solid couple dynamics (uncut version)

Overall: I loved the communication and chemistry between the leads in the beginning but there was some nonsense writing. This is based on the book with the same title that I haven't read and I reviewed the series based on its own merits. 12 episodes about an hour each. Aired uncut on WeTV https://wetv.vip/en/play/u23sfk7obd6z87j/k4101c5i4r4-EP01%3A_Knock_Out and the first 2 episodes are on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0xfFEdKNq0

Content Warnings: murders, torture, beaten up, violence, blood, slap, punches, grief, manipulation, drugging, kidnapping, non con touching/molestation (flashing lights beginning of ep 8 until around 8 min)

Watch Suggestions (to focus on sweet/steamy moments and take out most content warnings but a ton of plot will be missed)
- start episode 1 at 44:30
- episode 2 skip 31:45-34:20
- watch episode 3
- episode 4 skip 13 (keep watching if you enjoy boxing)-28:10
- episode 5 skip 12:50-27:30, 36:20-42:30 and end at 1hr2min
- episode 6 skip 39:10-48 and end at 55:55
- episode 7 watch the beginning to 3:30 (keep watching if you enjoy boxing) and 6-6:40
- episode 8 watch 23-25:30 and 46:45-49
- episode 9 watch 33:30-35:30
- start episode 10 at 13
- episode 11 watch 3:50-14:05 and 19-25
- episode 12 watch 5:10-5 and 36-end

What I Liked
- chemistry/tension
- communication (falls apart later though)
- set up the characters and plot well
- that Keen was not a damsel in distress, he actively tried to solve his problems
- excellent massages
- symbolism with the handcuffs
- caring moments
- intimacy, the check in in episode 5
- finale wrapped things up pretty well
- production value

Room For Improvement
- a ton of nonsense/because the writer said so stuff like a character wouldn't sell his car but was okay possibly dying if he didn't sell his car, a diuretic wouldn't work like that (maybe it was a translation mistake), a journalist just went into an active crime scene and what was the end goal because anything collected likely can't be used in court, why didn't a character say anything to another character earlier in episode 8 or apologize right away, there weren't any security cameras on the premises after they've had problems, the dad staying behind etc.
- too many antagonists, I get that it was supposed to be a bit twisty but watching all at once would have been easier, there were a ton of characters and it was difficult to keep track of all the baddies
- started the series with a flash forward but about 18 minutes later that scene happened, which doesn't annoy me as much
- episode 3 talking about her weight
- the slap in episode 5
- love rival/jealousy

A promising start that devolves into pure hot mess

I really wanted to like this one— but alas, it disappointed me. Knock Out starts out really strong. The set-up is done well, and the backdrop of the show is interesting. I even like the two main characters; Thun and Keen have an interesting dynamic.

HOWEVER, I think the biggest weakness of the show is that the leads get together way too soon. There's absolutely no courtship or flirting between them. They meet for the first time in the 1st episode and move on to having s** by the 4th episode. This makes everything that comes after very slow and repetitive. I wish they would have put in some amounts of push and pull between the leads. Because the romance plot wraps up so quickly, the rest of the show feels repetitive as well. Thun fights character 1, wins or loses, gets hurt, he and Keen do skinship. Thun fights character 2, wins or loses, gets hurt, he and Keen do skinship. On and on it goes. Oh, and there are WAY too many villains in the show. Basically, everybody besides Thun and Keen are bad/outright villanous in some way.

This is particularly disappointing because the actors definitely have a lot of physical chemistry. They give the NC scenes their all, and there are sparks. But a relationship is more than just physical sparks. There has to be something we feel when the two look at each other as well. And because the characters are not super deep and get together quickly, this aspect is entirely missing. I was just left feeling a major meh with this one.

wetv you're doing the things????

this will be a short review, after Top Form (at least for me) Wetv has been doing its thing...this has the potential to blow up. after two episodes I'm liking it so far and the chemistry is definitely there, with actors im not quite familiar with, they're definitely not lacking in the acting/chemistry department, but also an experienced boxing and muay thai athlete?! you cannot mess this up.....so keep this up wetv and I'm definitely coming back with probably an even better/detailed review. no mess up here!!!

not enough romance, too many characters and Keen saves the world...

I wish I could like this show more, but I can't. The romance part was over after 4 episodes without romance in the remaining episodes, besides few of the side couples. But this is the point of a BL imho. There are too many "baddies" in one show, even the men who should be good are bad. And the best acting was done by the bad overlord and the trainers son which is also a big minus in my book. While the MLs are pleasent to look at, their acting is medicore at best.

It started strong but the more episodes the more it disolved in a hot mess. But Keen has the answers for everything and he saves the world or so this series made you believe. So you can say it's more Anime style than based on reality. The only plus were the fighting scenes, so the actors really did train for that.

Overall, I'm disappointed but at least it's not a really bad show which coming from WeTV can also happen. So for the fangirls there are lots of NC scenes which are quite tasteful staged but the writing is quite weak. So, if you like you can watch it and if not, that's ok too :)

I Dove In With Low Expectations - But It Knocks Me Out

I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy this series at first, since I’m not usually into sports-themed dramas — but the first episode hooked me right away. It was intense, fast-paced, and way beyond what I expected. Every scene kept me glued. Not a single dull moment.

