Amazing

This was such an original concept that was carried out well by a combination of great actors/actresses, costume/makeup, and storyline/editing.
The FL and her ***sister trade off characters so unbelievably well. You can tell which character it is not by what they look like but their mannerisms ans facial expressions. honestly, a phenomenal acting feat.
I can honestly say that I have lost track of how many times I have watched it. It is also a great first chinese drama to start off with. kudos all around!

Wish there was more

In order to survive her rebirth she needs to marry the ML. however after 5 misses the system gives her an option of going after the MLs best friend instead for her last chance. An interesting concept m, however, i giund it to be lacking next to such talented lead actor/actresses. Howeever, that being said the two have incredible chemistry.

A Great Stand-Alone Show

I havent seen KinnPorsche but I have seen clips. This was supposed to be a spin-off of two of the characters. I adored this show. The leads had great chemistry and while I think the brothers storyline was a bit redundant, as whole the plot moved nicely. This was one of those ""girls are all catty"" dramas which I guess can be true but I was raised on football and no-nonsense so I wouldn't know. One of my favorite parts of this show (other than raw chemistry) was the wardrobes. That red suit....

Cute and Dorky with a Side of Office Drama

I think the hardest part of this drama is not falling in love with the silly male lead. It's understandable and commendable that the other ML as well as the secretary unit falls in love with him. I like that they didnt portray the women in the show as catty devils who only serve as foils for the ML. It seems to be the trend in BL these days. I liked the progression and that it didnt sit on the MLs trauma and instead chose to delve into his healing journey. I especially like that the MLs mom heckled the other ML but all in good natured fun and accepted them.

Good acting and plotline but not enough time for it to be followed through fully

With a similar storyline to Descendants of the Sun, this story switched it up by having the FL being an absolute brave badass. The ML is brave and clearly with a lot of inner-dialogue going on. She chooses him and keeps choosing him the whole series. I was glad he didnt go in that night. It would have ended their relationship. Instead they were able to connect on a deeper level and eventually get married. While I enjoyed the show, I felt they tried to put too much into a short drama. There wasnt time for the plot and character development. In the end they sacrificed a proper ending but at least there was good plot.

Also, the amount of smoking in this drama is staggering. Smoking kills and impressionable younger people are watching.

A sweet romance that blends the Forbidden Love and Growing Up Genres nicely

There have been an uptick of toxic dramas lately so this was a nice change. The last several step-sibling that I've seen have had an alarming amount of non-con and abusive themes. This drama was sweet and built on an puppy love attraction from high school. I like that the female lead never gave up on the male lead and the male lead didn't want her ""corrupting"" herself for him. It gave Grease vibes but with non-related siblings vibes. Aka: China Grease. Due to the one child policy, there are two generations of people who don't understand what having a sibling means. This is what causes a lot of the ""gugge"" issues in media and the increase of demand of the genre on adult sites.

Spicy + Heart-Warming= A Great

The combo of chemistry and sweet heartwarming chemistry between the leads makes for a wonderful show. I appreciated the trio staying together despite the two of them dating and her support for her two friends. There was definitely a gaping hole missing for her storyline.
Although the plot/storyline felt vastly underdeveloped what was shown was done very well. I've already written three more seasons in my head that properly incorporates the rest of the characters. I do wonder what the dad thought of his son's relationship and I totally saw the other set of parents catch on much earlier in their relationship. Still, I think it's hilarious the parents knew about their relationship before they did.
This was a great intro to Taiwanese TV!

Post Pridon Romance

Boy Meets Girl. Boy goes to prison for girl. Girl doesnt know.
Girl finds out. Girl falls in love with boy. END SCENE.

This drama had a similar feel to fireworks to your heart with yangyang. He spent years in prison to protect her privacy and then rejected her when he came out of prison because he felt inadequate. I hear you bro. but seriously you did time for her. Their chemistry wasnt the best but overall the acting was good.

Was I missing a part?

