When fantasy starts feeling too real
I really loved the concept of this drama. The idea of being able to “subscribe” to a boyfriend is playful, but the story uses it to explore loneliness and the desire to be truly seen by someone. What I found most interesting was how the line between the game and reality slowly started to blur, sometimes even making me feel a bit anxious. The exaggerated characters inside the “game” world actually worked well because they emphasized how artificial everything was, highlighting the contrast with the real emotions developing outside of it.I also really enjoyed the romance between the leads, their relationship was built gradually through small moments and growing trust, which made their connection feel natural and sincere. Another thing I liked were the cameos of the different “boyfriends”: most of them were really well chosen and added fun little moments to the story, even if a couple didn’t work as well for me. In the end, what could have been just a quirky concept turned into a surprisingly heartfelt and engaging watch.

What a delightful Romance!
This was an absolutely delightful series to watch! It's a well written storyline, with a great cast.
I would probably call it a Romantic Comedy, because some scenes had me laughing out loud.
I would happily rewatch this just for its feel-good effect.
I did have some frustration with the Female lead as she navigated her feelings and developed her understanding of Love,
but it showed a realistic process and her character growth was wonderful to watch.
The Male lead was a wonderful character and beautifully acted.
The lead couple was well developed with meaningful interactions, and side characters really were enjoyable and added to the ensemble very well.
The concept of virtual dating vs real dating was well thought out and well done.
This is an excellent series! I heartily give it a 10 out of 10!

Cutesy romcom
I loved the idea of the whole storyline; it’s quite original and fun. Honestly I feel like they should’ve tried harder with kyeongnam and mirae’s story cause some of the ‘virtual boyfriend’ had more spark compared to them *cough* eunho *cough*. This is the first kdrama of jisoo that i’ve watched, her acting is okay (not great on crying scenes, and some are a bit much, but overall pretty expressive). Inguk is wonderful at micro expressions, despite only getting a full story at the 2 last episodes he still managed to steal my attention. Also wanted to point out that some people probably have problems with the virtual world cgi, but I think it’s perfectly hyper-realistic, matches well with the theme.

I love it
Just finished “Boyfriend on Demand” and I honestly loved every minute of it. 💙Watching in this drama reminded me again why he’s one of my favorite actors. He has this effortless charm that makes every romantic scene feel real and emotional. The way he expresses love—sometimes playful, sometimes deeply sincere—just pulls you into the story.
The romance in this drama is truly the highlight. Every moment between the leads felt natural, warm, and exciting. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the story allows their relationship to grow in a way that feels both sweet and meaningful. I found myself smiling at the small moments and rooting for them in every scene.
What I loved most is how the drama balances romance with emotional depth. It’s not just about falling in love; it’s about connection, vulnerability, and learning to trust someone with your heart. And honestly, watching Seo In-guk deliver those emotional moments made it even more special.
If you enjoy heartfelt romance, great chemistry, and a male lead who completely owns the role of the perfect boyfriend, “Boyfriend on Demand” is definitely worth watching. It’s sweet, engaging, and full of moments that will make you fall in love with the characters. 💫

It's definitely something
Honestly this drama isn't for the faint of heart if u don't like AI futuristic near horroe shows don't watch this. The story follows a woman who uses a virtual reality boyfriend simulator to go on dates with picture perfect men but feeling she's part of a commodity of women and just another number she goes a steo further and creates a perfect ideal man who a large survey but then this giu she created looks exactly like a coworker who she then dates and he finds out and within 2 episodes forgives her and continues the relationship?Well this is very weird,i know it's a tv show we can't take it and apply it to the logics of the real world but it's very creepy. Imagine if that concept was gender bent or happened in the real world ?
the backlash? the horror? the disgust? i would even pursue criminal charges.
But it's a show that's supposed to be romantic and carefree so we can't take it to heart. I think the story wasn’t that bad no need for 10 episodes tho could have been 8 because it got draggy in the end. Furthermore it's an okay show would never rewatch it under normal circumstances tho. Also i think i am one of the few people ho thought Jisoo did a good job? she wasn't bad at all pretty good and I'm an ARMY . In the end i think inrated it high because i enjoyed the fact it was a different concept then what we were used to.

great concept
I found the idea of virtual dating to be intriguing and really refreshing to watch. However, I found that the main couple's story to not be as engaging, as I felt almost no chemistry in the beginning and then suddenly they have feelings for each other??But even though the story lacked depth, I found many aspects of the drama entertaining and funny, as I kept finding myself laughing at random moments. And overall, it's cute and entertaining, definitely a worth watch!

Just a Fun Watch Don’t Overthink It!!
I started this mainly because of the leads and the unique VR dating concept. Even though I watched it, I don’t think I’ll watch this genre again maybe it’s just not my preference 🥲What I liked about the drama is that it’s easy to watch and doesn’t feel heavy. Some scenes are genuinely funny and the VR situations keep things fresh. I’m also glad they didn’t drag the VR dating part for too long, otherwise it would’ve become boring as hell but love the Seo Kang Joon and Jisoo chemistry need another drama with them😁
That said, the pacing feels a bit fast and sometimes the emotional depth isn’t fully developed, some romantic moments could have been explored more instead of quickly moving to the next plot point
But honestly, this isn’t the kind of drama you should overanalyze. It’s just a fun and light watch with a modern idea about dating and technology
This is just my POV, not some professional review just glad I watched it

“I Pressed Play for Jisoo… and Ended Up Loving the Whole Drama”
Not bad at all! While the drama might have a few flaws, it really manages to hook the viewer. Not a single episode feels boring, which makes it a very enjoyable watch. As for the acting, I really liked it. It wasn’t bad at all, and Jisoo did a great job—you can clearly see her improvement. There were many moments throughout the drama that I enjoyed, but my favorite one was in the last episode when Seo In Guk's character gets injured. Jisoo’s reaction there was both cute and funny at the same time, and it made the scene even more memorable.
Overall, I strongly recommend watching this drama because it’s entertaining and keeps you engaged from beginning to end. It definitely won’t let you down.

