Love's Ambition

Love's Ambition mal síce veľké ambície, ale bohužiaľ ostali zaseknuté niekde na pol ceste ako sa snažili stať sa realitou. Mám dosť zmiešané pocity. Na jednej strane to nebola vyslovene zlá dráma. Hlavne prvá polovica bola celkom dobre spracovaná a dej rýchlo ubiehal. No v druhej polovici to začalo značne škrípať. Mne ani tak nevadila tá zbierka klišé prvkov, ktoré nám scenáristi v druhej polovici naservírovali, skôr mi prekážalo tempo a nezmyselné chovanie postáv.

Ale pekne poporiadku, začneme hlavnými hrdinami drámy Shen Hao Ming, ktorého stvárnil William Chan a Xu Yan v podaní Zhao Lu Si. Títo dvaja pre mňa predstavovali dosť veľký problém. Priznám sa, že William Chan mi nie je vôbec sympatický a nebolo mi zrovna príjemné sa naňho pozerať, ale už keď sa aj odosobním od tohto aspektu, tak celkovo jeho postava bola zle napísaná. A to isté si dovolím tvrdiť aj o postave Xu Yan, hoci Zhao Lu Si mám ako herečku veľmi rada. Obidve postavy mi prišli strašne nevýrazné, vláčne, bez života alebo už neviem ako by som to napísala. Proste ,,nemastné-neslané,, ako sa u nás vraví. Neviem, či sa u nich dá hovoriť o nejakej výraznejšej chémii, pretože som celý čas mala pocit, ako by som sa pozerala na dvoch ľudí, medzi ktorými je neviditeľná stena. Proste aj keď boli spolu, nemala som pocit, že sa pozerám na manželov, ale skôr na dvoch cudzích ľudí, ktorí nemajú moc spoločného. Cítila som akýsi druh odstupu, ktorý si udržovali. Aj pri tých pár bozkávacích scénach to bolo veľmi citeľné. Takže po romantickej stránke ma dráma moc neoslovila. Zdalo sa mi, že  Zhao Lu Si sa nie celkom stotožnila so svojou postavou. Ako herečka je skvelá, ale rozhodne sa hodí na iný typ úloh. Počas celej drámy na mňa pôsobila veľmi odťažito, chladne až nadradene. Pôvodný zámer bol asi ponúknuť sebavedomú, inteligentnú a rozvážnu hlavnú hrdinku, ale nevyšlo to celkom podľa plánu, pretože v konečnom dôsledku pôsobila ako žena bez emócií, ktorá má na tvári stále ten istý odmeraný výraz. A aj keď sa náhodou usmiala, tak to pôsobilo sileným dojmom. William sa mi na rolu developera taktiež moc nehodil. Tá jeho až (s prepáčením za výraz, ale takto cítim) úlisne milá tvárička proste nekorešponduje s postavou bohatého podnikateľa. Toľko môj pohľad na hlavné úlohy.

No ale aby som nebola zlá, tak priznávam, že mali jednu spoločnú scénu, ktorú som si pozrela niekoľko krát, pretože to bola tá najlepšia časť celej drámy. Scéna v epizóde 26, keď sa títo dvaja na mol opitý manželia stretnú v noci v  Hao Mingovom byte, následné spoločné ranné prebudenie a zistenie, čo sa predchádzajúcu noc dialo. To bola pre mňa top scéna celej drámy. Byť takých viac, možno by sa moje hodnotenie vyšplhalo vyššie.

Teraz k vedľajším postavám.
Neviem, či ma niekto vyslovene že očaril. Párik Yu Yi Ming a Qiao Lin je veľmi nevýrazný a navyše je im venované žalostne málo času na obrazovke. Otravný Lin Tao je naozaj otravný, takže ten svoju úlohu stvárnil na jednotku. Rodičia Xu Yan sa objavia v pár prvých epizódach, potom sa s dcérou rozídu s tým, že už viac nie je ich dcéra, potom dlho dlho nič a zrazu bum... Sú opäť späť ako milujúci rodičia. WTF? Ak tu však bol ,,pár,, ktorý by som chcela vidieť a dalo by sa povedať aj o nejakej tej chémii medzi nimi, tak to boli určite Fang Lei a Han Wei Ping. Tam trošku ľutujem, že z nich scenáristi neurobili ozajstný pár a ostalo to len pri jednej noci... Ich koniec bol tiež nejasný, asi aby sme trošku oživili našu fantáziu. Šiel s ňou do Londýna, či nešiel? To je otázka... Wei Ping mi bol od začiatku veľmi sympatický a Fang Lei, aj keď to bola strašná mrcha, si tiež ku koncu nejakým spôsobom získala moju náklonnosť.

