This series might have been rated higher if it was based solely off the Johan North storyline. I had so many issues with the first couple. From the actors to the storyline to the script. Wasn't sure if was the character design or the actor but the character Easter just wasn't all that likeable. The acting felt very unnatural, a lot of strange face-pulling, exaggerated sighing, dramatic whining, yup nope. And the character Hill was so one-dimensional, and because I've seen the actor's other work, it's hard to believe that it was poor acting. The chemistry between the two felt extremely scripted and awkward. This is cliche done poorly. yawns...

As for the second couple, they had a more interesting backstory, more natural dialogue, amazing chemistry and their script had a good mix of humour, drama and fluff. North grew on me over the course of his story and I was pleasantly surprised by the acting cos i had originally thought he was designed to be the "clown" and expected his acting to be over-the-top and cringey. This pair created so many heart fluttering moments with a good old enemies to lovers storyline, add on an interesting power imbalance with the debtor-creditor situation and a tsundere proud faced rich boy with a secret long term crush for a sassy, clueless, happy-go-lucky loser who has a ridiculous fear for ghosts and you've got me hooked. My two favourite scenes from this pair were when they reunited after Johan was a away for a few weeks, and when they were sitting next to each other in silence but in complete bliss during a basketball practice. This is cliche done right.

If you're looking for a fluffy series with a good tsundere rich boy-clueless poor dork dynamic I suggest skipping to the parts with Johan North i.e. episode 6 onward.

Fourever in my heart!

I loved this series so much. It was almost perfect. The pacing and editing was a bit hard to take at times, especially if you had the wrong expectations going into it. I watched it from day one and at times it was torture. Johan and North were really the shinning light of the series. I loved Hill and East too, but Jo and North were something else. I've been waiting for a good show that Bas was in and this was definitely it. Maxky came out of nowhere for me. I had never remembered him in anything I'd seen before, so he was new to me. It was a crazy experience, but I loved every minute of it. I hope Maxky and Bas continue to work together, if they want to. The BL powers that be would be crazy to let that ship go to waste. Truly lightning in a bottle.

I wish it was more consistent throughout and the dialog was almost there, but they reused a lot of lines. Those were some missed opportunities imo. However, it was only a handful of times I ever remember a couple outright saying how attracted they were to their partner. In most series it feels like they shy away from that for some reason. North even tells his mom was a handsome bf he's got lol. I love North's character so much.
I really hope they make a second season and include JohanNorth and HillTer. The whole cast is really great.

It's a drama about love lost and love reignited mixed together with the present and the past. It's only about 2 of the 4 novels. Hopefully we will be seeing the other 2 couples in season 2.

Honestly, this drama is probably an 8 or 9, but it made me feel like a 10. What a fun trip and well worth watching. See y'all for the next one.

? Johan and North Stole My Heart – Best BL Couple Ever!

Fourever You is a shining gem in the world of Thai BL, delivering a rare blend of emotional depth, strong character dynamics, and feel-good storytelling. After watching Perfect 10 Liners, I came into this series with high expectations—and it absolutely did not disappoint. Both shows are must-watches: cute, non-toxic, and filled with supportive friendships and an incredibly charming cast. I was so hooked that I binged all 17 episodes in just three sittings!

🌟 Story & Characters

The series follows four close friends—Easter, Hill, North, and Johan—as they navigate university life, personal growth, and romantic relationships. While it took me a bit to warm up to the first few episodes (especially with Ter/Easter, played by Earth), I gradually grew to appreciate his character more. I’ve loved Earth since My Only 12% and Until We Meet Again, but here his character felt a bit immature at first. That said, his friendship with North was a highlight—supportive, wholesome, and real. My only small critique is that Ter studies veterinary science, yet we never see him interact with animals or do anything related to his field—most of his screen time involves art classes, which feels like a missed opportunity.

Hill (Pond) is visually stunning and has undeniable screen presence. I really enjoyed his calm yet captivating portrayal and can’t wait to see him in his upcoming series Reset. As a couple, HillTer has great chemistry, and I would rate their pairing an 8/10.

