One of the cutest BL in 2024

I just got the time to watch it since I'm busy rewatching those other series in the past and OH MY GOSHHH, they're so cute! I just saw Eito as someone's supporting role on Kabe-Koji and he's still cute as ever!

As a lover of non-explicit series, they gave a total romantic power that even they don't kiss, I'll die for their cuteness. This one's a must-watch

Very cute slice of life

This BL follows the daily life of the naive freshman Tenshin and the serious senior Takara. It's a light drama, without major plot twists, that warms the heart. The characters are very well-developed and the relationship between their opposite personalities is adorable. The cinematography is beautiful and the actors deliver great performances (in addition to being very handsome). My only negative points are personal preferences: Tenshin's almost childlike naivety and his somewhat whiny way of speaking bother me a bit. Also, the drama's pace, focused on everyday life, can be a bit slow at times.

Takidas loss for words and his clueless side kick

Cluless meets silent and mysterious in a lesson in relationships, ships, stans, stalking, obsession admiration and marbles....

As a guy who is so clueless it is a miracle they let him live alone is completely mesmerised and obsessed with this guy he met once, changed a few words with and since then got a one track mid to find that guy and just admire him. The guy has been worshiped by many but seems to like the glossy marble look in mr clueless. Honestly I am not really sure but dude sais it best when he sais nothing at all instead uses his lips for kissing thinking mr clueless will finally catch on but clueless will be clueless and is frustratingly clueless from start to finish.

That said mr cold and silent is sweet in a non verbal kind of way, the friends at uni are adorable and there is even a cute bird and kid or two if you like kids.

An okay easy bing but not really anything special

A cute sweet love story

I would say this drama is worth a watch! It’s just a cute sweet love story, although the plot threw me off a little. I was expecting Takara to be a bit meaner and colder at the beginning towards Taishin but actually I didn’t think he was… only a little. It’s a story between two people who are a little unsure and learning how to love each other. Taishin is definitely very innocent even at the end and I would also say Takara is slightly too, they are both learning how to love each other.

I also liked how there was no interruptions from any annoying characters, it was mainly focused on Takara and Taishin’s story, except from the creepy old man.

I actually would have preferred it if there was more episodes, maybe 12 or even 16. I felt like their relationship was beginning to develop but then it ended with 10 episodes. I saw there may be a spin off episode or two, so I’ll definitely be watching that!

A Story of Innocent Love & Longing

There’s something incredibly beautiful about finding the person who sees beyond the mask you wear to the needy heart beneath.

Adapted from the manga Takara no Vidro by Suzumaru Minta, the Japanese BL Takara’s Treasure tells the story of an innocent boy named Nakano Taishin (Konishi Eito), who follows a young man, Shiga Takara (Iwase Yoji), to university after Takara once helped him deal with the grief of losing his pet.

All while Taishin innocently and naively finds a way into Takara’s heart.

All in all, there is little action in the series outside of the emotional journey both of these characters take. They are a perfect balance of innocence and jadedness.

Good story with a nice romantic feel

Personal Review – A Romantic and Emotionally Gentle Story

This drama has a good story with a charming romantic character. My rating is based on the elements that really stood out to me.

The flow and sequence of events were excellent—neither annoying nor boring. The storytelling was smooth and easy to follow. I also appreciated the cinematography; the way the scenes were shot and how attention was paid to small details was impressive. These details were clearly presented, making it easy for the viewer to understand and connect emotionally.

The music was also a nice touch—calm and non-distracting, which enhanced the overall atmosphere of the drama.

Now, regarding the actors:

The main hero (Senpai) was truly outstanding. He portrayed the character with depth and sensitivity. I especially liked how he expressed his emotions—not just through dialogue, but through his expressions and the way he spoke about his past experiences. His way of showing love was beautiful and refreshingly different. It felt sincere and real.

As for the second hero, he was okay, but I feel that another actor might have brought more excitement to the role. It's not that he was bad at acting, but rather that the character didn’t suit his acting style. His portrayal felt a bit lacking—more innocent than romantic. I even had to rewatch some scenes just to understand what his character was feeling.

The supporting cast did a good job, and their roles were enjoyable to watch.

