Great acting, storyline, and production team
Huge props to the child actor for nailing his role. I enjoyed that the ML left behind his toxic family and chose himself and his family. The ending was a bit rushed but that is normal for short series. I would have liked to have known what happened to the brother/ex and his fiancé. Were they charged with smuggling? Overall very much enjoyed. Was this review helpful to you?

The Writers forgot to take their Adderall.
She was framed for her grandmother's death by her sister, her father, and her mother. When her mother is in prison, she admits to not liking her and didnt feel a connection with her. The only saving grace in her family is her maternal aunt who is an absolute gem of a human being. She was taken in my a mob boss who she saved during her nightshift. Im confused as she barely worked in the hospital during the show. But shes also a student who almost gets kicked out of school until the ML comes and saves her. It feels like the writers were trying to hit a bucket list of tropes. Honestly, I'm suprrised no one suffered amnesia halfway through. The revenge on her family was satisfying. So I guess there is that. Was this review helpful to you?

Explosive Chemistry
Okay, the brother didn't just have amnesia. He had a whole personality change and I love that the main leads called him out on it. The 2FL was shortsighted. She could have stayed quietly by the 2MLs side and he likely would never have found out what she did. On that note, why do you owe someone your whole life if they saved your life. It sets the groundwork for people pretending to save people and them making astronomical requests of the person they "saved." Case in point.A standout scene was when Liang Si Wei (ML) begged her to choose him and like him. It reminded me of Meredith Grey in the elevator scene in Grey's anatomy. I was scared it was foreshadowing a breakup but thankfully it didn't. The leads had explosive chemistry that translated really well on the screen. It was hard to remember they weren't a real couple.

A Genuine Joy to Watch
FREAKING FINALLY someone calls out the double standard of chastity. Liang Si Wei generally picks out likeable/kind characters and this was no exception. From the start when Wang Jian called out chastity as a, "man's vanity prize" I knew this was the drama for me. Her revenge on her family wasnt a focal point to me (because Liang Si Wei...) until I realized that the father didnt just beat his wife who had just delivered a baby. He beat the baby to death too. Now, I think the four of them got off too easy. I am happy that the sister found her happy ending with the FLs brother. Although, I didnt quite understand if he was her adoptive brother or cousin. Language barrier? Either way, one of my only republican era shows I enjoyed this is a must-see!Was this review helpful to you?

That Marriage Stone Needs to Ban Them
Wow. They casted everyone so incredibly well and thr chemistry was absolutely fire for all of the couples.Actors breakdown: The ML Hao Ming Hao did a great job but I felt he needed more emotional range. or maybe it was just the character. The FL Lu Yu Xiao was AMAZING. i will definitely be looking up her other dramas as this is the first of hers I have watched.
It would be nice to see Yu Cheng En in a character that doesn't give off "Peter pettigrew" vibes. He Nan (the Queen of abyss) did a good job with the complex role she had. I did wonder why she always looked like she was going to cry but maybe she was wearing uncomfortable contacts or something. Her love interest did a great job. I genuinely had no clue whose side he was on until further into the series.
I generally am NOT a fan of chinese OST (nothing personal just not my preference) and I LOVED this one. Im currently searching Spotify for the actual score.
Plotline: I felt like it kinda dragged between episodes 30 to 34. Like there are only so many times you can go in circles. That being said the show gave me a Ashes of Love/Eternal Love of a Dream. I would definitely suggest watching this one!

Tear Jerker
This one is devestatingly amazing. It delves into the true meaning of love and letting go for the one you love. The story centers around two unloved chaebols who fall in love only to meet a tragic demise. He is able to go back to the day they met and chooses to pursue her properly. However, going back in time comes with a heavy price: it ages him and drastically deteriorates his health. Despite this he attempts to live a good life with her until once again they meet a tragic demise. On his third and last rebirth he protects her by silently supporting her as he is now an old man whose health barely allows him to live. He changes her life only to die of old age/sickness before they ever properly meet. However, she is happy which was his goal. It is devastating and wholesome and a true testament of love. The actors did a phenomenal job and major kudos to the ML who mamaged to portray different aging characters over one vertical drama.
That being said the last minute where the writers attempted to soften the blow by msking it out to be 2 actors playing a scene cheapened the beautiful storyline and the messages that came across.

Digging 2 Graves for Revenge
Her story is heartbreaking. You don't get to pick your parents. She tried and tried and he was terrible to her. I get his mom was wronged and she was mad but what he did was horrible. The daughter didnt do anything wrong to anyone and the mother couldn't care less. Honestly, the real villains here are her mom and his dad. They should have said something to her. A lot of people were mad that it was HEA but this was the best ending for them. You cant forgive what he did. You can only move on. Overall I enjoyed, however I do wonder why this ML closes these scumbaggyish roles....Was this review helpful to you?