A Surprisingly Fun Ride Despite the Hype-Busters
I went into Boyfriend on Demand with zero expectations—honestly, the negative reviews had me braced for a flop. But what can I say? I'm weak for handsome men (Seo In Guk, Chef's kiss), and this light, breezy K-drama hooked me right away. It's the perfect guilty-pleasure watch: fluffy rom-com vibes with just enough heart to keep you smiling through the episodes. It's packed with those classic K-drama tropes—awkward meet-cutes, over-the-top misunderstandings, and swoon-worthy chemistry—but it shines in quieter moments. What elevated it for me were the honest discussions on relationship struggles, like how people change (or don't) over time, the fear of losing yourself in love, and navigating modern dating chaos. These bits felt surprisingly real amid the silliness, sparking some "aha" moments without getting preachy.
Acting-wise, the leads nail the charm offensive, and the supporting cast delivers comic gold. Visually, it's all glossy Seoul aesthetics and cute outfits—pure escapism.

literally surpassed my wildest dreams ?
This was just so much fun to watch!I started it to watch in-between another show which was high on my watch list, but in the end I ran to this first!
I think above all they cast this perfectly💪🏻I mean I seriously do not believe Seo Kang Jun is real anyway, so playing an AI was perfect and their chemistry was next level! But her final choice, yeah he was perfect, it was the bottle tops on lined up bottles that did it for me 💯 and the complete green flag of a man and his AI to spice it up was a bonus!
It started out just cringingly wonderful, with each of these lovely men and honestly I was happy there, but her story was really nicely done, they pitched that perfectly, it was clean, simple and you could relate to this deeper and unexpected layer.
The comedy was on point and i howled at her new found athletic prowess ⛸️🥷
The office family, her friend, the AI sidekicks all added to the fun of this drama, we were spoilt as viewers.
I was left wanting more but at the same time I’m glad they didn’t distract from what for me was a simple, original piece of Romcom heaven.
I hoped it would be good, it surpassed my wildest dreams…literally 🤭

Lots of potential, Bad Execution
This isn't bad bad drama or anything. It is actually the most easygoing k-drama I have ever watched. It almost felt a little bit TOO easygoing I'm not gonna lie (but I think that's just because I'm used to watching dramas that piss me off 24/7 lolll). The pacing of this drama is really weird. For example, when the ML confesses it was really awful timing and felt very unauthentic because he had shown no direct interest in her previously. Also, I feel like they could have done more with the plot. The potential was there and the whole idea of virtual dating is really new and refreshing to see in a k-drama. but they didn't have much comparison between the two. It just felt like the FL did one thing and then the other instead of going back and forth between the two, which would have added more emotional and psychological depth (something the drama lacks). The first 4 or so episodes don't add any depth between the leads at all. It just showed the FL going from virtual bf to virtual bf and didn't show the FL and ML together as much as it should/could have. I wish there more more emotional conflicts then just "I like you but i'm scared to get with you because I don't want you to change and then we break up." It was mentioned a lot in the show and began to feel repetitive because that was essentially the main conflict within the whole show. I feel like then could've added more of a comparison between virtual dating and dating IRL. They did, but it should've been more because as I said earlier it would've added more depth. I only kept watching just to see how it was going to end, not because I was seriously engaged like how I am with other dramas. Besides, I knew that they were going to end up together in the end anyways. Also.,I feel like the first 2 episodes were good, but then around episode 4, it started to just make me think "okay so it's been 4 episodes and no romantic tension between the leads at all." Another thing, I feel like they could have made them ACTUAL enemies rather then him just pissing her off because he, unbeknownst to her (and the audience) likes her and she just gets easily irritated (low-key real tho). The casting is pretty good too. Although, I'm not gonna lie, the only reason I watched it is to see Lee Soo-Hyuk lolll, And at first, I just thought it was going to be a dump of a lot of famous people and not even be that good and sadly, I was kinda right. I'm not saying it's TERRIBLE, but it's definitely not the BEST drama I have ever watched. Definitely just something you watch to pass time. Was this review helpful to you?

Boyfriend on Demand: 3/09/2026 ~ 3/11/2026
I think the concept of this show is really unique and I love the way it was done. Especially cause recently dramas have felt like carbon copies of each other. Anyways the whole virtual reality was cute and honestly really cool to see a character who isn’t supposed to care about love fall victim to it. I also like how even though she knew it was a problem she still kept going back. Now for the lil plot point if the ML, that’s was amazing and usually I would find it corny but it was perfect. I’m also just a sucker for down bad MLs, like yes please that’s all I want in life. The romance was also really good and it was really fun and cute to see even though it too forever to take place between the actual main characters. However given the context of this show I think it is what allowed it to work and not feel like it was dragging out as much as it did.Was this review helpful to you?
