Surprisingly Predictable

Overall, I thought Knockout was a solid show. I really enjoyed the boxing plotline, and I'm glad there was a good evil villain. However, I felt that none of the twists were all that surprising, and that I was never fully invested in the story because of it.

When Keen (Nice) loses his father, his father's friend tells him that if he ever needs help, he should call him. Soon after, Keen learns of his father's debt and the debt collectors won't leave him alone. In a desperate moment, he calls his dad's friend, who sends Thun (Gunner) to help. Keen learns of his dad's friend's boxing gym, and starts staying there along with Thun. Keen becomes the gym's promoter and starts setting up fights for Thun. The two develop a relationship while navigating the debt collectors and other drama in the boxing world.

This show would've been better if I had waited until it all came out to watch it I think. The twists just weren't quite interesting enough to keep me fully invested. That being said, I really enjoyed the couples in this show and thought it was a fun watch. If you like boxing and action, it's worth giving this show a chance.

GREEN FLAG RELATIONSHIP PLS WATCH

okay this was a banger. I'll be so fr, in was in a bit of a slump where no shows have been catching my attention for a while now but this??? my god. I'm surprised I haven't seen more people talk about it. I was getting a bit tired of the random toxic cliches bls nowadays like to play with (it's enjoyable at times but this show was spicy af without it too ) or, the worst, the misunderstanding miscommunication story arc they make main couples go through. this is NOT THAT , a healthy couple and a storyline so good they don't have to create unnecessary conflict between the pairing. both the actors have such incredible chemistry this was such an easy watch that kept me hooked. even the boxing was so entertaining and fun which was not what I was expecting. loved it.

absolute CINEMA.

knock out will always be my fav thai bl from now on. the plot, the characters, the acting everything screams perfection. knock out proves that bl is not always about bl. there's action, mystery, thrilling point that add spice to the plot and IT'S SO FUN. people who watch this definitely not limited to see the couple being lovey dovey, but they also can play detective lol. like guessing who is the villain, who killed keen's dad, and getting caught up in all the exciting twists. i really enjoyed this drama way more than i ever imagined! thank you for the actors, the crew and the production house. this drama is absolutely worth watching, you won't regret it.

Knock Out knocked me out — in the best way!

I’m usually quite picky, but Knock Out completely won me over. It had a perfect mix of emotion, action, and atmosphere, with a Muay Thai setting that felt unique and meaningful.

What I loved most was the main couple’s dynamic. Once they got together, they stayed solid — no unnecessary drama, no love triangles, no dragged-out misunderstandings. Just two people truly supporting each other and working through problems together. Their communication was mature and refreshing, and the chemistry between the leads was genuinely moving. The side couple was also lovely and added warmth to the story.

The cinematography was stunning, and the music really stood out — the main theme is already on my Spotify. Each episode made my Fridays brighter, and I already miss this show.

If you're tired of repetitive tropes and want something that feels honest, tender, and exciting — Knock Out is a must-watch. I truly hope to see these actors again soon.

The Series That Couldn't Land a Punch

I didn’t like the way Knockout started. It failed to grab my attention right away and lacked a clear direction. The plot felt aimless, which made it hard to get invested from the beginning.

The main couple, Keen and Than, got together way too quickly. There was no real build-up or tension, so I found it hard to care about their relationship. Keen's debt storyline also felt off—Than clears Keen’s debt after knowing him for only a few days, which didn’t seem believable. Then, the boxing match plot quickly became repetitive. Than would fight, whether he won or lost, get hurt, and then Keen would get physical with him. This cycle repeated over and over, making the story predictable and, frankly, annoying. One of the most frustrating parts was when Keen organizes a boxing match on his home turf. There’s some jealousy thrown in, but it didn’t land the way it should have. As for the second couple, they had slightly better chemistry, but overall, both couples felt overly sexualized, which completely overshadowed any emotional depth. The final straw for me was when Keen’s boyfriend was poisoned, and that’s when I decided to stop watching. The series just seemed to be heading downhill, and I wasn’t sticking around for the ride.

There was also something missing from the show—it felt like there was no real antagonist or villain to push the plot forward. Without a strong opposing force, the stakes never felt high enough, and the show lacked the tension and excitement I was hoping for. The lack of direction and a clear villain left the entire show feeling flat.

