Absolutely Horrific
Honestly, I dont know what us worse. the people who wrote this script, the producer and director who thought it was a good idea to make it, and the actor's managers and actor's who chose to play these roles (provided they had a choice). Even if she isn’t the person you have been looking for, there is absolutely NO REASON to treat another human being (or anyone for that matter) the way he did. That's grossing over the fact that she was BLIND. Utilizing the very simple skill of common sense she couldn't have done most of the things she was accused of as she couldn't see to actually do them!Was this review helpful to you?

Waiting for season 2!
I was not expecting this much comedy from Palace Drama. The story had a great plot with a lot of surprise plotlines. The princess of Hennian was AMAZING and I was fangirling every scene she was in. I am curious about the FL knew how to do CPR though.... I am guessing it's a transmigrator show. I wish there was more on the two leads but I guess that will be season 2 since the show ended off telling you to wait for season 2. That was almost a year ago (fall 2025) so here is to hoping it comes out soon... The funniest scene was when they were adjusting the sister, her maid, and the general (FL's ex) in bed. You could see the actresses holding back laughter when the Prince of Jing arranged their arms on General He. I want to see the BTS of those scenes!Was this review helpful to you?

Great plot, leads, and costumes!
The leads had AMAZING chemistry. That red-beaded headpiece was absolutely fabulous. It could have been disastrous but Lin Qiu Nai pulled it off with elegance with a dash of modern flare in a historical drama. Overall it was a great drama. The brother was a creep. Lets call it what it is. The real villian is the emperor who ground loyal officers bones and put them under his throne so people could trample on them every day. Best of this storyline
Of the versions of this storyline, this one sets itself apart by not just a good cast but closing off their stories well. Even after everything she did the 2FL made me feel so bad for her. She just wanted a loving family but couldn't get it because her mother was a mistress. I'm glad the 2ML matured and eventually got a happy ending. You shouldn't have to live with mistakes your entire life. The FL will make a wise empress one day. Do I think the dad deserved forgiveness? No. but forgiveness is not for the sinner but for the person who was affected to let go. She let go and moved on. Jin Ze. How you are missed.Was this review helpful to you?

Of the other versions I feel like this one has the best set and overall best castings (with the exception of ML - u cant beat wang kaimu - and the He brother). This had more of a noir Vegas feel to it, which for a front for illegal organ harvesting makes the more sense than a serene beach town. They also spent more time developing their lovestory and closing up the moms story rather than focus on the illigitmate brother and organ trafficking. Was this review helpful to you?

Good Chemistry + Good Directing/Producing
I've seen many different versions of this plotline. I don't understand how a mother could be so incredibly and blindly biased. Yes, you can love the daughter you raised but there is no reason to keep your bio daughter around just to treat her like a doormat. Her ex-fiance deserved his ending. He was cruel and both physically and mentally abusive. The FL is lucky she got out before they got married and things got worse. Something I have never said before but WOAH that last location was absolutely breathtaking. How do I find out where it is? I kinda wish we saw more of what happened to the fake sister and her retribution for trying to kill the FL. I also wanted to see the MLs mother's reaction. Did she know they were both in love with each other? was she supportive? I know it's a short drama so they need to keep the script concise. That is fine but I feel as if they brought his mom up so many times it was weird having never met her when the drama ended. That being said the last 3 or 4 minutes was just beautiful cinematography. Yes, the leads had good chemistry but the parallel flashbacks and then the stairs. Im swooning.Was this review helpful to you?

Interesting with some glaring plot holes
An interesting revenge story where the FL actually gets revenge and plans ahead to protect her family and loved ones. What I don't get is why it took her so long to realize that the boy who saved her wasnt the prince. They had zero personality overlap and she heard their voices and they did not sound the same. I can't imagine anyone's voice changing that dramatically in the hour or so that he left. Also, how did thr general get medical attention? Was their not a ruckus? Obvious plot holes aside, this was a well casted, acted, and directed drama. I kinda hoped the cousin would have learned from her mistake after the prince sold her off to repay his debts, but I guess you can't fix everyone. Great chemistry between FL and costars
I think this is my favorite of this storyline. She genuinely just wanted to live and do the things she always wanted to do (like get an education - something we take for granted.)However, as shown with the bird flu case and her brother almost dying, she was unwilling to trample on other people's lives to get there. That in itself sets her apart. The only thing I didnt like was that they never included the mother's storyline but it is a *short drama and with the time they had they did a very good job. Can we get a second season?

