Fantastic episode! The pair go to see Haruki's mum. She comments on her oldest child getting beat up and how his dad was the same, but strong. Minase is minded to say something but Haruki's there and he doesn't. He envies Haruki seeming close to his mother. But if they were that close, would he not confide? Does she really have no idea what's going on? The relationship intensifies sexually. The couple have a symbolic moment getting wet (baptism?) in the sea.The separation from holding hands when they return is painful. Yet Minase had suggested Haruki move in, Haruki declines - loyalty to his dad, fear he'll hit Minase. Majima is cross that Haruki isn,'t interested in meeting a girl ( having laughed at his friend's virginity) or causing trouble. Haruki's loyalty and inability to stand by goes too far. Why go round to chide the gang for shoplifting? Why take the blame for anything Majima does? Majima's words about the domestic violence show he knows and has no compassion. Jin is a 'witness' because Haruki was on a call to him at the time, and Jin was at the store. Will he dare to speak up? Will anyone want to listen or believe him? Haruki WAS getting stronger with Jin - he felt he could turn to study, escape his father. For Jin this turn of events is like an insult but also telling him to stay away from Haruki.
i don't get why Hirukawa is sacrificing himself like this, with his mother now with his friend. WHY?!? what is he to blame that his friend is a moron?!? that same friend insults, laughs & hits him. yet he takes the blame?!? & sorry the only thing Minase can say is, "...i though u would be decent..." - why, what he do wrong? this was frustrating on so many levels. **************************Minase is passive, just sitting on the side lines not wanting to get involved or do anything, the fact that he invited Hirukawa to his home was shocking, but since then he does the bear minimum when it comes to someone he cares for. i get not knowing what is best, not wanting to do something that would hurt Hirukawa on the long run. but he always just sit around waiting - ***********************************************************************************************************************************************i had a feeling Majima would hurt Hirukawa some way, but i thought he would find out that Hirukawa was with Minase & that would be the catalyst to Hirukawa's destruction. *********************************************************************************************************************************************i know this a romance & if u put everything else to the side, the chemistry between the guys is great, they even good for each other (when they in a world of their own). but when reality encroaches then i think Hirukawa needs to cut ties with everyone & put himself before anyone else.
that ending . . . & not in a good way ,like this entire conflict is them wanting to do things they did not bother setting up & then we hear the nost contrived reasons being shouted at each other because they don’t know what tf they’re talking about or what they’re even doing ;,this is by far their clunkiest acting yet & not just because they/8/7’re virgins because it doesn’t have the intentional awkward★ness of a performer in character it genuinely feels like watching actors who don’t know what to do in a show directed by people who don’t know what to do ,.inase is also ridiculously passive in this episode ,some scenes are very good like the punch pincinc where we just focus on bus dace & watching as he tries to figure out if he wants to stay a btsrander or a true lover ,hirukawa asking minase to kiss him ,hirukawa leading the beach detour ,these are good moments for him to be passive but he is our main character 。does he not have anything to say when they are alone ?does he just like hirukawa just because & can only act when it is out of convenience for a scene 歐?with that being said i genuinely wnjoyed watching the first half of this episode ,there is some great shots & while the performance gets scuffed the lighting in the kiss was beautiful ;but like does horikawa’s friend like him ?did he steal booze to impress hi. ?what exactly is this co±delendant relationship that had him lashing out the way he did because none of this gets answered in the show in a meaningful way to make you care about how impactful this was ,I’m genuinely watching this like who gives af ?I’m mad at the way they write minase I’m mad at the way they throw around hirukawa i hate that there is nothing else to care about when another character ino screen because everything is so flat & caricaturizerd
So that happened..😋 was it only me or was it a bit awkward with hands not knowing where to go🤭The 2nd half was so sad. When you want to - change for good, but the world simply doesn't let you 😶 it was really a trashy move o-n the friend to hold Hirukawa back like that. I hope Minase just doesn't give up on him.