SLEEP? Who needs sleep when you could be binging this?!
IDK how to even express myself after this mastpiece of a show. I went from cheering, dreading uncovered secrets, fear, praying they would just let each other go, and then finally peace and happiness that they were able to fall into place after they each grew up and worked on themselves. One needed to learn to love himself and the other how to love others. It's a story about *how* to love. Regret, remorse, love, and lust are all big themes and of course, BL time. I think the turning point for Fan Xiao was when he pressed the send button for the whistleblower information. He knew he needed to be punished and didnt want Hao Yiran to have to live with making the decision to send him to prison. Hao Yirens turning point came when he chose not to be alone and adopted Tian Tian. He started veering towards his self-redemption when he abandoned his worthless brother who only saw him as an ATM. I love that they adopted the kid at the end and that they both worked through their issues. Everything came full circle. Was this review helpful to you?

This show is a perfect example of what a good cast, director, script, and staff can do. An undercover cop saves a girl with a gambling dad. She eventually becomes a journalist and finds him again. The story sounds simple enough but with absolutely phenomenal chemistry, acting, and directing it turned it into a masterpiece. I'm not negating the script. It was a good script but I've seen plenty of good scripts butchered by terrible acting or good actors that have been in so many roles together it's boring to watching them.Do I think the dad got off easy? Yes.
Did I really want to see a wedding? Yes.
Would I watch another season of this? Hell yes.

All Rounder
Wow. I did not expect that. This show had everything. It was heavy in a way that you genuinely felt for the FL but at the same time they casted the ex-best friend so well and she played her part so well that it's kept feeling bad for her despite the fact that she was a liar, cheater, and all around devil of human being. Do I feel bad she lost her baby? No. That child would have been exploited and twisted mentally his/her entire life. As would the poor dummy who believed her in the first place. I love that his parents took the FL in and regardless of everything still loved her. I would have loved to see more interactions between them and the FL but I get they were essential to the plot points. The FLs parents were 100% in the wrong. You don't need to isolate and abandon the daughter you raised for twenty years in order to make your daughter feel loved. If you do that is extremely telling on the biodaughter than anything else. Finally, the ML. He is not a green flag. He's a whole damn football field. He gave her reassurances, let everyone in his company know who she was, and even spoke (and got advice) about her with his family. Honestly, with everything her ex-husband, ex-best friend, and adopted parents put her through: she deserves it. Great chemistry. Great casting. Great Costumes. Great editing and directing. We need more dramas like this! Was this review helpful to you?

Mind. BLOWN. This revenge story highlights the absolute appalling nature of spoiled chaebols who don't understand the value of life and have money to fix any "mistake" they make. The FL sister is 🍇 to death by the father of the ML. The ML mother was k@ll$ed by him as well. Toss in his step-brother who is an actual psycho and you have a well planned, directed, and acted plot. 10/10 would suggest and am already rewatching. Was this review helpful to you?

Find a Hole Somewhere Deserted and Bury This Plot
IDK if I can stomach another version of this storyline. The ML is obsessed with the FL. She saved his life when he was an enemy prisoner in another state and stayed dutifully by his side. He chose to repay that kindness by casting her aside for a wife with substantial backing so as never be weak again. He ""loved"" the FL which caused the new wife to abuse her and she was treated like a slave. She chose to escape and gain marriage with his brother thr crown prince. Realizing he was going to lose her the ML panicked. and the crown prince essentially sold her back to him for leverage. Honestly, neither of them deserved her. She deserved to be free from them and free from men who just abused and used her. All in all, the best character was the sister who was kind and good to the FL consistently. Was this review helpful to you?

A Cautionary Tale About Dating a Man-Child and Putting Yourself First
A tale about putting yourself and realizing when you are stuck in a ruthless. Even if that rut is someone you love. I like that all of the leads had major character Growth here. It was hard seeing Ji Chang Wook as the "bad guy" but he did it well. I mean he wasn't bad, just immature and not ready for an adult relationship. I mean seriously who flicks someone you love that hard? Was this review helpful to you?

Terrible Script but Great Acting
A heart breaking drama about a girl with leukemia and a power hungry vicious father. I think something important to learn here is that not everyone copes with being sick in the same way. She could not handle being a burden to him so she chose to run. Twice. I get it they loved each other but idk if my relationship could have survived that. That being said his whole abuse plotline was completely far out and should not have been tolerated regardless of what she had done in the past. The actors all did a great job (special shout out to the girls brother/best friend of ML for being a stand up guy and not putting up with BS.) They all did great with such a terrible script.

While I see everyone's obsession there is so much non consent and red flags- no red planets- it was hard to fully enjoy. Objectively, I see why people were obsessed but the noncon and the mental torture the ML was put through was a huge no for me. Physical and emotional abuse/blackmail is not okay regardless of gender.
