More Time, One More Chance

It was more than just wonderful. At first, I didn't quite grasp it, but later I understood—and I cried so much. I really wanted them to end up together, but honestly, when I thought about it, the male lead was a bit selfish—or perhaps just a strange character. He was deeply preoccupied with the world and the cosmos, far more than he was with the female lead. Even when she cried in front of him, he was focused on the rocket and ignored her distress; he would dodge her confessions and run away, thinking he was unworthy or that the situation was awkward. I think he realized he loved her the right way, but at the wrong time. Clinging to the past is futile unless you actively engage with it—meaning, he should have put in the effort for her, searched for her, and strived for something beyond himself. She was truly exhausted by him; these were memories spanning from when she was 12 and 18, and now she is 30. That kind of dynamic just doesn't work for someone like her—someone who wants a comfortable, bright life
She speaks to me in a smooth, friendly manner. She has come to view their shared memories as an integral part of her life experience—moving past the fact that he was once harsh toward her. I’m not sure why his personality changed so drastically in high school; he became very quiet and acted as though he didn't understand her indirect confessions of love. I really loved the atmosphere—it was wonderful. The characters aren't perfect; they are flawed, just like real people. Take the guy, for instance: he has a good job at a company, goes about his daily routine—talking, eating, and doing everything else—yet deep down, he doesn't truly know what he wants or if he is actually satisfied with himself. Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts on the movie while listening to its theme song, "One More Time, One More Chance."
