In Both, the Main leads are making movies & dramas.:
(Be Melo - Dramas and Documentary movies
Our Movie - Movies)
Both starring Jeon Yeo Been as a sad tragic character who makes a movie.
Our Movie is a tearjerker.
Be Melodramatic (despite its name) however is not a tearjerker but overall a feelgood slice of life drama-comedy, especially in back half.

“Our Movie” and “On Air” both explore the intense, emotional world behind the entertainment industry, focusing on the relationship between an actress and a director. In both dramas, the female lead is a dedicated actress facing personal and professional struggles, while the male lead is a director deeply involved in the production process. They highlight the challenges of making a film or drama, the emotional toll it takes on creators, and the evolving romantic tension between the leads as they navigate their careers and personal healing.

FL: Three women with terminal illnesses meet at a hospice. The main FL, Pyo In-sook (played by Ahn Eun-jin), is emotionally shut off and has a terminal diagnosis.
ML: Min Woo-cheon (played by Kim Kyung-nam) is a hitman with a painful past, quiet, withdrawn, and emotionally distant.
? Story: They meet while planning to take down one “bad guy” before they die — but instead, they find the one person who truly matters in their final days.
? Themes: Death, healing, loneliness, redemption, unexpected love.
? Tone: Slow-burn, artistic visuals, emotional intensity — very much like Our Movie.

Unmet is a romantic medical drama with a much better focus on the female lead's point of view and the emotions of people with chronic/ terminal illness or disability. Performances are outstanding as it features a mix of talented young actors as well as seasoned actors, who nail both the sentimental as well as moral/ ethical themes of this beautifully crafted drama.