Knock Out isn’t your typical light, feel-good watch. It dives into violence, injustice, and betrayal. Thun starts off as a hard character to connect with — he’s clearly burdened by emotional scars from his past. Meanwhile, Keen's father died in a painful way and Ken struggles financially, which makes his character miserable. But somehow, despite their circumstances, they find comfort and safety in each other. Their bond feels electric. There’s a magnetic pull between them that’s impossible to ignore. And let’s be real — the sexual tension is off the charts, and the NC scenes? Absolutely scorching. 🥵

The side couple has wonderful chemistry too, but there’s barely any relationship build-up and no backstory— they pretty much just hook up out of nowhere. 😂

For me Keen shines throughout the entire episodes. It looks like he is the only main character. He solves almost everything and lead others.

This is the kind of series where the villain gets under your skin in a superlative form— the type that attacks in sneaky, underhanded ways. From the start, I already knew that man was never up to any good and I found myself pausing the screen several times because the action and thrill had me on edge.

The pacing is fast, but not messy — it’s packed with twists and turns that keep you engaged. The cast did an amazing job, even the antagonists delivered strong performances. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the soundtrack is perfectly matched to every scene.

Don’t let the negative reviews sway you. Watch a few episodes first and judge it for yourself — especially if you enjoy darker BLs with action and depth.

Overall, Knock Out is a gripping blend of sports, action, and romance. It’s polished, intense, and backed by solid character development. Definitely worth the watch.

PUNCH KNOCK DOWN!!!

Wow this got SPICY. I was definitely not expecting that last episode to just hit us with saucy scene after saucy scene. That was crazy...but anyway! This series was a very exciting surprise at how solid it was! Loved the character dynamics, loved the open communication between our leads. The plot (although slightly convoluted) was very interesting to follow. I would love to see Gunner and Nice paired up in the future, what a strange turn Nice's career has gone though. I saw him in Boys Planet so I didn't expect this series to be so spicy! I am not complaining though at all XD

It's Fine

It's a fine series. Lots of beautiful men that are shirtless half the time fucking around and being beautiful, so, this series works perfectly.

Let's Dive In.

Knock Out comes from the same company as I Feel You Linger in The Air, so I automatically knew that the budget would be budgeting. And I wasn't wrong. The production value of this series is number one on the charts for me. Also along with the cinematography which I appreciated changed moods depending on the setting. Bravo!

As for the rest of the series: eh. I'm a slow-burn girlie to the core, and this was so good up until episode 5 and then everything just happens in a flash between both couples. Then the yearning stopped and it was just a bunch of kissing and fucking for no reason, but of course they had to add it. I don't care for either couple much, but I do love seeing Guide shirtless and in heat, my goodness, that man is gorgeous.

Didn't care about the stakes of the series. Basically skipped all the shit with Thun's dad and the bad people and blah, blah, blah. The fighting was good though, even the boxing, everything was believable.

Overall, just an okay series. I think this is more for people that like action-packed series, but lots of stuff was going on that I didn't really care about, so a lot of skimming and skipping was happening too.

Ratings:

Story: 5/10 - eh. it was okay. Romance were okay. Story was okay. Guide was Perfect.

Acting: 8.5/10 - Good. Nothing overly amazing, but good.

Music: 5/10 - didn't pay attention to it.

Recommendation Value: 6.6/10 - Shirtless men, so yeah, of course I will recommend this, Story-wise, probably not.

I love how open they were about their relationship. This series includes lots of +18 scenes but its amount didn't bothered me, they were all loving. Definitely not a series that I'd prefer to rewatch but I literally watched it episode by episode since day one. Never got bored, never found any little details unnecessary. Everything fits so well and it was hella enjoyable. Main leads are young, full of passion and lots of courage. They really went through though things at such a young age. There were some rebellious acts for sure but in the end it was one of the parts that made this story realistic as they're teenage boys after all. Their story never gets boring and even there's some parts you can easily guess it also manage to surprise in some ways. I also loved the chemistry between couples as well as their acting. And mmmm especially the last fifteen minutes(from nc to cheesy) was ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

A Tale of the Unbelievable

This had the potential to be a decent series but in true Thai fashion dived into the unbelievable and absurd. Put drama and romance aside, it should also fall into the realm of fantasy. How on this side of sanity can this entire series be anything else but a long fanciful dream?

A young adult Keen, who recently lost his father, steps into the world of thai boxing to conquer all boxing crimes, brings down the biggest criminal behind it, solves mostly all situations leading to the criminals downfall, and ultimately his actions bring fortune to his circle. By the end, it would not have been a shock if he was elected as the minister's replacement as only he seems to be the best problem solver. Well, he and his female friend, a reporter. She alone could find the clues concerning the untimely deaths as the entire police police force was corrupted, or so we are to believe. Save one officer was shown to be of assistance. A corrupt minister, forced to eat poison at the end with no blow back. A convicted ex boxing promoter, an aide to the disgraced minister for more than a decade, is given less than a year in prison for assisting the police. A convicted ex boxer who was part of the minister's regime is given lifetime in jail. Can anyone spot the disparity here? Keen asking his new roommate Thun to bathe him as his wound stings if it gets wet (must be a Thai thing) to him buying back his childhood home at the end, was too much. The great escape deserves a worthy mention. Really? There is more that can be said but I won't.