Čo sa týka príbehu ten tu našťastie bol, aj keď mal nejaké tie medzery a rezervy. No jeho ukončenie, keď sme sa dozvedeli kto bol celý čas ten hlavný záporák, čo robil všetky zákulisné machinácie, bolo naozaj veľmi uponáhľané a neuspokojivé. Hup jeden moment preberie celú firmu, hup druhý moment už je vo väzení. Medzi tým nič, čo by nás aspoň trošku vtiahlo do tohto diania.  Ale hlavná vec, že predošlé diely sa vlečú v podaní nezáživných, poučných a vysoko filozofických rozhovorov, ktoré som z veľkej časti pretáčala. Keby sa z drámy vystrihli zbytočné rozťahané scény a rozhovory, tak myslím, že by sme kľudne skončili na 25 epizódach a tempu by to značne prospelo.

Toľko k jadru veci a ešte spomeniem kostýmy a vizáž, ktoré boli pastvou pre oči. Hlavne kostýmy Xu Yan boli úplne dokonalé a trefné v každom ohľade. Čo sa týka vlasov, tie mala taktiež vždy krásne a vkusne upravené. S týmto sa tvorcovia naozaj pohrali a ja osobne to veľmi oceňujem. Nemám rada, keď je v drámach zanedbaná táto estetická stránka. OST priemerné ale neprekážalo mi, takže presne zapadá do môjho celkového hodnotenia.

Konečné zhrnutie je nasledovné.
Love´s Ambition je ten typ drámy, ktorá neurazí ale ani žiadnym zvláštnym spôsobom nepoteší. Príbeh je síce dobrý, ale je tam veľa zbytočných, nezáživných pasáží na úkor zaujímavejších dejových oblúkov. Záporáci sa väčšinou len tak mihnú, potom opäť zmiznú, potom sa znova objavia a o chvíľu zase niet. Nemajú v príbehu žiadne zvláštne miesto a scenár im dáva veľmi málo priestoru, takže sa pre diváka nestávajú dôležitými. Postavy niekedy konajú úplne nelogicky a skratovo, ale na to sme si už pri c-dramach asi všetci zvykli, takže to už píšem len tak na margo veci. Tempo je v prvej polovici ok, no v druhej to už ide všetko dole vodou a ten prúd so sebou strháva aj celku príjemné pocity z prvých epizód. Hlavný hrdinovia medzi sebou nemajú moc chémie a herci sa mi do týchto úloh moc nehodili, no napriek tomu sa to určite dá pozrieť a neberiem sledovanie Love´s Ambition ako zbytočnú stratu času. No popravde už sa k tejto dráme určite nevrátim, jedenkrát úplne stačilo :) Vyjadrené v percentách 55%.

Drama con un final flojo

Para empezar diré que es un gran drama que engancha muy bien desde el principio porque a quien no le gusta una buena mentira..... A quien no le gusta saber si el castillo de naipes que te has construido resistirá un suspiro. Pero en los últimos capítulos hay una pérdida de química de paso a ser comedia romántica y dejo el drama... Señores esto era un drama para llorar, para sufrir y terminó siendo un drama muy ñoño. No le quitó un mérito tanto al vestuario que me parece maravilloso como a los actores y mira que Zhao Lusi es muy mona y todo lo que tú quieras y sabe gesticular maravillosamente para hacerse la ñoña, no es que sea una mala actriz ni mucho menos considero que hacer comedia no es fácil, es que no era de mis actrices favoritas pero con esta serie creo que he visto una actriz madura muy capacitada para triunfar tanto en el cine como en el extranjero y es una pena lo que está pasando con ella. En fin un gran drama si no tienes en cuenta los tres últimos episodios.

Drama Urban Terbaik

Gak ada promosi besar-besaran, gak ada fry cp, tayang serba dadakan macam tahu bulat, tayang di hari sibuk kerja.. Tapi tetap viral, menyala! Direktur, alur cerita, para aktor, stylish (baik baju, rambu, make up, dan lainnya) bagus bangetttt! Memanjakan mata banget dah! Tiap scene pasti outfit baru.

Akting Lusi di sini keren banget! Banyak berubah dan berkembang, para pemain lainnya totalitas juga. Aku suka alur ceritanya (meskipun tegang lol), tapi seolah realistis gitu loh, gak mudah ditebak juga setiap episodenya itu. Terus FL-nya juga bukan yang menye-menye bergantung ke laki-laki, tipe tipe FL yang udah terus bertumbuh dan berusaha mencintai diri sendiri.

Dahlah aku tidak bisa berkata-kata, jangan dengarkan perkataan haters, rasakan saja sendiri dan nilai dari sudut pandang mu sendiri, okay!

