A Coreia do Sul finalmente cresceu

Quem é fã de dramas de fantasia sabe o quanto se sofre para assistir uma história do gênero que seja boa e que os efeitos especiais também sejam bem feitos. Considero esse drama um marco importante para a industria de dramas da Coreia do Sul e espero que daqui para frente as obras de fantasia tenham ESSA qualidade pra cima. Muito bem dirigido, ótimas fotografias e bem escrito. Os personagens podem não ter desenvolvimento apronfundado, devido a quantidade de episódios, mas todos eles conseguiram transmitir as ideias e os sentimentos corretamente, portanto o público consegue criar conexão. Ao longo da história as coisas foram sempre mudando, o que é importante para manter um bom ritmo e o episódio final foi excelente. O último episódio deixou uma ponta para poderem puxar uma segunda temporada, mas se não houver está de bom tamanho.

"The palace is a place where the powerless can escape only through death."
What if the only way to stop a royal curse was to cross into a realm of spirits? At the centre of the story is Gu-cheon, a man who can move between the real world and the Realm of Gwi. Summoned to the palace by the king, he is paired with Saeng-gang, a court lady who can hear the voices of spirits, to uncover the source of a deadly curse that has taken root in the East Palace. As the two travel between life and death under the king's secret orders, they begin to peel back the layers of a haunting that reaches deep into the royal family's past.
-Nam Joo Hyuk as Gu-cheon. Why Gu-cheon? In Korean folklore, gucheon refers to the otherworld where souls go after death. Spirits with unresolved resentment or lingering attachments to earthly desires are said to wander gucheon, unable to ascend to heaven and fully leave this world behind. In "The East Palace" , the word is also a name: Gu-
cheon, a man who can travel between the worlds of the living and the dead.
-Two Worlds: The East Palace was filmed in identical physical locations across different seasons, then used contrasting colour grading - a crimson palette for the Realm of Gwi and cooler tones for the living world to differentiate the two registers. The spirit realm is not an alien environment. It is the same palace, in different weather, under different physics. The dead are not somewhere else.
They are here, in the same corridors, the same pond-separated by ontology rather than geography.
-Every poster tells a story: In the main poster, see Gu-cheon standing in the crimson realm of Gwi, bound by a rope that Saeng-gang holds in the living world. She is the anchor. He is the scout. Together they constitute the instrument the show needs: one who can act in the spirit realm and one who can receive its transmissions.
The East Palace sharply exposes the terrifying depths of human depravity hidden within the most exclusive and opulent tomb of the Joseon Dynasty. With its grotesque yet sophisticated mise-en-scène and a hauntingly apocalyptic message, the series is a masterpiece that will linger in the mind long after the credits roll.
