Hooked from the First Episode
The thing I love most about this TV series is the way it tells its story. There are plenty of plot twists that keep us guessing about what will happen next. From the very first episode, the storyline is captivating, and you’ll likely find yourself hooked. The main leads are amazing. Their acting feels real, and their connection grows stronger as the story goes on. While their chemistry isn’t obvious at first, you’ll clearly see it develop in later episodes.
It’s no surprise that this drama secured 4th place on Netflix’s Top 10 Non-English TV Series list (Nov 18–24 week) after releasing just the first two episodes. It shows how much viewers are already loving this drama.

I am Enchanted!
Lovely K-drama and excellent, charming actors. I've watched several Chae Soo-bin dramas and I loved especially I'm Not a Robot. When it comes to Yoo Yeon-seok, I haven't had the privilege of watch him act, but certainly I will do so in the future. He does a brilliant job. If you have the chance to listen OST "See The Light by Lim Hyunsik (BTOB), please do so! Absolutely gorgeous voice and lovely song. Was this review helpful to you?

Mostly great. Only one episode ruined my rating.
Just when things were going so well they just had to massively stick the landing! The writers seemed to completely forget how they’re own characters had developed. I think if you end the series with just watching till after they get in the car at the end of episode 11 and then fast forward to the dinner scene in episode 12 this would be a better show. Except then you would still have to watch her decide to wear a completely white outfit for a casual walk in the very muddy woods, but honestly that’s the least idiotic of the dumb decisions in this episode 😂Was this review helpful to you?

What a disappointment
I could only make it through 3 episodes and that was a struggle. The ML is emotionally abusive and physically intimidating to the FL from the time he marries her through the 3 years they've been married thus far. She is mute (for reasons not explained, so very weird), but he's never bothered to learn sign language and forces her to use her phone to type everything to him. He regularly intimidates her physically, and represses her movements and what little social life she has. It's super disturbing. We're probably supposed to blame his family, who are also awful people. From what I'm reading, this is another typical storyline of an abusive arranged-marriage husband eventually becoming a decent, caring person through interactions with the FL. And we're supposed to forgive him for scaring and hurting her for months or years, because he's good-looking and kind later on. It's a disturbing storyline, and one that shouldn't have been written once, much less for multiple dramas.
Oh, also the mothers are crazy, abusive and power-hungry as well. I was never sure who the dads were, but assume they're the same. And the FL has virtually no personality, and doesn't seem too bright, so there's not much to root for here.
I'm going to go look for a better drama.

Good watch
Okay so if one considers the drama from the beginning like the first few eps, no like till the last few eps the drama was going smoothly and was good. The last episode particularly ruined things for me. The storyline kinda changed and it was quite unnecessary according to me.*Spoiler beings*
Sa eon leaving then the FL going to look for him it was just so unnecessary. A lot could have been implemented instead of that plot. Apart from that it was a not so common storyline.

Awesome drama until the ending where it was stupid and unnecessary.
When the Phone Rings is a melodrama about the relationship between the president's spokesman and his muted wife starting Yoo Yeon Seok andChae Soo Bin.
The first time I watched Yoo Yeon Seok, I was impressed. He is a good actor, much better than Chae Soo Bin. The story and pace of the drama are good until the last episode when the ending is so stupid. Why did they add the war zone scene in the previous episode? It was foolish and unnecessary, ruining the drama for me. I would have given it an 8.0 rating, but I am downgrading it to 7.5 because of the last episode.
Synopsis: Baek Sa Eon, the youngest presidential spokesman in Korea, comes from a prestigious political family. His background includes roles as a war correspondent, hostage negotiator, and news anchor. Three years ago, he married Hong Hui Ju, a mute sign language interpreter and the adopted second daughter of a newspaper proprietor. Their marriage, based on convenience, has been distant and cold. However, their lives and relationship are changed when Hui Ju is kidnapped.
My Reviews:
1. Acting: 8
2. Script: 7.5
3. Music/OST: 7
4. Production Quality: 8
5. Cinematography: 7
6. Onscreen Chemistry: 8
7. Rewatchable: 7.5
Overall Rating: 7.5

They "My Demon-ed" it...
Overall 7/10🌟🌟🌟⭐
This was an incredible drama up until the last two episodes for me personally. The ending felt very rushed. The Argan scene felt quite out of place despite the writers using that to stay true to the novel. In my personal opinion I would have omitted it from the drama. The Argan plotline should have been more developed for it to feel like it was necessary and for that the drama would need more than 12 episodes, however that may have been too much. I definitely do not regret watching When The Phone Rings because it had me HOOKED for weeks! Just disappointed with the ending, however I loved the side characters stories being wrapped up nicely. Overall it is worth the watch!

The Ultimate Cold Lover Fantasy
If you’re all about that icy, cold-hearted bad boy who’s got the sharpest looks and a vibe that screams “I’m too good for you but I’ll take you anyway,” then Goo Dong-mae is your everything. This man is like a whole damn mood. He’s not just a hero; he’s the hero of your good girl fantasy, but with a plot twist that’ll leave you shook.Let’s talk about his relationship with the main actress. She’s playing his wife of 3 years, but trust me, the drama here isn’t all romantic candle-lit dinners. This girl’s got more secrets than an encrypted phone with a voice modulator. She’s not just the obedient wife on the surface – no, she’s secretly playing him like a fiddle.
Now, spoiler alert – things get next level. The wife (aka the ultimate tease) blackmails Dong-mae with a pic of a mole on her thigh, and suddenly, it’s full-blown possession mode. Our dude is shook. He’s never even touched her like that, and now he’s spiraling. Like, he can’t stop obsessing over this mole, and the tension that builds while he tries to figure it out? Butterflies. You can’t make this stuff up, y’all.
If you’re looking for a drama that mixes cold dominance with sizzling mystery and a dash of betrayal, WHEN THE PHONE RINGS is your jam. Goo Dong-mae is serving cold-hearted lover vibes like no other, and I’m 10000% here for it. Go watch this, Divas. Trust me, it’s a real treat.