💘 But the real stars for me are Johan and North. This couple completely stole the show. Johan (Maxky) is tall, handsome, smart (a med student!), and comes from wealth—he’s the full package. Paired with North (Bas), who is just adorable, genuine, and emotionally expressive, they became one of the best BL couples I’ve ever seen. I wholeheartedly agree with the many MDL and YouTube comments: JohanNorth is top-tier BL couple goals. Their dynamic felt mature, affectionate, and deeply romantic.
JohanNorth couple rating: 10/10 — perfect chemistry, perfect pacing, and emotionally fulfilling.

🚨 Important Viewing Tip: Watch the Uncut Version!

Please allow me to emphasize this: do not watch the cut version available on YouTube. I strongly recommend watching the uncut version. While it may only be a few minutes longer per episode, those minutes are crucial. They contain key emotional scenes that elevate the storytelling significantly.

Take Episode 15, for instance. After Johan returns from Boston, there's a heartfelt rooftop moment where he asks North to be his boyfriend. They hug and share two intense, passionate kisses—none of which are included in the YouTube cut. Having compared both versions myself, I can confidently say the uncut version offers a much richer and more emotionally complete experience. Don’t miss out on that depth—it’s well worth it.

🎬 Production & Final Thoughts

Studio Wabi Sabi continues to deliver. While Thai BL production budgets may not always match those of Korean dramas, the chemistry, storytelling, and emotional payoff are all there. The show is visually appealing, the pacing is smooth, and the soundtrack enhances the atmosphere beautifully.

Fourever You is the kind of series that sneaks up on you emotionally. It’s about friendship, love, and growing into the people you’re meant to be—with lots of heart along the way. I’m already counting down to Season 2, especially to see more of the other three couples.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves soft, romantic BLs with real emotional impact and a cast that feels like family. 10/10. 💫

A very boring series

The casting of the series is a 10 out 10. However, this is the only positive thing I can say. The series is primarily focused on the actors, and the storyline is nothing but filler for most episodes. It becomes tedious and repetitive, with a recurring theme of “I love you, but I can’t date you or be your boyfriend” for some inexplicable reason. The explanations provided are filled with holes, making it hard to follow.

I’m amazed that they managed to squeeze 17 episodes out of such a lackluster storyline. I couldn’t help but wonder if the book itself was even worth reading. There was a scene involving Ter’s character, who was whining in a phone call because Hill had gone missing. He said, “I’m not going to let you buy me snacks and such.” I was like give me a break. He was throwing a temper tantrum like an eight-year-old.

Finally, North and Jo are acting as if the world is ending because he had to go on a trip to Boston. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I understand that BL is supposed to be cute, but much of this series felt like it was made for a 13-year-old girl or something. It made me wonder what the difference is between the regular version and the uncut version. Is it just longer scenes?

I have low expectations for the second series with the other two couples

what to expect while watching the serie. the review may contain spolier.

this is my first time reviewing a BL serie.
for the first few episodes, it may feel draggy and boring but I think it's just because it is a novel adaptation and the screen writer did not do a phenomenal job transcripting it into the serie. Ter and Hill story line is not the best but it's watchable because the actors are doing a great job. After passing through those starting few episodes, I found myself captivated by all the characters and the story line of johan and North. The actors are verry good and their chemistry is unstoppable. I strongly recommend this because few Bl this days have actually good acting and a decent story line without all the s*x scenes to make them watchable. If you are looking for a good Bl that will make you escape your reality please go ahead and watch. This is a nice show.

Lightning in a Bottle, with a Few Rough Edges

Fourever You (Part 1) is a Thai BL series that explores love, loss, and second chances through the intertwined lives of Easter, Hill, North, and Johan. Adapted from two of the four novels by Howlsairy and directed by New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul and Ko Nantalit Tampacha, the show blends romance, drama, and light comedy with an easy, audience-friendly touch. It’s familiar territory for the genre, but it approaches its themes with enough sincerity to keep things engaging.

At its core are two contrasting love stories. Easter arrives at university hoping for a clean slate, only to come face-to-face with Hill, the ex he never truly moved on from. Their unresolved past sets up a classic second-chance dilemma that runs parallel to the more unexpected and entertaining bond between North and Johan. What begins as a debt-driven arrangement slowly turns into something warmer and more meaningful, and it’s here where the series really finds its rhythm.

