Phenomenal, but confusing until I “got it”
Starting from episode 1 and beyond, the series kept me intrigued. Later on, the storyline became confusing until I figured out what was going on.… Then my intrigue became sadness, but brightened by the end. Here’s my formula: fantasy, reality, fantasy, reality. Hope it helps.The acting was phenomenal! I loved Great and Tyme as a couple. The actors’ chemistry was off the charts. Shout out to Jes Jespipat Tilapornputt (as Dr. Tyme). I had never seen his work before; he was top tier in this series. In fact, all the actors were fantastic. Their acting kept me immersed in the show and coming back for more.
The sex scenes are definitely NSFW, but I didn’t feel like they were just thrown in there for ratings. Depending on how they had sex and under what circumstances, I felt these scenes established the emotional and mental state of each of the characters. For example, “Do me raw” indicated (to me) the character’s feelings of worthlessness and guilt with their need to be punished for their “crimes.”
I found the camera angles really interesting. Also, the use of colour throughout was excellent and well thought out. I liked that the support roles had substance and weren’t mere shadows.
I look forward to rewatching this series with an even greater understanding next time. I appreciated the time and effort by the cast & crew that was put into the making of this show. I imagine it was exhausting, but I think it was well worth it!

One of the best gay drama series I have seen!
Fantastic series. Great acting from main cast. Great cinematography. Story had me on edge of my seat. A knockout for any fan of BL drama, I loved this show. It is definitely in my top BL shows of all time. I hope the trend continues for more shows to branch out from typical tropes that hamper other BL showsWas this review helpful to you?
Change my perspective of short tv shows
I usually don't write reviews, but i haven't watched something like this in a while. In this modern tv series era where most of the shows especially western ones are 8 episodes long, I have thought that it is not possible to make an amazing show with so less episodes.4 minutes changed that perspective.
It was so well written and produced. Acting of all the characters is top tier. There where no plot holes left and with all that we had a spectacular cinematography. I loved every second of it. There is literally nothing bad i can say about this tv series.
I am looking forward to more Jes and Bible works as well as viu originals shows.
To whoever is still not sure whether to watch it or not. Please do, this is a masterpiece.

Bl of the year goes to 4 minutes the series
BL of the year 🤩Wonderful plot, acting, cinematography, costume, everything is top notch.
First time it feels like the plot is actually plotting. This series is not like other typical bl drama, it has its different aura and quality which will attract you and make you crave more and more.

Better than any other BL I have watched
4 Minutes is really a cut above the BLs I have seen before. Indeed, as a casual BL fan, I never imagined I would create an account here and post a review. But here we are!The show sets itself up quickly. Despite the synopsis, this is really the story of two hot, young rich brothers: Twinky 'Great' and hunky 'Korn'. The bros' lives are turned upside down almost immediately as the series starts. Korn, because he finds out his parents' business is not simply the respectable freight and shipping company it seems to be. Great, on the other hand, realises he can see exactly 4 minutes into the future. (Or can he?)
Now we are ready for the super-fun, dark, twisty and sexy romp to commence. What sets 4 Minutes apart is that it actually stands its ground as a very solid, if implausible (and the best ones are) crime thriller, part gritty, part glamorous. The characters' personalities make sense, and their decisions are believable, given the extraordinary situations they find themselves in. The pacing is, uniquely for a BL, suitably fast, even propulsive at times.
The acting, directing, editing and set design make your typical BL look like first-year drama school productions by comparison. The show also avoids some of the more irritating, common BL tropes. The bad guy goons are not universally incompetent, for example. (Though their masters still spend an inordinate amount of time drinking posh spirits.) The bottoms are not all wide-eyed virgins - they are even on PrEP and beg for it raw!
The supernatural element is also devised and deployed with great care, maturity and sophistication. Some have complained that some plot elements remain frustratingly vague and confusing. But, for me that works, because it serves to advance the ambiguity around the nature of Great's seemingly magical ability.
Lastly, the 'NC' - I still have no idea what that acronym stands for - scenes. Wow! These are sexy and hot, but not at all gratuitous. They serve the plot very well. My only gripe. they are edited in such a way that the tops appear to climax within a couple of minutes of penetration. That is not how it is supposed to work, lads!
We will have to wait and see whether the writers are able to bring all the various threads of 4 Minutes' plot together satisfactorily in the conclusion. But, even if they don't, the ride will have been worth it. I cannot wait for the next episode! Just watch this drama!

confusing plot, bad chemistry, bad acting, too much NC scene
confusing plot, bad chemistry, bad acting, too much NC sceneup until this momment i write this review, there is no one that really explain to me what is the 4minutes plot. i guess not all people get the storyline. its look like the title 4 minutes its not match with the storyline. everything doesnt make any sense.
the main couple face too look a like, both look like brother than a lover so its very hard to imagining them together as a lover. the chemistry is 0. their nc scene is meh for me. not adding any plot and no chemistry at all. the main couple storyline is too force, flat and blend. no dinamic. after all i dont like it at all.