From stress to laughter

This was my first time watching this kind of C-drama, and honestly, it felt so different from the usual ones. The way it started was so unique — it actually reminded me a lot of Turkish dramas, which I’ve never seen a Chinese drama pull off before.

The show started off so strong. Even though I was stressed through the first 15 episodes because Xu Yan was lying the whole time, I couldn’t stop watching. It kept me right on the edge of my seat. I was anxious, but also completely hooked. From the start, I had a feeling that Hao Ming already knew the truth, but I didn’t realize how controlling he would become later on.

To be honest, I think both Xu Yan and Hao Ming were in the wrong. Xu Yan’s lies were serious enough — pretending and even bringing fake parents into the picture was too much. You could really feel how miserable she was because of those lies. At the same time, after Hao Ming found out the truth, I understood why he couldn’t trust her right away. She approached him with a purpose, and he’s a wealthy, powerful man — it made sense that he doubted her feelings. But still, his controlling behavior later on was hard to watch and definitely crossed the line.

When they were married, though, it was amazing to watch. The chemistry between Lucy and William was the real highlight of the show — they carried it. Without that chemistry, the story wouldn’t have worked. Their relationship felt mature, complicated, and realistic — involving marriage, divorce, and reconnection. I love dramas with that kind of emotional depth.

What surprised me most was how the story shifted from being tense and full of lies to becoming genuinely funny. I haven’t laughed that hard at a drama in ages! It was so unexpected and such a nice change of pace, especially seeing Hao Ming act completely out of character in those lighter scenes — but in the best way.

If I had one complaint, it’s that the business subplot dragged a bit. I appreciated seeing Xu Yan grow into a strong, independent businesswoman — that was empowering. But Hao Ming’s work storyline wasn’t that interesting, and they focused too much on it toward the end.

As for the side characters — the second couple didn’t grab me. They lacked spark, and I didn’t really care about their relationship. Fang Lei, on the other hand, definitely didn’t deserve the happy ending she got with the lawyer. Their actions were so wrong — they lied and hurt people — so seeing them rewarded didn’t feel earned. They had chemistry, sure, but they didn’t deserve that kind of closure.

The villains also felt weak. They weren’t really “villaining” enough — there wasn’t much tension or danger from them. That, plus the business focus in the last few episodes, made the ending lose momentum.

One major disappointment was the storyline with Hao Chen. We never really got a heartfelt scene of Hao Ming acknowledging or connecting with his child. When the boy found out the truth, it was rushed — just a short line like “he talked to me,” and that was it. I really wanted a proper emotional moment between father and son. Hao Ming didn’t come across as a very present or loving father, and that whole subplot felt underdeveloped.

The final episode also missed the emotional punch it needed. I wanted to see Xu Yan and Hao Ming together more — just being a couple again. And I wish Xu Yan’s childhood trauma and her relationship with her parents had been explored more deeply. She forgave them too quickly, and that arc deserved more time.

On a lighter note, Xu Yan’s costumes were fabulous! Some of her makeup looks were a bit off, especially the heavier ones, but her natural looks and hairstyles were stunning.

And this was my first time watching William Chan — I’m now a huge fan! He was so charming, funny, and absolutely magnetic in this role. I’ll definitely be watching more of his work. The chemistry between him and Lusi was out of this world — one of the best pairings I’ve seen this year.

Overall, Love’s Ambition is refreshing and different from your typical C-drama. It’s mature, emotional, funny, and beautifully acted. Even with its flaws, I loved it and would definitely recommend it. It’s one of those shows that stays with you because of the chemistry, the emotional depth, and the way it dares to be different.

Pros:
I loved Xuyan's personal story and her growth, everything she went through from a childhood filled with resentment to her adulthood. She always fought for her dreams, and even though she made mistakes, she knew how to recognize them and move forward. 🙌
Her relationship with Shaoming's family, from her mother-in-law to Hauchen, not only taught her how to have a family but also taught each and every one of them to have beautiful values ✨
The theme of the traditional clothing company was super interesting, and I loved how this made her connect with her sister and together they smoothed over the rough edges of a dysfunctional family. 👏Her relationship with her grandmother was beautiful. In my opinion, a woman who deserves heaven for all the hard work she did in teaching Xuyan to stand on her own two feet. ✨
Cons:
I liked the dynamic of the main couple at first, but then it became very toxic. I feel like Shaoming's forgiveness to Xuyan was too superficial, and she suffered too much for him 🤷
The secondary characters were boring at times, although I liked them as characters. What happened with Qiao Lan's ex-boyfriend and the company was too much filler. They gave too much importance to a character who was extremely irrelevant to the plot.
I would have liked more scenes of Shaoming rebuilding his relationship with Hauchen.
I feel like they forgot about him at the end and didn't explain well whether his health improved despite everything.
An interesting and very realistic drama 100% recommended.
