A Wicked Mess... Respectfully!
I know this one might be a little controversial because we’re talking about Daou and Offroad, but this series just wasn’t a favorite for me. I don’t know if I went in with really high expectations, if the show was overly hyped, or if I just expected more because the main leads are such a power couple. But overall, the story felt boring at times — it kept repeating the same beats: the brothers’ power struggle, the father who doesn’t care, and the same emotional cycles over and over. I honestly feel the script could’ve been much stronger. The actors, as always, did a great job portraying their characters, even though some of them lacked real growth or development. And shoutout to Tongtong, I really liked his character. At some point, I was more invested in Jet and Park’s relationship. Their chemistry was so palpable through the screen. I wish the show had given us their backstory: Where does Park’s devotion toward Jet come from? Does he love him like a brother, a lover, a friend? No doubt he cherished him deeply.
Another thing that bothered me was the so-called “father.” He is literally the root of why the siblings hate or resent one another. And I say “resent” because there were moments where it felt like the rivalry between the brothers was actually jealousy planted by Jet’s mother and reinforced by a father who refused to be a real dad to Pheem.
And then there’s Risa… girl, what is your actual problem? You clearly have the brains to manage a company. If your dad doesn’t see it, prove him wrong and go start your own business. But okay, I get it — it’s all for the plot.
I will say, for me, Pheem was mean all the way until the end. He put Than through so much, despite constantly saying he was done hurting him. Right now, in the Thai BL world, he holds the spot for the most toxic main character. Again, the actors did a good job, but something in the story just lacked overall.
For me, Daou and Offroad’s chemistry definitely carried the show.

Where it all went wrong....spoiler heavy post series review
How did this even get greenlit? What a complete waste of a stellar cast. The real failure here was the script: cartoonish plotting, endless fake-outs, and character arcs that made zero sense.Offroad’s Pheem should have stayed the menacing black flag he was in the first three episodes. He should have used Than and discarded him (without yet another fake death!), setting Than up to take him down and reclaim his badge. The moment Pheem shot Than in the back, their relationship potential should have ended. Instead, we got redemption after redemption, each more nonsensical than the last. I found myself wishing they had killed him off, for real, sooner.
The script had more holes than Swiss cheese, and the cast’s talent far outmatched what they were given. It is infuriating that this script got funded while so many good ones never make it to a pitch. And truly, there is no excuse for any agent to read this and think, “Yes, let’s send this to D/O.” without major revisions. The premise is there, the cast is there, the story simply wasn't.
Then there is the secondary couple, Chet and Phak, who were criminally underdeveloped. Waiting for them to finally connect romantically was the only thing keeping me going, and they fumbled that ball as well.
D/O didn't carry this the way they should have, not because they lack talent (they have improved!), but because the screenplay needed a better treatment. Frankly, they have more chemistry on their social media than they ever got to show on screen in this mess.
They need to vet their scripts better, find a new agent, and take this as a lesson learned. This was a joke.

Thai Soap opera style BL?
Holy mother of cliché moments, I love the two leads but out of all the bodyguard X businessman, protector X prorectee love stories, and enemies to lovers genre in general, this has a huge amount of cliché moments that are too much to turn a blind eye upon, and this is only for the BL part.Because the show literally gives you nothing else to look for, no story, no characters worthy, no mystery or crime to be solved, just nothing.
I have to say first that the cast were great, the two leads have a great chemistry and I've been a fan since LIT, I'm sure everyone shipped each sibling with his bodyguard, and somehow all were fantastic, be that as it may, this is the only enjoyable thing about the show, and Story-wise, it's the worst.
The story was the weakest, and I'm generally not a fan of soap operas but I could stand watching some of them if it's somehow enjoyable or has some interesting things going, and I didn't know that this was one tbh, I just thought it's a normal action bl.
I mean the whole Bodyguard backstory was too much, Of course we have this multi billionaire MC, rude and broody that has a really bad encounter with the very poor Cinderella man ML, an unfortunate one mind you, where he throw some cash at him to solve the issue but the proud and dignified full of self-respect poor man refuses to take them then both of them gives e/o some life lessons, while staring deeply into eachother 's eyes - In Short each calls the other an idiot - then oh wow the poor guys saves the MC from danger and damn why is he so sexy now, time to make him my bodyguard and fall for him because the way he throw a punch makes me hard!! And omg! You're naked wearing only a towel??? I will "accidentally" fall on you ouuuuuuppppssss!!! ....
And since this is a soap opera, now everything HAS TO BE connected, all characters are connected and of course the ML saved the MC when he was a child by giving him sweets or something, so now both of them has to collaborate and expose the bad guys while saving the MC from his childhood trauma in the process, and everything surely ends with faking death, knock knock, wake up dead man, he's back from the grave.
We're still doing this ... In 2025 ... Alright...see why I'm pissed ~~
And for the sake of my sanity, I'll not talk about the funny shooting sequences, with flashlight bullets nor the Jackie Chan style acrobatic fighting scenes that only help making the actors look cool instead of being realistic, and I'll definitely not mention the plot holes and unrealistic everything.
But I'll definitely talk about the intimate flirty moments that are completely out of place and the extremely unreasonable hate and animosity between the characters, why? No idea, I know the reason but that much hate is just unbelievable.
If you hate someone THAT much, and you are that rich, just hire a sniper! Easy, clean and Gets the job done with one bullet and no traces, apparently the idea of a hitman didn't reach Thailand yet.
Also, the older brother irritated me, he keeps exploding like a firecracker every 10 seconds, mate how can you lead a company with that temper, just calm down a bit, it's not good for business, if you were my son I'd never leave anything in your hands with this temperament, maybe if you behave like a normal person for a while you will get to rule the world and whatever ~~ but the whole Queen maleficent behaviour and facial expressions don't help your case, it only makes you look more like an idiot.
I mean, after all I had Daou's captain Tsubasa haircut every other scene and his drunk antics to soothe the pain of watching this story and maybe make it more bearable but still ... I won't get the time I wasted on this show back.
Overall I think this is a let down after LIT, maybe I prefer DaouOffroad in more lighter BL than this.

