Move over classic superheroes—Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson is the ultimate, high-octane anti-bully revenge fantasy where untouchable villains finally get the brutal reality check they deserve."Forget slow-burn dramas that require patience; Teach You a Lesson hooks you from the very first episode with immediate, heart-pounding action and a structure that refuses to drag."

A perfect alternate reality.

What makes it so profound is how the conflicts really are happening in real life but we are powerless and cannot do anything about it.
It makes it satisfactory, therefore, to see the villains getting what they deserve, it's how we would wish karma to act in real life.
Kudos to the entire team for soldiering on amid protests.
And to the protestors, relax, it's fiction.

I found *Teach You a Lesson* to be one of the most frustrating school dramas I've watched. Instead of presenting a balanced look at the relationship between teachers and students, the series often felt like it was written to defend abusive and unethical teachers while placing most of the blame on students.

Throughout the drama, there seems to be a strong effort to justify old-fashioned attitudes toward education, including the idea that harsh treatment and physical punishment somehow help children. Rather than seriously questioning these practices, the story often appears to excuse them or portray them as necessary. As someone who believes students deserve respect and protection, I found this message deeply uncomfortable.

What bothered me even more was how the drama handled accusations and misconduct involving teachers. Whenever a teacher was accused of inappropriate behavior, the narrative seemed determined to prove the teacher innocent while casting suspicion on students. The show repeatedly pushes the idea that teachers are misunderstood victims and that students are dishonest troublemakers. This creates a one-sided portrayal that ignores the reality that authority figures can abuse their power and that students can be genuine victims.

The drama also suffers from an unhealthy tendency to treat teachers as morally superior simply because they are adults or hold positions of authority. Students are frequently portrayed as irresponsible, malicious, or criminal, while teachers receive endless sympathy and understanding. This imbalance makes it difficult to take the story seriously, especially when it asks viewers to excuse behavior that would be unacceptable in real life.

What makes this even more frustrating is that it feels like part of a larger trend I have noticed in some recent dramas. More and more, I see stories that seem determined to romanticize or justify harmful behavior instead of challenging it. Some dramas appear to defend the physical punishment of children and teenagers. Others push the message that women should be pressured into motherhood regardless of their own wishes. There are also stories that blur the line between consent and romance, portraying situations involving intoxication or impaired judgment as if they were romantic rather than deeply troubling. Whether intentional or not, these narratives often come across as attempts to normalize ideas that should be questioned and debated, not celebrated.

A good school drama should explore both sides of conflicts and recognize that both teachers and students are capable of making mistakes. Unfortunately, *Teach You a Lesson* often feels more interested in protecting the reputation of authority figures than honestly examining the problems that can exist within schools. Instead of encouraging accountability, it seems determined to defend those in power at almost every opportunity.

In the end, I came away feeling that the drama was less about education and more about justifying outdated beliefs about discipline, authority, and unquestioning respect for those above you. While some viewers may appreciate its perspective, I found it biased, unrealistic, and at times disturbingly dismissive of student experiences. For me, it was a disappointing watch that failed to provide the balanced and thoughtful examination of school life that it could have been.

As Episode 3 demonstrates, many of the adults in this story do not seem interested in helping children grow, learn, or overcome their problems. Instead, they appear more concerned with blaming students for every issue and using their authority to settle personal grudges. The episode gives the impression that certain teachers view students not as young people who need guidance, but as targets for their frustration and resentment. Rather than acting as mentors, they often come across as individuals seeking revenge for their own disappointments, projecting their anger onto children who have little power to defend themselves.

This is one of the reasons I found the drama so frustrating. The story repeatedly expects viewers to sympathize with authority figures while ignoring how unfairly students are treated. Even when adults behave unprofessionally or abusively, the narrative often shifts the blame back onto the children. The result is a drama that feels less like a thoughtful examination of education and more like an attempt to justify adults who misuse their power while portraying students as inherently problematic.

