was just ridiculous; throughout the episode, I wondered where it was heading, and then the part in Africa, seriously??
Everything was going well; why half-ruin the drama at the end? Might as well have stopped at episode 11 or skipped directly to the end of the last episode...

TBH I wasn't sure how I would feel about Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin being paired together. They are both some of my favorite K-actors, but she looks like a child next to him in more than one scene of the show. Their chemistry, though, was off the charts. And those kisses🔥🔥🔥. NGL I almost died. But Chae Soo Bin always has 🔥🔥🔥🔥kisses. That being said even though Chae Soo Bin is one of my favorite actresses, it felt weird seeing her portraying such a meek character. She had inner strength, but there was so much of a damsel in distress vibe to Hui Ju. And the blank, doe-eyed expression, seemed so wrong but knowing the character it also made a lot of sense. Sure, the whole plot was a bit predictable and OTT - especially with the whole victim blaming and the villain holding innocent people responsible for their actions. Even the whole stand-in thing was so predictable.
Things that shocked me but also left me feeling so good - Hui Ju's relationship with Yu Ri and In A. With Yu Ri's fangirling I totally thought she would be someone who torments Hui Ju for having Sa eon's attention. And when In A came back, it had a similar menacing feeling to it - especially given that Hui Ju was forced to be mute to comfort In A. It was so nice to see how both of them had deep affection for Hui Ju, wanted to see her happy, and were willing to fight for her.
I was even shipping the Sang Woo and Sa Eon bromance even if it was laced with rivalry, they were united in their need to protect Hui Ju which shows how genuine and pure their affection for her was. There was no doubt in my mind that Sang Woo wasn't the bad guy although I have a feeling that was hinted at (heavily) in the show. He genuinely seemed to want the best for Hui Ju, I know its surprising given how many shows have this "if not me, then nobody can have you" motive for villains. But maybe it is a testament to Heo Nam Jun and his ability to show love and care... I haven't seen any of his other work so IDK.
I wish we knew what happened to the secret bad guy (although that too was quite predictable). He was fueled by revenge, but he genuinely seemed like he was repentant that he hurt innocent people. It would have been nice to know that he lived a good life in his brothers memory, rather in pain and full of hatred and anger.

Best drama I've seen in 5 years!
When I read the caption of this drama I thought the story sounded intrestning and I started to watch it casually. As I watched episode by episode the story evolved, there's so much more story than the caption says and I was blown away. Completely hooked and I had to pause whatever I was doing to watch the drama properly. This drama is a true gem, this is the first time I would say the story is 10/11! This is definitly the best drama I've seen in 5 years! I'm giving the drama overall a 9,5 because sometimes (maybe due to language barrier) it was hard to understand, because the story was a bit complicated. A very nice show
It was good, some accidents were taken too lightly, you could see someone fall over 300 meters and have no major injuries, someone survive a hole explotion and walking two days later with no scars. Some scenes were not realistic enough, and some reactions of the characters were not natural either, so I found myself thinking “what is this”.I loved the acting of both main characters. Always happy to watch Yoo Yeon Sook, he is one of my favorites.
It was an exciting show overall with minor weaknesses.