end of the series
The first episodes were really good, but I think the ending of the series wasn’t good or logical. In my opinion, it would’ve been better if Peem had died at the end. The love between Tan and Peem isn’t logical at all, and if we think realistically, nobody would fall in love with someone who shot them and chose power over them. Anyway, I still like this couple, and I hope they have better series in the future. The first episodes were really good, but I think the ending of the series wasn’t good or logical. Just some opinions and rants =)
I actually gave this a 8/10, but for my review im giving a lower from overall average.8/10 was how much i was into the show, and 7.5 well includes music rewatch value and other stuff.
Thought I leave a positive review since i saw alot of negative ones XD im a softie. (sometimes)
The moment i started this show: reminds me of kinnporche. Its the Bodyguard & Employer troupe.
i'll be honest and say it out, I started this for the eyecandies. the main couple was so cute at other series so I tried the series out. BEWARE: contains toxic family, family violence/ abuse, drug abuse.
Before watching, I skimmed thru some reviews about it and was prepared to dropped it. haha
glad i didn't it's actually quite a not-bad watch.
I was getting bored of some drama i was starting (watched 1 ep and skip/pause to resume later) and decided to give this a go..
the plot was good enough to kept me going watching it all in one sitting. (normally i start i finish it all in one sitting unless i was distracted or was not my MOOD OF GENRE at the time of the watch XD)
REVIEW: I can't say the action is perfect, but is sufficient enough and good enough compare to WAY MANY moreee other thai dramas that makes me cringe, sometimes I rather they just take the position shot or headshots, but this was WAY OKAY compare to some. So I don't really know why i read a few complains here and there.
Like, one of the weird action scene i could think of right now is revamp the undead. I'll just forward them LOL. but im not an expert so yeah can't judge. I like how the plot goes the way i mostly predicted as well such as miss heir will defi double cross others just like your typical antagonist who likes to use people to rid of others then come back to bite their butts.
I also like how their lovestory progress as well, like example after getting lied to and shot, he left him, pheem also tried to get his forgiveness, but when failed he gave him space. & they protect each other even when they were angry at each other. Until when pheem decides to leave to protect than, than then decides he rather forgive him then lose him. i feel like the story give the correct level of flow so it kept me watching.
Not too slow, not too fast plot ongoing, love problems, and what they introduce they solved, no unanswered questions.
EXCEPT: when they watching TV of the ML's family death: my thoughts were ML+GUYS watching the tv... everyone died, except someone's HUSBAND who literally had the rights to everything that family had right? O_O hahaha so what do u mean the heritance ended there XD
ENDING: I actually really thought they would left it at a open-end for the protagonists, lost body and all, all the antagonist died... and i was actually quite okay with it. (I prefer happy ending tho) but for this show i felt like it was right amount of tragic, not too much... but he was bought back alive, cliche.... LOL but oh well the awkward comeback alive but I don't tell my husband troupe =3= a little dumb. BUT BUT since their cute flirt in the end got me with cuteness. i'll accept that ending haha
"Ex died with inheritance" "that ex ur new husband" -flirt was satisfying (im easy like that)

Excellent BL series!!
Despite what anyone says, this was one of the best BL series I've ever seen! Romance, action, dysfunctionality, toxicity, definitely a worthless father, worthless brother, worthless sister, excellent plot and just an all-around excellent BL series! I really enjoyed this series, yet so many people gave it such bad reviews and I thought it was excellent. I would recommend this BL to anyone who was looking for something a little different as the acting is great and Dao and OffRoad's chemistry; is on point! Typically, I enjoy a spicier BL, but once I started watching this one, I couldn't stop watching it; I actually ended up binge watching it. I'm writing this review based on how I feel about the series and I know other people write the reviews on how they feel about the series, but I recommend watching the series for yourselves and then decide for yourself if it's something that you're interested in. Don't let someone's bad review keep you from watching a series that you may actually like because of their opinion. My opinion is this BL deserves a watch. I found it very enjoyable; it's just my opinion though. Was this review helpful to you?
I can't stop laughing, and you're definitely meant not to laugh
I just started this series, I'm only on episode 3. I saw all the reviews that criticize this for being a terrible soap opera and that's exactly what I needed. From the undeserved romance to bad acting to the terrible shooting scenes, please get drunk or high and watch this, it's so perfect for shutting your brain off. It also doesn't hurt that the MLs are hot asf, make a very cute coupleEDIT: Please, it gets more and mroe ridiculous. My favorite thing has to still be the terrible gun "shooting" CGI, never gets old. The ending doesn't even make any sense, it's golden