The clear standout is North and Johan’s storyline. Bas Hatsanat Piniwat and Maxky Ratchata Pichetshote have effortless, magnetic chemistry that feels genuinely special. Their dynamic is playful yet grounded, adding charm, humour, and emotional weight to the series. While Pond Ponlawit and Earth Katsamonnat deliver solid, emotionally sincere performances as Hill and Easter, it’s Johan and North who consistently steal the spotlight. The friendship dynamics among the supporting cast, particularly within the medical student setting, also feel natural and warm, providing welcome levity and balance.

That said, the series isn’t without its growing pains. Hill and Easter’s arc can feel scattered at times, lacking the emotional cohesion and clarity that make Johan and North’s relationship so compelling. The early episodes also suffer from uneven pacing and editing, which may test viewers’ patience before the story truly settles. The subtitles could use refinement as well, as they occasionally miss the nuance of the original dialogue.

Still, Fourever You doesn’t aim to reinvent the BL wheel, and that works in its favour. It’s light, sweet, and comfortably watchable, focusing on character-driven relationships rather than shock value or gratuitous scenes. Johan and North’s romance delivers both heart and humour, while Hill and Easter’s story adds a layer of emotional nostalgia and unfinished business. The hint of a second season adapting the remaining novels is genuinely enticing.

In the end, Fourever You (Part 1) may technically sit at an eight or nine, but it leaves you feeling like you’ve watched a ten. It’s a reminder that a well-executed BL doesn’t need to be groundbreaking to be deeply enjoyable. If you’re after something heartfelt, charming, and easy to fall into, this series is well worth your time.

Incredible save by actors

How a mediocre college BL story can be lifted by great casting and superb acting.
This BL is an absolute gem. The casting of the couples (Pond & Earth and Maxky & Bas mainly) is so good that you almost forget the thin and basic story. Boy meets boy, boy falls in love with boy, boy can't be with boy but keeps thinking about him until they meet again and both fall in love. It's as old as time. But when this story is played out by couples with this level of chemistry and the atmosphere is this crackling with electricity, it's like magic happens. I will put this one one my re-watch list and eagerly wait for next season.

Same vibes as "Perfect 10 Liners" but less catchy.

PLOT: Ter, a veterinary student on a scholarship, is required to be on the Student Council, but he quickly realizes that the President is Hill (a medical student), on whom he had a crush in high school. He tries to avoid Hill, but Hill is determined to win him back (despite multiple love rivals). Around Hill are three attractive guys, including Johan, who is in love with North, Ter's best friend.

+++ I like Pond, Maxki, and Bas, but I don't connect with Earth (the actor who plays the MC, who only has two expressions: a beatific smile and Bubbles eyes :( ).
+++ The directing is OK, but the pacing is a bit slow, and the story is too simplistic: not much happens, apart from the discovery of what Hill and Johan did in secret to help those they loved.
+++ The OSTs are OK, nothing special.

### Lots of handsome actors, but that's not enough to make a good story.
### Ter and North's behavior щ(ಠ益ಠщ) (up to episode 7 and beyond) is deeply annoying: overacted, lots of facial expressions and grimaces, excessively childish behavior for 19-20 year olds.
### In the finale, all the problems are solved miraculously, and the familys are incredibly understanding.

=> Pure entertainment, and I don't understand the hype around this series.
*********************************************************************

+++ OSTs OK, sans plus.

щ(ಠ益ಠщ)
### Ds le final, ts les pbs sont résolus miraculeusement et les parents sont super compréhensifs.

=> Pure distraction, et je ne comprends pas l'engouement pr cette série.

THE FLUFFY BL I ALMOST SLEPT ON

I actually tried watching episode one of this series a while back but gave up pretty quickly. It’s one of those University BLs with a bunch of characters, and I thought it’d be too much to keep up with. But I ran out of shows to watch, so I came crawling back, lol.

I get that it’s a typical University BL, but it felt a bit immature for my taste at first. Still, it’s a nice break, especially after watching something super dark. Kinda like a light, fluffy antidote.