During a live a fan asked if there was abuse in the drama and the FL said no and the ML looked appalled. Yes, there was a lot of toxicity. Her dad seemed like a genuinely kind person and her bio mom was a terrible person. Only taking one child? sheesh. The two leads had good chemistry but I feel like they kept leading up to a scene... that never happened. I liked the aunt and FLs relationship the best of all the dynamics on the show. Still sad about the dad.

Script ✔️ Acting ✔️ Producing ?

While I like the two leads individually and they have good chemistry together, the script was just no. There were also so many post/pre-production errors that were noticeable and took away from the actual enjoyment of the show. There were at least 2 if not 3 Wardrobes inconsistencies within scenes and just her stomach sizing was inconsistent throughout the show. A pregnancy progresses (meaning gets larger in nature) not has a tiny bump depending on which outfit the actress was wearing. If the actresses looks were such an issue perhaps it would have been a better idea to skip the whole twins storyline. I have never heard of a woman with a flat belly pregnant with twins at 5 months. It's not medically possible, I mean you can deliver and save the babies at that point.... Moving on-ish: what woman hell-bent on keeping her babies goes drinking and dancing in a club? Again, at about 5 months pregnancy with TWINS?! I'm convinced that no one in the writing, editing, or production team has ever been pregnant, known someone pregnant, or read a basic book on pregnancy. The random fainting due to blood sugar? No. She's pregnant. Rant over. The FL and MLs friends were both great. I wish there was a way to find out the actors information. Overall, I have seen this storyline almost a dozen times and while not my favorite (entirely due to writing/production and this version of the characters) they did a great job.

Hilarious Repeat Drama

Like W this is a story about a woman (a writer this time) being sucked into her screenplay. Her character is the exact opposite of her and she has to figure out how to survive the ever-changing plotline in an effort to get home before she is killed first. Zhao Lusi brings life to a character that has been played many many many times before in Asian dramas and she did it exceptionally well. While W was heavier and more dramatic this was light-hearted and fun. It would have gotten a 10 but the storyline was pretty much typical for a drama (which is something they poke fun of in the drama)

They Guarded Eachother Until The End (play on the title)

The main leads both are coming out of deeply traumatic experiences that left their loved ones dead. They heal together creating a sweet and touching love story. I do wish there was more on what happened to the FLs dad. I mean you can't just try and harvest your child's organs and move on with your day. It would probably have hurt less if he was just harvesting her organs to sell and make money. He literally said, hey I like my other kid better and she has a congenital heart disease. Let's take my other kids heart. sheesh. Talk about family drama. The grandma is a gem. So are the rest of the tattoo shop people.

Acting ✔️ Plot ?

I struggled to find the message with this one. Is it that we can only truly connect with people with the same "sickness" as us or that degenerative mental illness can be "cured."
Plot-wise i found it to be a little messy and confusing. Also was there really a point for his wife to be there? Also, did the cousin and uncle get justice? Also, I felt like it was implied that the ML was setup to go on that ship. I have a lot of questions but not in a good way. The acting was well done but still I felt as if the plot left something to be desired.

Not Original but Adorable

While the storyline may not ve original in nature the actors/actresses kept the story fresh and interesting. The child actor was adorable and did very well as well.
I do wonder about the "friend." Did she think she could go on lying forever? Did she not think about the fallout? Are all the green tea/villianous women delusional or is it specific to chinese vertical dramas?
Also, why didnt the ML look into whether or not the girl was the really the right woman before he started spending millons on her? IDk for people in the finance sector you would think they would be more money savvy and protect their investments...

Fluffy with Serious Chemistry

This is one of those fluffy romantic series that you watch in an oversized animal onesie with snacks, chocolate, and a yummy drink. The leads had great chemistry and both did a stellar job acting their respective roles. The moms were a bit intense (each for their own reasons) but also protective of their kids. I dont think the whole fake engagement side-plot was needed but I see why they put it there (aka to move the plot along). The ML has very expressive eyes that you can feel as if you can see into his soul. The FL also gives heavily emotionally charged performances. They make a great duo! (att casting directors: you do not have to pair them in the next 20 dramas you make!)