The music was forgettable, mediocre at best. Keen’s acting was painful at times, especially when his voice would shoot up an octave, making it all the more cringey. The other actors were just as average, with no one standing out. With better direction or some proper acting workshops, maybe it could have been better, but as it is, it’s hard to take seriously.

I don’t recommend this at all unless you’re into wasting your time on poorly written, badly acted, and directionless shows. The only real tea here is how this series fails to deliver on every level.

Let Keen solve all the wars in the world

I had to watch the last episode to confirm everything I said.
Well, I expected Keen to get pregnant, and before that he ended the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Palestine wars and others around the world. The boy solved everything by himself in such a way that he was curled up and curly, and the others just congratulated him. BRAVO hahahahahaha
P.S: The only good thing is that they wrote THE END at the end, so we know that the series has ended, which is not really a virtue of other productions. Congratulations on that!

The story has some action, well thought out, but unfortunately the acting is mediocre, much more needs to be done on the acting and the naturalness of the acting as well as the actors themselves. The music is OK, there are almost no visual effects. The budget seems very small for this series.
The most attention should be paid to the continuity of the actions that take place in real time, as well as to the individual work of the majority of actors who act as amateurs.
What amount should be bet to make the debt 500,000 Baht? Where did he get the original source that he would put on a bet? Virtually? No, I don't think it exists in Thailand either.
A guy owes 500,000 baht and he will NOT sell his car because he needs it? Your script is a bit shallow. And he is afraid that the creditor will kill him??? Hahahaha Once the money issues are solved, new money problems pop up out of nowhere.
If you emphasize the "beauty" of the actors, then at least find beautiful actors, but who know how to act!
And they just cry... Reduce that crying leads to nothing!
It seemed at first that something could happen, but...I won't waste my time
Keen i’s just unbearable: constantly angry, blaming everyone for everything, especially his boyfriend. On top of that, the actor playing him isn’t doing a great job, which doesn’t help.
I would be ashamed to participate about this stupid series in any way, actor, director, crew.....A guy who has never watched an entire boxing match comes in and he runs the gym, schedules the matches... the scenario makes you want to throw up. And he doesn't know how to act! Overall a strong 1
Keen? Acting 0. Throughout the series, he is scowling, in disbelief, the same expression constantly seems disgusting

I decided to stop watching.

Major disappointment

It was my own fault going into this series with expectations. The first 2 episodes held great promise for a good series but from the 3rd episode onward.....the plot just went in every way possible. Someone reviewed and said it was "nonsense writing" and I wholeheartedy agree.

I found myself skipping through epsidoes from ep 3 onward. Other than that, the acting and cast weren't bad at all. I'm just thinking of how if they could've added in the ABO concept and reworked the plot/story a bit, it would've been a hit.

I found myself enjoying Win and Itts story. Would love to see them in another series as the mls.

FINALLYYYYYY, lack of plot >> NC Scenes. Those ncs were good, I'm not going to lie, but it didn't make up for the disappointment of the plot going in various directions.

Utter nonsense and awkward couple

This show was a huge disappointment. The premise was amazing, I love action filled dramas and series in general and the thought of a show taking place in a thai boxing camp was super exciting.

Well ... it was for one episode because the execution was just horrible. The pacing of the show is quite shit. The main couple's makeout scenes are awkward as hell, stiff and not rly believable. Not every drama needs "spicy" scenes sometimes I'd be better to just not include them. Literally skipped through them because I found the so awkward and passion-less.

On top of that I simply can't stand Keen. He constantly plays the victim and cries while at the same time thirsting for a dude he doesn't even know - 1 day after the funeral of a family member. For the first 5 episodes it seems that he forgot that his father just died some weeks ago which was quite weird to watch.

In general the main couple becomes too close too soon. And that's coming from someone who loved how quickly things developed in love sea. The difference however being that in love sea it all starts with sex and feelings develop later on while in knock out they're just kinda instantly in love and making out at quite weird timings.
The dozens of boring "emotional" conversations that don't rly add anything to the plot don't make it any better.