What really pulled me in was North and Johan’s backstory, it’s seriously interesting. I stayed for them, but Ter and Hill’s storyline started to grow on me too. I didn’t skip their parts since every character’s story ties into the main plot, and you’ll be lost if you do. Things really start to pick up around episode 4, and honestly, every time Hill looks at Ter, I get butterflies. Their chemistry is insane. 😍 And the jealousy scenes? It adds spice to the story. Also, the bar fight scene had me cracking up. 😂

The whole series is super fluffy, I caught myself smiling through most of it. But I still don’t get how Ter hasn’t figured out that Hill’s into him. Like… they kissed and almost hooked up back in high school! Is he pretending not to know, or is he just that clueless? 😅 There were a few awkward scenes I skipped, but overall, the show pulled through.

The series is a bit too long, and it’s frustrating that we barely got any screentime for the other couples (Tonfah & Typhoon and Thit & Dao). They’re supposed to be main characters too, and I kept waiting for their stories to unfold. Fingers crossed they get more focus in season 2.

When it comes to chemistry though, every couple delivers. Whoever did the casting deserves a raise. Acting-wise, everyone did a great job, but Bas (North) totally stood out. He’s naturally funny and so charming. North and Johan are just meant to be. Their personalities balance each other perfectly, Johan being all cold and distant, then secretly smiling when North isn’t looking? Too cute.

Honestly, I regret dropping this series the first time. North and Johan’s story had me emotional, and I was so happy when they finally got together after Johan secretly crushing on him for three whole years.

Fourever You will make you laugh, cry, and feel all the warm fuzzies. It actually reminded me of We Are by GMMTV, though that one has a bit more energy.

Cute Story

This BL really was amazing. Love the story and the concept. I really think the actors did really well with their performance. I laughed at the silly moments and also cried on the sad ones. This is a really nice story to watch and re-watch. I'm so glad that I was able to watch it before going into the second season. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but that is why they create different stories so we all can find something we like. I don't think there was anything not to like cause it's a story to make you feel good and enjoy your time.

It gets better at the end

I ended up watching this, because the squeal has been popping up in my social media feed a lot. I think the logic was that I'll first watch this and then move on to the next part. As a disclaimer I should probably say that I have not read the novel this and the sequel is based on, so my opinion is just based on the TV show.

I think in terms of overall plot this is a pretty average university themed Thai BL drama. I feel that I have seen what I saw in this series many times before, with all the student ceremonies, activities and clubs along with the side characters appearing during the show. A good set of main characters could have helped this a lot, but we got kind of half way there with that part.

I don't usually like to refer to other specific shows when discussing characters, but having watched the insane chemistry Pond's character had with the other lead in the show Reset, watching Hill's and Ter's romance was bit awkward. They are cute, but.... well just cute. It could be that with different kinds of character castings Pond's and Earth's romance on screen could have more chemistry to it, but with this show it feels very superficial even if they try to give the romance a proper background plot. I would like emphasize that for me good chemistry doesn't mean that the couple has to necessarily have a lot of spicy scenes, it can be built with other means.

The second pairing with Johan and North did get me to watch this in the end, even if with them it was initially bit slow. North as an individual character is so far my favorite, quite unique character in the genre all together. I would recommend watching the two special episodes they got if you like this specific pairing from the show.

Overall considering the contents of the show, this could have been condensed into less episodes and bringing in Johan's and North's storyline earlier would have helped the watching experience. Ter's and North's friendship is something fun to follow . As a side note it did make me laugh how quickly these couples go from just dating to moving in together, yes I know it's a fictional show, but still I found the speed comedic (even if otherwise the show was at times slow in progression).

Do you need to watch this to watch the Fourvever you part 2: No. If you find the main couple of the sequel more interesting you can watch it directly, you don't miss out.
Re-watch value: the Johan and North parts maybe sometime.
Overall vibe: It's okay, but not very memorable.

unpopular opinion

Never reviewed before, but I felt I needed to say that all stars I'm giving are for Johan and North. I couldn't watch the Hill and Tar part. I never fast-forward before, but I did all the T&H parts after the third episode.
I noticed lots of younger audiences like that couple, but I really couldn't. I'm not even able to say whether it was Tar's personality or the actor, but everything felt so exaggerated. I love Johan and North's story, and I'm so interested in all the other side stories as well.
