My Stand-In: Uncut

Both have main leads who are dominant, both have some violent themes/complex characters. Both have main leads who are addicted to the second lead despite the danger/trust issues or morals surrounding the relationship.

The dynamics of main leads r very similar and the character portrayal and psychology match heavily , ray drove me crazy when he tried to own sand but loved mew just like ming loves tong but considers joe as a replace.
Also the chemistry is just solid GOOD ( in Only friends ), they truelly deliver LUST during their fun time

Ps. Only friends is the harem of kissing everybody so avoide shipping any couple with too much craze.

Both are Thai BLs. Both have supernatural elements. Both have kinda toxic male leads. The plots in both are more interesting than the typical Thai BL. The spice level in both is similar.

Both are -
1. Queer love stories
2. Have good amount of action
3. One or both protagonists are involved with acting & stunt double work

Both series have a story about people who are madly in love, despite knowing better. Both series are made by the same team (director, screenwriter, cinematographer). The cinematography gives a similar vibe and the storytelling is good enough to make you sympathise with the supposed bad guy.

Both are Thai BLs. Both have supernatural elements. The plots in both are more interesting than the typical Thai BL. Both dramas are quite spicy. 4 minutes has more nudity.

Let have my time to explain why I choose Secret Garden flr the recommendation… For sure most of you might thought of ‘The Shipper’, ‘KinnPorsche’, ‘Only Friends’, and some other series with similar vibes but let’s try to widen the perspective…
All of the ‘Stuntman concept’ and soul ‘traveling’… begins with Secret Garden (at least for me yes…)… We have both the main lead as a stuntman and the partner as this ‘freakin’ rich dude… one exchange soul and here we have Joe’s soul to enter another ‘Joe’… Both are probably pretty much the same till here… we know that the who’s fallin first and who loves even deeper…

If you need a straight drama with similar theme I might recommend this one^^

Please watch the full 10 episode director's cut for Love Mechanics. Even the og novels are just as messed up the Love Mechanics novel is actually Non Con and not the way it's done here but the director truly kept the hate from Mark's character the same especially that first episode of LM is so messed up but damn good which I love. And their relationship in love mechanics gets just as toxic and then with the good old enemies to lovers trope with cliffies in every episode that will have you watching the next one! There's plenty of toxic behavior towards each other from both sides. Though in both shows gets a little less toxic and then there's some other conflicts instead.

Again this review is for uncut version and the Jack and Joke Special which PLEASE WATCH THE POST CREDIT SCENE OF THE SPECIAL and thank me later! If you're already on a page for a dark series with a toxic relationship then look no further. Because Jack and Joker has it all ! Slow burn enemies to lovers with SCORCHING CHEMISTRY and so much crack jokes you'll be laughing your ass off and then BAWLING because your heart just broke into a million pieces (exactly like Stand in I might add) and Jack though less entitled than Ming, when he gets toxic HE GETS REALLY TOXIC JUST THE WORST both shows are just damn chef's kiss for folks who love stuff like Kinn Porsche. Just a bunch of hot red flags to watch and watch repeatedly until the end of time, because what else are you doing with your life anyway?

- MC gets into an accident and gets transmigrated into the body of another person
- MC was betrayed by 'their lover' before accident but is forced to meet them again after transmigration
- Difference is that in My Stand-In is not a revenge story but Game Rak Patihan (Past Life, Present Love) is about the MC seeking revenge
- My Stand-In is a BL/Gay Drama where Past Life, Present Love isn’t.

Its almost similar here mr elyise is same as ming and pat is same as joe hence i recommend to watch my stand in you eill definitely like it
