Five Stars

Episode 16 broke my heart in a way I wasn't prepared for. 💔 Changxuan finally telling Pingjun to leave him and never come back was painful because, for all his flaws, you can see how deeply he wants her to stay. But love cannot be forced, no matter how desperately you want someone to choose you. The scene with the caged canary was such a beautiful parallel to his own feelings, as if he finally understood that keeping someone beside you isn't the same as being loved by them. And Cheng Lei? His expressions, his tears, and the way he carries Changxuan's pain without needing too many words deserve so much appreciation. Then we see him return to his authoritative, commanding self in the military scenes, reminding us that the man who can command an army is completely helpless when it comes to the woman he loves. What an emotionally devastating episode. 🍂

Loved it

Captivating storyline and the phenomenal cast. The staging and costuming deserve immense praise; it is clear that meticulous effort went into even the smallest details. Furthermore, the opportunity to immerse oneself in China during this captivating historical period is genuinely fascinating