- Os 2 primeiros episódios são bem interessantes mostrando como os 4 minutos vem e funcionam;
- A relação do Korn e Tonkla é muito forte e bonita (o Tonkla estava desesperado por amor incondicional e o quanto ele queria fazer sexo sem camisinha mostra isso, ele estava angustiado e querendo sentir seu parceiro por completo de forma sexual e emocional);
- Eu amo a moral cinzenta dos personagens (mas o roteiro tenta amenizar e isso eu já não gosto);
- Os penúltimos episódios trazem força novamente para a série;
- Korn e Tonkla tiveram um final muito poético, foi digno do amor deles;
- Aquela fase inicial em que o Great fica focado em ajudar o Tyme a fazer justiça é muito chata pra mim, eu não gosto dessa coisa de "vamos fazer justiça, vamos mudar o mundo, vamos ser boas pessoas e sempre fazer o que é certo", isso soa chato, forçado, entediante e nada original pra mim, ainda mais dentro dessa história (sem contar que eles mal se conheciam). Eu realmente não dava a mínima pros jogos de azar do pai do Great porque isso trazia densidade para a história;
- Great e Tyme não são os protagonistas juntos, tinha muita coisa acontecendo ao mesmo tempo e por isso eu não me senti investida no romance deles, parecia que faltava alguma coisa, e realmente faltava, porque estavam focando em muita coisa de uma só vez;
- Win era insuportável, eu não aguentava mais a ladainha dele de querer ser um bom policial e ajudar o Tonkla porque gostava dele;
- Aquela redenção final do Great não me desceu, gente, pelo amor de deus, o instinto humano te diz pra fazer o que é melhor pra si mesmo, porque você quer se colocar na cadeia? Eu acho isso muito burro, você se arrependeu, legal, agora fica na sua e vai viver sua vida, essa coisa de tentar parecer bom perante os outros se entregando me faz revirar os olhos;

a Masterpiece
Minutes once again proves that BL series can explore captivating narratives beyond the typical romance tropes we often see.The Story: Speaking of the plot, 4 Minutes is an incredibly well-thought-out story. The "4 minutes" concept, along with the different characters' experiences, made it deeply emotional and, at times, heartbreaking.
Great, desperately trying to change the past and fix his mistakes.
Korn, longing to escape his old life and run away with Tonkla, the man he truly has feelings for.
Tyme, yearning for a better, more fulfilling past with Great.
A special mention goes to Win, who wasn't a winner, but in fact ironically the biggest loser in the series. Win, a police officer, who deeply loved Tonkla, someone who attempted to murder no less than three people, someone who's heart already belonged to Korn, someone who only slept with him as a way to cope with his grief of losing his brother Dome.
Win's tragic arc climaxed in him accidentally shooting Tonkla, the very person he loved. This ultimately resulted in a Romeo and Juliet-like tragedy, with Korn taking his own life after losing the person he couldn't imagine living without.
Korn's prestory was equally heartbreaking. As a brother, he carried the heavy burden of their parents' shady business dealings, all to protect his younger brother, Great. He even went as far as agreeing to marry a woman he didn't love, sacrificing his own happiness and abandoning his true love, Tonkla, in the process.
The Cast: Jes and Bible were nothing short of fantastic.
Considering this is their first series, they absolutely nailed their performances. Seeing Bas step into such a contrasting role after KinnPorsche was refreshing, and it only reinforced the idea that we need to see more of the KinnPorsche cast in varied roles. A special shout-out goes to whoever cast Fuaiz. He perfectly portrayed a character shaped by a troubled home, trusting only his brother Dome, and ultimately becoming someone broken by desperation and revenge. His journey from finding love and stability with Korn to becoming a character driven to murder was portrayed with chilling authenticity.
NC Scenes: The NC scenes were surprisingly explicit, but each one felt intentional and necessary to the storytelling of the characters and their emotional arcs. For instance, the chronologically first NC scene between Tonkla and Korn in their first encounter wasn't just about intimacy - it was about trust, stability, and comfort in a relationship that had just begun to take shape. Later, we see Tonkla turning to Win as a way to cope with the immense grief of losing his brother, Dome, showing how far the character had fallen emotionally. And then there's the beautiful, intimate scene between Great and Tyme in Greats alternate timeline, where their love is finally allowed to blossom after Great's successful attempt to save Nan.
Cinematography & Soundtrack: Visually, the show was a treat. The cinematography, the framing of each shot, and the choice of music were impeccably paired with the emotions of every scene. Everything felt deliberate and meaningful. Especially the last scene of Ep. 8 of Great and Tyme laying on the boat was such a great homage to the truck scene in KinnPorsche. And let's not forget Jes singing the KinnPorsche OST "Why Don't You Stay" in his Characters 4-minute moment-it left me absolutely in tears.
Final Thoughts: 4 Minutes is a masterpiece in every sense.
It's the kind of BL that seeks an audience willing to engage with the complexity of the plot, one who doesn't mind being left with questions after each episode.
The Message: The series leaves a powerful takeaway: Live your life fully. Don't leave things unresolved. Fix the things you can, and never leave words unsaid with those you love.