It's a cycle of fighting - crying - awkwardly making out on repeat.

The story quickly becomes a hot mess including mafia-like structures that are comedically overdone
- dog that eats people
- mafia boss wants to "own" the main couple
- dad works 10 years for the mafia to protect the son but in the end it just takes a goddamn social media stream to completely expose all criminal activities (it took him 10 years srly?)
- instead of jailing the mafia dude as he would have deserved they just murder him in a very unspectacular manner

The only ray of hope was the side couple. They had amazing chemistry, great emotional and spicy scenes and their kisses actually looked believable.

I also really don't get the 18+ rating because nothing besides some boxing scenes happened.

Conclusion: This was pretty bad which is so disappointing considering how cool it could have been.

A Refreshing and Well-Built Surprise

Honestly, I really enjoyed this BL! The concept was original, and I felt there was real character development—for both the main and supporting roles.

I was especially moved by Thun. He seems cold and violent at first, but he turns out to be the complete opposite: sweet, deeply loyal, and ready to do anything for the people he loves. Keen also pleasantly surprised me. I was afraid he’d be portrayed as passive or fragile, but not at all—he truly takes control of the situation with strength and confidence.

I also liked Sian Therp. At first, he didn’t leave much of an impression, but later on, he becomes a proper antagonist, which added good tension to the story.

If I had one small regret, it’s that I wish we had seen more moments of friendship within the group. It would’ve emphasized even more how Keen found a new family. Still, the emotional build-up was definitely there.

Visually and story-wise, it was refreshing to watch. Some episodes were over an hour long, which could feel like a lot, but honestly, the pacing made them fly by.

And I can’t finish without mentioning Itt and Mawin’s love story—I loved it! They’re totally different from each other, yet so complementary. And Mawin is such a brat—it’s incredibly entertaining.
I recommend this BL!

Most chaotic storyline of the year

There's too many bad people, too many situations that don't make sense (why are there no cameras to document the extortion and attacks?), and the communication being so damn bad for no reason.

I wanted to like this so much, but I don't think the scriptwriters know how to land the drama and plot points they wanted. Not only did this start as a "saving the grieving guy from loan sharks" but it dipped into doping, underground boxing rings, gambling, and even corrupt police/murder cover-ups. There's just too much going on and it took away from the viewer's experience. There needs to be a more clear story, with a clear enemy, and then you can map out a complex storyline around it.

As for the good, I loved the chemistry from both the pairings. Guide and Dech were really good to see together even though I had not expected them as a pairing here.

Poor script, surprisingly polished execution.

Knock Out has a very strong cast; there were several moments where I felt the need to go back just to watch how one of them acted in a scene again just because it was intriguingly convincing. This was particularly true of Nice although everybody held their own.

The biggest downfall, however, is the story. While Knock Out tries to handle dark subject matter and occasionally delivers thoughtful messages pertaining to such, it becomes increasingly difficult to take seriously given the nature in which it's depicted. Yut's comically-evil archetype would give Carbon from Jack and Joker a run for his money, and the way their veins lit up like IMAX whenever they injected steroids had me in stitches laughing.

Even with the amount of turns the narrative takes Knock Out is shockingly predictable. In the beginning, it goes out of its way to show the two main antagonists as overly charitable philanthropists, and quite honestly, the big reveals that they have been actually evil all along just do not hit at all.

It also does not bother to properly flesh out its arcs, as the central conflict to Keen's character is resolved within the first couple episodes. There was also Typhoon's sudden change of heart, which was not hinted at whatsoever until the final episodes.

All that said, the production quality and cast are the strongest parts of this series. Nice and Gunner's performances are absolutely worth the watch on their own, but if you're in this more for story purposes, Knock Out will likely leave you hanging.

It didn’t know me out

I really wanted to like this series specially with with good looking male leads but I found their acting really weak, the chemistry between leads was lacking, and though the story initially had potential but it fizzled near the end. The ending was predictable which isn’t necessarily bad. I’m noticing it as a pattern with thai series when it comes to fight scenes specially in a boxing ring where the fight coordination is lacking authenticity. Personally I would like to see these two in another series and give them a chance, with a better script they have a potential to improve their chemistry.