Let's put the script down for a second and delve into the acting. Tears in abundance and either bland or shocked expressions. The interractions of the two couples felt natural for the most part and whatever that was bordering on bad or unrealistic, I will attribute to the script. Gunner and Nice worked well together but some more acting lessons are needed. Itt's tone though it fit his role became a bit irritating. Side characters were fair to okay but no wow moments worth mentioning. Tuck and Gap above the rest in delivery.

As stated before, this is not the worst but it could have been so much better. Script and direction. Script re-writing or remove the nc and market it for 13+. The director used was the same for Jack & Joker. So he's familiar with the unbelievable. He also did I Feel You Linger In The Air, Lovely Writer and others that were popular. I'll cut him some slack. If you are in need of a long fanciful tale of a young boy's fearlessness, give it a watch.

Surprisingly Predictable

Overall, I thought Knockout was a solid show. I really enjoyed the boxing plotline, and I'm glad there was a good evil villain. However, I felt that none of the twists were all that surprising, and that I was never fully invested in the story because of it.

When Keen (Nice) loses his father, his father's friend tells him that if he ever needs help, he should call him. Soon after, Keen learns of his father's debt and the debt collectors won't leave him alone. In a desperate moment, he calls his dad's friend, who sends Thun (Gunner) to help. Keen learns of his dad's friend's boxing gym, and starts staying there along with Thun. Keen becomes the gym's promoter and starts setting up fights for Thun. The two develop a relationship while navigating the debt collectors and other drama in the boxing world.

This show would've been better if I had waited until it all came out to watch it I think. The twists just weren't quite interesting enough to keep me fully invested. That being said, I really enjoyed the couples in this show and thought it was a fun watch. If you like boxing and action, it's worth giving this show a chance.

A Total Knockout! The Best Thai BL of 2025

Knock Out completely knocked me out (pun intended)! Hands down, my favourite Thai BL of the year. It’s the perfect blend of raw emotion, sizzling romance, and heart-pounding action.

This was my first time seeing Gunner (Than) as an actor, and wow—he’s so young, talented, and absolutely magnetic on screen. Pairing him with the adorable Nice (Keen) was pure magic. Their chemistry feels so natural and refreshing, and every interaction between them oozes with both tenderness and tension. 💙

One of the things I loved most is how the show balances fighting and cuteness. The emotional tension, sweet moments, and couple dynamics are all so well done. Not only are Than and Keen amazing together, but the second and third couples also completely stole my heart. Every week, that one hour flew by like minutes—I was hooked from start to finish.

And can we talk about those boxing scenes? They were incredible! Every punch and kick felt real, with action that was beautifully choreographed and taken seriously. It’s so rare to find a BL that blends romance and physical intensity this well.

The series also doesn’t shy away from NC scenes—they’re hot, intense, and shot with care. Add in a gripping plot and well-developed characters, and you’ve got a show that serves everything: romance, drama, action, and plenty of eye candy.

✨ Knock Out isn’t just a BL—it’s a knockout in every sense. Emotional, intense, and unforgettable.

The Series That Couldn't Land a Punch

I didn’t like the way Knockout started. It failed to grab my attention right away and lacked a clear direction. The plot felt aimless, which made it hard to get invested from the beginning.

The main couple, Keen and Than, got together way too quickly. There was no real build-up or tension, so I found it hard to care about their relationship. Keen's debt storyline also felt off—Than clears Keen’s debt after knowing him for only a few days, which didn’t seem believable. Then, the boxing match plot quickly became repetitive. Than would fight, whether he won or lost, get hurt, and then Keen would get physical with him. This cycle repeated over and over, making the story predictable and, frankly, annoying. One of the most frustrating parts was when Keen organizes a boxing match on his home turf. There’s some jealousy thrown in, but it didn’t land the way it should have. As for the second couple, they had slightly better chemistry, but overall, both couples felt overly sexualized, which completely overshadowed any emotional depth. The final straw for me was when Keen’s boyfriend was poisoned, and that’s when I decided to stop watching. The series just seemed to be heading downhill, and I wasn’t sticking around for the ride.

There was also something missing from the show—it felt like there was no real antagonist or villain to push the plot forward. Without a strong opposing force, the stakes never felt high enough, and the show lacked the tension and excitement I was hoping for. The lack of direction and a clear villain left the entire show feeling flat.

The music was forgettable, mediocre at best. Keen’s acting was painful at times, especially when his voice would shoot up an octave, making it all the more cringey. The other actors were just as average, with no one standing out. With better direction or some proper acting workshops, maybe it could have been better, but as it is, it’s hard to take seriously.

I don’t recommend this at all unless you’re into wasting your time on poorly written, badly acted, and directionless shows. The only real tea here is how this series fails to deliver on every level.