Non Con and a Whole Lotta Nope
He assaulted her for an unspecified but implied lengthy amount of time. He refused her food unless she begged like a dog citing Pavlov (who was later condemned for his work because it was immoral) and then could not fathom why she didnt love him, "like before?" And like an absolute idiot she saved him?! Even worse she went to visit him in the hospital? Then to firmly cement that she may be as sane as he is, she allowed him to come visit her? Knowing he abused her and imprisoned her already once and had fully planned to do it again?I think the only positive thing in this drama were the two decent human beings who tried to help her. I hope they ended up happy/together or with someone that made them happy because they were the only people in this show sane enough for it.

Wish there was more
In order to survive her rebirth she needs to marry the ML. however after 5 misses the system gives her an option of going after the MLs best friend instead for her last chance. An interesting concept m, however, i giund it to be lacking next to such talented lead actor/actresses. Howeever, that being said the two have incredible chemistry.Was this review helpful to you?

A Great Stand-Alone Show
I havent seen KinnPorsche but I have seen clips. This was supposed to be a spin-off of two of the characters. I adored this show. The leads had great chemistry and while I think the brothers storyline was a bit redundant, as whole the plot moved nicely. This was one of those ""girls are all catty"" dramas which I guess can be true but I was raised on football and no-nonsense so I wouldn't know. Cute and Dorky with a Side of Office Drama
I think the hardest part of this drama is not falling in love with the silly male lead. It's understandable and commendable that the other ML as well as the secretary unit falls in love with him. I like that they didnt portray the women in the show as catty devils who only serve as foils for the ML. It seems to be the trend in BL these days. I liked the progression and that it didnt sit on the MLs trauma and instead chose to delve into his healing journey. I especially like that the MLs mom heckled the other ML but all in good natured fun and accepted them.Was this review helpful to you?

Good acting and plotline but not enough time for it to be followed through fully
With a similar storyline to Descendants of the Sun, this story switched it up by having the FL being an absolute brave badass. The ML is brave and clearly with a lot of inner-dialogue going on. She chooses him and keeps choosing him the whole series. I was glad he didnt go in that night. It would have ended their relationship. Instead they were able to connect on a deeper level and eventually get married. While I enjoyed the show, I felt they tried to put too much into a short drama. There wasnt time for the plot and character development. In the end they sacrificed a proper ending but at least there was good plot.Also, the amount of smoking in this drama is staggering. Smoking kills and impressionable younger people are watching.

A sweet romance that blends the Forbidden Love and Growing Up Genres nicely
There have been an uptick of toxic dramas lately so this was a nice change. The last several step-sibling that I've seen have had an alarming amount of non-con and abusive themes. This drama was sweet and built on an puppy love attraction from high school. I like that the female lead never gave up on the male lead and the male lead didn't want her ""corrupting"" herself for him. It gave Grease vibes but with non-related siblings vibes. Aka: China Grease. Due to the one child policy, there are two generations of people who don't understand what having a sibling means. This is what causes a lot of the ""gugge"" issues in media and the increase of demand of the genre on adult sites.Was this review helpful to you?

Spicy + Heart-Warming= A Great
The combo of chemistry and sweet heartwarming chemistry between the leads makes for a wonderful show. I appreciated the trio staying together despite the two of them dating and her support for her two friends. There was definitely a gaping hole missing for her storyline.Although the plot/storyline felt vastly underdeveloped what was shown was done very well. I've already written three more seasons in my head that properly incorporates the rest of the characters. I do wonder what the dad thought of his son's relationship and I totally saw the other set of parents catch on much earlier in their relationship. Still, I think it's hilarious the parents knew about their relationship before they did.
This was a great intro to Taiwanese TV!