I also appreciated the episode length—not too long, but still engaging and satisfying.

Would I recommend this drama?
Yes, definitely. From my perspective, it’s worth watching. It conveys beautiful emotions and feelings in a sincere and heartwarming way—especially for fans of Boys' Love dramas.

I'm sorry but ... No

PLOT
Nothing much. No plot, no sense. The bottom has zero personality: his most-said word is ‘sorry’. I understand people has to figure their feelings out but, certainly, not this way. He’s in university, he is nineteen years old and, though, he seems a child. This can’t be justified. The development of the situation is, also, unreal, and the top is a bit toxic. I saw a lot of projects like this one, so it’s nothing special or new. I hope there’s gonna be an end not so far (of this type of plot and characters). I can not connect with and empty character. If I like someone that ignores me, I leave, okay? I noticed and appreciated that, in the last episodes, they tried to balanced the relationship. Nevertheless, it didn’t feel right. Their ‘intimacy’ and the bottom’s confidence may increase a little, but still. It reminds me of ‘Honey Lemon Soda’ I don’t know if you saw this (just the anime for now).
The one that seems to be the ‘side couple’ is not a side couple, they don’t look like boyfriend and girlfriend at all. And there is a character, hidden at first, that just comes out of nowhere and, then, vanishes. Both things feel fake and unnatural.

ACTING
I believe the bottom did a really great job, the top was okay but couldn’t laugh naturally. Everyone else was good, normal. Nothing outstanding.

MUSIC AND PRODUCTION
Great work. I like the song, the mountain’s location, the editing, the marbles. The graphic result is really nice so far.

RV
I’m not going to watch it again. I don’t feel like recommend this series to you guys. I’m sorry (the only possible reason is to see Takara, who's really hot).

A treasure in its own way!

Why is it called Takara’s Treasure? I have my guesses.

Takara has fond memories of his grandfather taking him out for a Ramune soda and getting to keep the marble after he finishes his drink. But to Takara’s mother who vies for riches and expensive jewellery, marbles are not valuable even though they can be sparkly.

Takara enjoys holding a marble up to the light and seeing the universe within a glass circle. It’s his way of seeking beauty and hope in the simplest of things. The point that this show makes is that the notion of ‘treasure’ is highly subjective and personal. The very same marble is both treasure and garbage.

When Takara looks into Taishin’s eyes, he sees himself reflected in his eyes – as glassy, shiny and pretty as marbles.

Ultimately, it’s down to Takara to prove that he sees Taishin as his kind of treasure. Just like the marble in the Ramune soda bottle.

super cute

First of all I’ve already read the manga, so i was super excited for the live action, it was cute nothing much changed. the cast did so well to my opinion. And this is just a personal preference, but i wish something more happened.. for me it was too bland like i wish there was something more. and i felt like the ending was confusing, it felt like it should’ve more episodes but they decided to end it here… anyway it’s a series that you’ll whatch and be like “that was cute” and move on.

Mediocre japanese romance series, sweet but too predictable

The series takes place in a college setting. After watching a number of similar Japanese series in recent years, I can still say that it is getting a bit boring and repetitive with the same theme over and over again. Soon it becomes difficult to tell them apart.

Many japanese BL series with almost the same plot: A very shy and nerdy guy, grown up but who behaves as if he were 12 years old, falls in love with a very handsome guy a few years older who takes care of him. A series of misunderstandings that make them almost drift apart, but they end up together anyway. If you have a few hours to spare and want to watch something easy to digest, you can binge watch it. But if you miss it, it doesn't matter, there will probably be many similar series again.

Repetitive

At first I though the first 4 episodes were cute but I got bored after that. Since it's Like only 10 episodes, they could've shown much more significant things rather than eating curry, the mom having an accident, the several walking lol, etc.

They could have delved deeper with Takara's past with his mom, like having a conclusion, something like that. The final episode had a lot of random scenes. They could have utilized those minutes for other more impactful scenes.

As for the characters, Japanese shows tend to have characters that are so timid and ignorant it's getting irritating. The actors were great though .

Overall, it's rewatchable if you're bored or you missed Iwase Yoji's visual.