Lies, lies and private revange leading to...
This studio rarely disappoints me... in terms of “action” lackorns, we're usually well served!Let's offer some positive criticism for these. I've often found that I have differing opinions and feelings about many average series. It must be said that not all viewers are looking for the same thing in a series.
For my part, I look for series that mix several genres in just the right proportions. A beautiful chemistry between couples, a touch of romanticism, good pacing... an interesting and fast-paced story with interesting characters.
Here I found my “perfect” balance of tones and emotions that I look for every time : we go through everything: anger, humor, frustration, sadness, gentleness, tenderness, violence, with some passages being harsh, others serious, and others lighter...
Even if there are some rather common elements in terms of plot/story here we have a quite well-crafted plot with wists and turns that are fairly well paced (never dull): you never get bored and I didn't find it dragging (the series is just the right length: not too long or too short). This is a huge plus! Because the problem of pacing in this kind of series is very common. OF COURSE it is perfectly objective!
I was also pleasantly surprised by the couple portrayed: I was expecting a more “mature” romance, I would almost go so far as to say toxic (well, their relationship was built on a unilateral lie), but no: we have a very sweet, very cute couple, an almost too naive love that feels very “school life” and/or “first love,” which is quite surprising because it contrasts greatly with the overall mood of the series. They really have great chemistry, and their relationship is frankly touching amid all the violence (gunshots, fights, blood...). Their looks, their tears, their smiles, their kisses: everything is perfect in that regard.
The characters are more or less interesting (I'm glad there are also women and that they have an important role, which isn't always the case in BL series, go figure).
Within the hospital, all the characters (especially the family) are gray (some more than others): between a totally volatile and violent father, an opportunistic sister, and an angry brother who is probably disturbed and paranoid ( felt that Jet's character was really overplayed). However, I kinda liked the subtleties of his relationship with his bodyguard, Park: you can tell that the writers didn't dwell on it (which is a shame but understandable, as it would have been a “duplicate” of the main couple).
Obviously, it's Pheem's development that carries the whole series: a character we love and “hate” at first (from episode 1, I thought to myself: “He's a real bastard, but I kinda like him anymay”, ‘cause of course he may have “his reasons”): a true manipulator and unscrupulous schemer who will stop at nothing to get his revenge, at the expense of others, hidden beneath his angelic features. He does have a “softer” and more mischievous side, but it's definitely hard to trust him at first.
Blinded by revenge for two-thirds of the series, he makes a series of decisions (particularly regarding Than) that we know he will regret. We just wait for the moment when everything comes to the surface: and although it is gradually obvious that he is “changing” through his contact with Than, it takes him a long time and, despite everything, he still shoots himself in the foot at a crucial moment.
To illustrate: /!\ spoiler
The scene where Pheem shoots Than is quite powerful: we think until the very end that he's not going to do it, but no one is surprised when he actually does. We suspect that the act is somewhat “desperate”: his “selfishness” coupled with his fear of losing one of the only two people who care about him (we too often forget his aunt, the goat) take over.
At that moment, he reaches the point of no return and his “true colors” resurface after a whole episode of tenderness, where the couple has officially come together, where we think that this is the right moment for him to “change.” His mistakes catch up with him and in just a few minutes his lies come back to haunt him. Karma? Not exactly. Justice? Perhaps.
If he is going through a rough patch, you can't say he doesn't deserve it. He's just “reaping what he sowed.” It was satisfying that no one “forgave” him so quickly.
However, he does experience a REAL redemption arc after and during “the breakup.”
Than, on the other hand, clearly embodies the pure hero: an honest, loyal, gentle, and kind character, but far from being a fool, and above all, one who doesn't let himself be pushed around. He makes all the decisions we (as viewers) want him to make. Honestly, this guy is an absolute GOAT (too perfect for this world but perfect for Pheem). He's going to suffer a lot, and let's be honest, Pheem clearly doesn't deserve him (for three-quarters of the series): we know it, he knows it, Pheem knows it, everyone knows it (it's often like that in fiction), but he has the merit of having been able to change the latter for good...
To the detriment of his career: I was very disturbed that this point, which was a central pillar in the series, was literally pushed aside. I don't know if it was intentional (the moral of the story?) or just a hole/oversight in the script. In any case, it's even more sad for Than, whose personality is partly built on that.
The soundtracks were not bad . Of course the series has a lots of minor flaws, but honestly, I had a great time watching it.
