“Oops, All Kisses and Chaos”
Ok, so this one definitely falls into the elite category of "oops, I accidentally clicked on the play button and now it’s 3AM and I’ve finished all 31 episodes while clutching a bag of chips and my last shred of dignity."Is it a hot mess? Oh, absolutely. Logic? Plot coherence? Character development? Yeah, they all packed their bags and left the galaxy in this. And I respect that. This show looked at the script and said, “Plot? I don’t know her. But steamy stares and questionable decisions? Now we’re talkin’.”
I came here for Ryan Ren, and let me tell you, the man understood the assignment. He is out here gobbling up his FL like she’s the last slice of cake on Earth. It’s basically 31 episodes of him looking at her like she’s both his lifeline and a particularly juicy dumpling. Make-out sessions? Check. Wall slams? Check. Random jealousy? DOUBLE CHECK. Plot twists that make no sense but you cheer anyway? Absolutely.
If you’re emotionally burnt out from all the tear-jerking, trauma-deep, character-study-type dramas and just want to watch the two leads play cat and mouse (and then just full-on lions), this one is your emotional junk food. A complete nutritional disaster—but oh, so satisfying.
Would I recommend it? Only if you’re okay with screaming “WHAT IS HAPPENING” every 10 minutes… in between rewinding your favorite spicy scene for the third time. No regrets. 12/10 would lose brain cells for this again.

Liked It For Vibes, Chemistry, And Chaos
Let’s just start with this: what a wild ride from start to finish. The drama kicks off with FL attending her fiancé’s funeral, it’s raining, she's in black, holding a red umbrella, and then—boom! She kisses a man who looks just like her dead fiancé… on the coffin. I was instantly hooked. That opening? Insane and I loved every second of it.So the man? Not her fiancé but her uncle. (Technically. Because which Chinese drama doesn’t have the ML be a long-distance uncle somehow?) Their chemistry from the jump was fire—the tension, the kisses, the banter, the hugs, the looks… they were so in love even when they weren’t supposed to be in love. I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing this pairing again—they were that good. And the fact that this is a mini drama with a kiss quota? No complaints here!
FL (Mi Chuxia / Huo Ruoyi) was adorable, quirky in the best way, and so full of life—even in her grief. Her moments of talking to herself? Iconic. And I loved her pouty face.
ML (Lu Nian Bai / Tang Jing Xing) was the perfect combo of playful and broody. The teasing? The “uncle” card? Sir. Please.
Let’s talk cinematography—this mini drama did not slack. The colors, the funeral scene, the dance, the proposal, the flashbacks—everything had that dramatic mini-series gloss, but they used it well.
SFL (Lu Nian Qi) was stunning. You knew from the start she’d be the villain but she was so elegant and compelling, I couldn’t even bring myself to hate her. And when she finally admitted the truth and backed down? Growth. Pretty lady + character development = win.
SML? NO. Certified creep. Obsessive, manipulative, wiretap-the-room-level unhinged. The kind of character that makes you side-eye the actor just a little (no hate though, He did a great job). And the attempted assault? Absolutely not. Not romantic. Not okay. I’m so over dramas pretending non-consensual stuff is passion. Hard pass.
Still, despite that moment (and a few too many “are we really doing this?” kisses), the show delivered on romance. Especially once the twist was confirmed:
ML is actually the fiancé. No amnesia. Just hiding his identity for "revenge" . He wakes up from a coma, learns FL has found her real family, and instead of going back to her right away, he becomes “someone else” and falls for her again. It's giving soap opera, but I ate it up.
The back hug goodbye, the earphone scene, the jealousy lemonade, and the dance at the masked party were highlights.
And the proposal at the end? Good cheese. The kind that melts your heart. (Bonus points for the ring design.)
OST? Hits. Fits every emotional beat.
There were plot holes, yes. But you know what? I was too entertained to care.
Also—plot twist—I’d seen Season 1 before and didn’t even realize it until halfway through! Different actors, same characters. And honestly? This version just hit more for me. The glow-up is real.
Final thoughts:
Entertaining, emotional, and sometimes unhinged. It had everything a good mini drama needs—strong chemistry, drama, a wild plot, and some swoon-worthy moments.
Would recommend. Just… be ready for chaos.

