Sombre tale with captivating ML
I don't remember what made me to check out this drama but I save this drama to my Youtube playlist after few minutes of watching.What I liked:
1. He Jian Qi - He is handsome but what made me drawn to him is his gripping performance. He was expressive with his character's feelings from indifference to anguish and sincerity. The styling (hair & outfits) for his character suits him so much.
2. Plot - I like how the story progressed and scenes with villain were not draggy.
3. Supporting characters - The actor playing FL's friend & senior gave good performance and was handsome. Has potential to become ML in other dramas. Too bad I don't know his name.
What I disliked:
1. Romance - There wasn't much time dedicated to romantic scenes as ML & FL were more in indifference & anger stages. However the kiss between ML & FL was hot and passionate.
2. Length - This drama is just slightly more than an hour if I am not mistaken. Wish for extended scenes for example the reconciliation.
3. FL characterisation - Underdeveloped and distant. Hard for me to root for her.

This drama shows All He Jianqi really lacks.
I watched when i was still not found of He Jianqi acting and this is one drama i didn't like itThe story is simple: FL deeply loves the ML and forces him to marry her, which he then does. After marriage, the ML constantly wavers between loving and not loving her. He torments the FL,FL wants to leave and fakes her death.ML realizes his feelings and ultimately chases after FL in a dramatic way.
I don't like both of the leads characterization both are bad guys and i never justified their action. He Jianqi acting skill kinda obviously lack since it was his earliest time. Zhai Xingran acting in here is quite potential, she need to be polished to make her acting better.
Wont recommend this drama.

Iconic acting
What a performance… what a brilliant performance by He Jianqi. My god, babe, I’m still crying... and you know I don’t cry easily. They say an actress proves her talent in ruthless scenes, but an actor becomes a legend when he nails the emotional moments… especially the loss-of-beloved scene. Only a few men can pull it off like Luo Yunxi in TTEOTM, and now He Jianqi just joined that league.As for the plot? Ahh… let’s call it what it is — mediocre.
FL is exhausted from seven years of a failing marriage.ML blames her for his ex-lover’s death.
Broken and defeated, she attempts suicide.
She disappears… and then the ML finally realises what she meant to him.That’s literally the story.
But Jianqi? He carried this entire drama like a one-man army. The FL did well, though her character barely had anything to do. The actress playing the vamp… honestly, she needs a full acting workshop. Imagine being in a cast with such strong leads and delivering that performance... painful.
Still, the drama hits. Best enjoyed with a bowl of noodles and a cold can of Coke.

Assisti esse drama em 2024, mas hoje procurando no reddit, encontrei este drama como recém encontrado e gostei do pôster (diferente deste, é claro, já o upei), ao dar play fiquei UÉ, esse drama é velho pra caramba kkkkkkE eu me lembro bem porque eu estava na fase completamente apaixonada pelo He Jianqi até assistir a este drama e ao Affectionate Seduction (2024) na sequência hahahah
O He Jianqi é bem complexo para mim, porque eu o amo, mas tem personagens que ele faz que me marca completamente, e que me fazem ficar com um pé atrás por meses hahahah. A sua caracterização foi boa, seu figurino e penteado mostraram a emoção que o ML estava sentindo no momento. Sua atuação é boa, ele consegue sempre fluir muito bem em ser um canalha e no segundo seguinte chorar dramaticamente que nos faz sentir a sua dor.
Eu gostei muito da atriz Zhai Xin Ran, ela mandou muito bem em seu primeiro drama, seu figurino era bonito e sua personagem moralmente duvidosa, porém real. Ela por amor, força o ML a se casar com ela em troca de doar sangue para salvar outra mulher, mas ela morre...
A história é muito rápida, tem pouco mais de 1 hora, ela tenta se matar e ao ser salva, decide fingir sua morte para escapar dele, que depois de 7 anos, oscila entre momentos de afeto e palavras cruéis. Ai a chave vira, ele percebe que realmente a ama e corre atrás dela. Acaba que o relacionamento deles não é bem construído e acaba focando na chá verde antagonista vaca da 2FL kkkkk
O final é levemente em aberto, porém tem uma cena (que nem todos os links tem) do campo de flores.
