A generic BL with a weak story and no highlights.
To say this is a short series is an exaggeration because every episode is around 50 minutes and drags on like a chewing gum. There is not much of a story and the acting is medicore, so it feels more like an ad with some BL mixed into it. While they did try to make it a cute story, I did not feel any spark. The characters are trivial, they are very 2D and it feels just boring. So maybe this was an outing for new actors but with a weak script there is nothing they could do. There is no drama, there are only some clichés. When I see some people rating this show as high as "The Proper Way to Write Love" I don't get it. It's a far cry from the other series and offers nothing of value. So, watching this, is a waste of time.

start it halfway thru (watch suggestions)
Overall: the first half of the series was a mess (not just the subtitles). I enjoyed the last couple episodes quite a bit more than the beginning ones. Based on the book “What’s the Nong?” by I’m Mynt. I haven't read the book and reviewed the series based on its own merits. 6 episodes about 45 min each (uncut, episode 1 cut was 36 minutes but I'm not sure what the missing 9 minutes was). Aired on iQIYI uncut https://www.iq.com/album/dogbro-2025-rpuy7moou5?lang=en_us and episode 1 on YouTube (worldwide) cut https://youtu.be/0TOqjvji-aQ?si=37NWzGrBuFDkjy25 and later released starting at episode 2 on Mentkorn YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wgVfR_PAAsContent Warnings: manhandling, fight, trauma
Watch Suggestions (for uncut iQIYI version)
- episode 3 watch 29:10-end
- episode 4 watch 15:30-19:15, 33:50-37 and 41:30-end
- episode 5 watch beginning to 16:45, 24-28 and 31-end
- watch episode 6
What I Liked
- cute dog
- once the characters got together they showed mutual want and ongoing intimacy
- showing a condom box/condom wrapper on the floor was nice to see
Room For Improvement
- exposition dump to start
- comedy sound effects didn't make things funny
- characters were hot and cold
- love triangle
- cliche ex girlfriend and that thread of flea powder down her throat was not funny
- (neutral) the YouTube subs and iQIYI were difficult to understand
- (neutral) the dog having a voice

This is confusing....
I'm not so used to watching a smaller bl series that mainly focusses on a sweet relationship. One with barely any drama. Now, I don't hate this series, but I am disappointed. I was expecting something more. The plot was overall confusing... I'm not sure what to make of it. Even after finishing the series it was still unclear. How did the main couple meet? Why did he live alone? It felt like this show doesn't care about the plot, but about the cuteness of their relationship.I'm kinda disappointed but this wasn't SUPER bad.

I usually steer clear of writing negative reviews because I know how much heart and hard work go into making a series. This one had real potential, but sadly, it didn’t quite deliver.
After two episodes, I had to put it on hold because the subtitles were a total mess. But since I never leave a show unfinished, I eventually came back to wrap it up. Honestly, if the series had kept its six episodes but trimmed them down to 20–25 minutes each, it might’ve worked better. It had all the ingredients to be super cute.
1. Production
The script was weak and dragged through each 45-minute episode. On top of that, editing and sound issues really hurt the overall experience.
2. Acting
It’s tough to judge the performances fairly because the writing didn’t give the actors much to work with. There were flashes of personality here and there, but the script didn’t allow for any real depth. It seems like this was the debut for several of the cast members, and they honestly deserved better material. Still, they gave it their best, and the acting had its ups and downs.
Meen & Tul: A sweet couple who got more interesting once they started dating. Looks like this was the first series for Sky and Kong. The chemistry is definitely there. They had moments where they were just going through the motions, and others where they truly brought their characters to life. They’re raw talent, rough around the edges, but promising. I’ll definitely check out more of their work, hopefully with a stronger script.
Pokpong & Sun: This couple won me over from the start. I wish they’d had more screen time. Park and Tiger felt more natural together, and their chemistry came through effortlessly. They genuinely seemed comfortable in their roles.

If you love dogs....there is overwhelming cuteness
Sky (Meen) and Kong (Tul) were adorable together. This was Sky's first BL role and we will see him again in My Dear Daddy soon. This was also Kong's first BL. I wish people would take that into consideration when they review the roles and series. Were the intimate scenes smooth and flawless? Of course not, they are new to the BL Industry. The story was a little confusing at first and the dog sounds and references were a little too much in the beginning but you can see the importance of it. I love a new love storyline from new actors. You can see them try to navigate their way through the different scenes. I would recommend this series if you have patience to see it unravel

This was so bad!
This drama was really bad, i don't recommend watching it. The story is boring and overall it was a big mess. The visuals were good, but one moment it was sunny outside, and then the whole colour of the scene canged and it looked like it was cloudy.
The sound was bad, one moment the sound was normal and all of a sudden it was loud. The editting and the subs were bad.
The music was not good either, the singer of the OST could not sing very well.
Park was the only actor who did a decent job, but the rest of the actors just can't act..
There was no chemistry between the couples, they just felt so akward....
The main couple had a scene with icecubes, sorry but i have never seen a scene that was supposed to be sexy be so ridicilous and akward.
Sun looked like he was about to cry all the time.
Kiss scenes were also very bad and akward.
In ep. 4 Sun gets kissed by Pokpong, Sun clearly kisses back, and sudddenly gets extremely mad at Pokpong...so weird.

Weak Story and No Chemistry – Gave Up After Two Episodes
Dog Bro was disappointing with weak story and no real chemistry between the leads. The characters felt unconvincing, and the pacing was slow. The production quality didn’t help either. Honestly, I gave up after just two episodes, which I rarely do. Overall, it was hard to stay interested, and I wouldn’t recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
Honestly, I don't know why ''rape'' should be made into a series???
Neither messages, nor lessons, nor is it funny, nor is it fun, absolutely nothing
Conversations are nonsensical or unrelated, it is possible that the translation was done by whoever translated into English, but most of the conversations do not make sense.
The tone is terrible, as if we are recording it with a mobile phone, and I think even then the sound would be better!
What nebulous conversations, so many disconnected sentences, one cannot draw any lesson from this, except that Thai series are horror!
Planning a Season 2?!?!?!
Oh my god