So Dumb. So Hot. So Watched.
My Brain Checked Out and So Did My Dignity — 10/10 Would Lose IQ AgainListen. I came in expecting drama, maybe some plot, a sprinkle of logic… and instead, my brain cells packed their bags and left the building. What I got was pure chaos, steamier than a humid summer in Bangkok, and logic? Never heard of her.
This show said, “Plot? Nah. Let’s make out on a COFFIN in the FIRST episode,” and I—like the fool I am—kept watching. Honestly, I couldn’t stop. It was like watching a soap opera written by your most unhinged friend after two bottles of wine. Zero sense, 100% spicy.
Every episode brought new ways to fry my brain: unexplainable decisions, suspiciously shirtless lead, and an ungodly amount of “accidental” sexy encounters. Was I confused? Constantly. Was I entertained? Tragically, yes.
And let’s be real: I don’t even like mini series. But here I am. Finished it. No regrets. Just vibes. And maybe one or two scorched neurons.
Highly recommend if you want to temporarily disable your higher thinking and bask in glorious hot nonsense.

Watch just for some hot scenes bc there nothing more :(
Mini-series with great CL, but a chaotic/illogical/cliché-filled plot+++ (I came to this series for Ryan Ren ♡ඩ⌔ඩ♡), Good CL with great chemistry (lots of kisses & hot scenes)
+++ Excellent OST
### Incoherent, unsubtle storyline, full of clichés (childhood friends obsessed with ML or FL), attempted murders, economic piracy, etc.
### A visibly low-budget series, but it mostly suffers from mind-blowing writing!
=> I'd like to see Ryan Ren in better-quality productions!

Mini série avec great CL mais plot chaotique / illogique / bourré de clichés
+++ Bon CL (je suis venue à cette série pr Ryan Ren ♡ඩ⌔ඩ♡), avec belle alchimie (bcp de kisses & de hot scenes)
+++ Excellentes OST

I'm confused!!
OK, great looking actors-actresses, greater kisses when both parties consent, greatest "Imma the the sigma-alpha hero" scenes. OK, I get it. But, excuse me for being so serious about a Chinese drama - WHEN WILL CHINESE DRAMA STORIES STOP ROMANTICIZING FORCED KISSES?? Bro, I understand that you understand that she doesn't understand her desires. BUT, NO is a NO, YOU GET IT?! CONSENT is a thing, YOU GET IT?! Dear Chinese drama plotmakers, please stop romanticizing forced kisses, or TRY PUTTING MORE SLAPS BY FEMALE LEADS if you can't help but put forced kisses scenes. Again, forgive me for my rant; I couldn't help this time either. Was this review helpful to you?

Only romance
In this drama, I mainly saw the romance. As for the story, in order to find out the truth, the male lead pretends to be dead and takes on a new identity. In the end, everything is resolved and the drama has a happy ending. "However, all the actors in the drama gave amazing performances."
I recommend it to those who enjoy romance.

Kisses Galore!
I was blown away by the amount of skinship and makeout sessions that happened within the first few episodes, and honestly, that's what got me hooked. But its the acting of the actress playing Chu Xia that kept me going. At first the FL appeared too be your typical Mary Sue princess, which she is, but her character was actually well fleshed out with her own crazy antics and hilarious expressions. Of course the storyline isn't anything to write home about, but at least there is consistency in the plot development and isn't too complex to follow. The romance is truly the forefront of this drama. The ML did an adequate job emoting but really it's his kissing skills that is really the star of the show.Need something light, funny and romantic, this is the drama for you. Very light on the suspense and mystery. Easy watch when you just wanna giggle and squeal with delight alone.

You'll Laugh, Cringe, and Fan Yourself
This was the equivalent of Cheetos, dipped in chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream, and garnished with pickles. It didn't make sense, and it wasn't good for me, but I enjoyed it anyway.Passionate groping and steamy kisses were interspersed with nonsense. I obviously watched it in the right frame of mind; generally, I would have looked askance at a drama that was so silly (when it wasn't trying to be campy), but it made me laugh (rather unintentionally, I'm sure).
I snickered when the ML tore off his shirt, and his torso glistened with oil. Well, with a torso like that, a guy should oil up on the off chance he's going to rip off his clothing. My eyebrows rose when the bride-to-be made out with a stranger at her fiancé's funeral--on top of his coffin, no less. The FL had to have hemorrhoid surgery, something I've not encountered in a romance before. The FL was forced to marry the psycho because he put a bomb in her bridal bouquet. ML was viciously knifed and in a coma for days. When the FL walked into his room, he was standing and fully dressed right after awakening. Those are some killer genes that provide instant healing! And kudos to the ML. That actor approached every kiss like an Olympic event in which he was going to set a record. The man was enthusiastic!
I laughed, I cringed, and I fanned myself. It wasn't a cinematic masterpiece, but I had fun.

Nothing more than a content of unnecessary kisses
A content just for someone who is looking for hot and kisses scenes. Besides, there's nothing worth to watch. But‐ the kisses also too much😭 i feel bored and nothing exciting again from the kisses. The plot is cliche, every chinese sinetron HAS this cliche plot. Im tired🫠 but shes pretty, i like herWas this review helpful to you?

Was this review helpful to you?