Episode 3 particularly reinforced my belief that the show's priorities are misplaced. Instead of focusing on how teachers can support and protect students, it presents an environment where children are constantly judged, blamed, and punished. The message seems to be that students must earn basic respect, while teachers deserve sympathy regardless of their actions. I found that perspective both unrealistic and deeply troubling.

and thank you for your advices to rate it higher and how i am wrong and you all are right and this drama is Greatest thing ever happen .

More a cautionary tale

I actually enjoyed watching this series, predictable as the outcome may have been. I find it more a tool for educating parents, HS students, teachers, etc rather than entertainment. Cheesy, but I could not help cheering the ERPB group on. Broken educational system, and those who take advantage or use students, or stand by and do nothing, should be punished, in my humble opinion.

The Most Satisfying Slaps Ever

➥ WHY I STARTED THIS DRAMA
I started this drama as soon as it dropped on Netflix, without doing my usual ritual of checking trailers, reviews, or ratings beforehand. All I knew was that I love larger-than-life stories that tackle socially relevant issues. Within minutes, I was hooked. The action sequences immediately grabbed my attention, & seeing four actors I absolutely adore - Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sung Min, Jin Ki Joo, & PO - made the experience even better. Having loved many of their previous works, I was already invested.

While watching, I checked MDL & found the ratings and comments quite promising. Then I discovered that this drama exists in the same universe as "Study Group". My reaction was simple: "No wonder!" I absolutely loved that drama & had even mentioned in my review that any sequel, spin-off, or side story from that world would likely be just as enjoyable. Turns out, I was right. [My review for STUDY GROUP: https://kisskh.at/profile/omo-omo-omo/review/426780]

➥ BRIEF DRAMA SUMMARY
This drama is built around a highly idealistic premise. A special unit is formed to protect victims - whether students, parents, or teachers - & ensure that the right to education, fairness, & happiness is not taken away by those in power. While the story begins with a personal incident, it gradually expands to tackle deeper social issues, particularly those affecting the education system.

Like "Study Group" & "Trauma Code: Heroes on Call", it presents a world where people are willing to fight back against corruption & injustice. As unrealistic as that may sound, that's exactly what makes stories like these so satisfying to watch.

➥ MY FAVORITE PARTS OF THIS DRAMA
In reality, corruption often runs too deep & those who try to challenge it are frequently silenced. So even when these dramas push the boundaries of realism, I can't help but cheer when justice is served & get emotional when victims finally get the victory they deserve. Maybe that's why dramas like "Teach You a Lesson", "Study Group", & "Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" resonate so strongly with me.

The acting, comedy, action, & emotional moments are all incredibly effective, elevated further by sharp direction, background score & strong cinematography. The four leads are impeccable - as expected. Whether making you laugh, inspiring admiration, or pulling at your heartstrings, they make every moment count. Even within the drama's larger-than-life setup, they deliver memorable performances.

I also appreciated the recurring focus on juvenile offenders & how often they commit crimes yet escape meaningful consequences. It reminded me of "Juvenile Justice", & a small part of me would have loved a crossover. Then again, having Lee Sung Min in both dramas is satisfying enough in its own way.

➥ SHOULD YOU WATCH IT
If you enjoy this genre of drama, this is an easy recommendation & a must-watch. It is highly entertaining, emotionally satisfying, & delivers exactly what it sets out to do. Even if you have not watched similar dramas, but want to try - do it give a go.

Just like "Study Group", I hope this series receives a sequel & expands further. From what I understand, the "Blue String" universe is quite vast, & even though I haven't read the source material, I would love to see more stories from this world brought to life.

Wanna punch someone but...

... you can't because there are laws and all, watch this.
Food analogy: hot and Spicy ramen
It makes your eyes and mouth weep but fills your heart with satisfaction.

I won't say that this drama didn't have any flaws but it actually is true to it's name. It does "teach a lesson" to those who needed. It takes realistic issues and resolves them in an unorthodox lawless way, which to me, who watches a lot of fantasy drama, doesn't take away from the satisfaction that i felt after each episode. Most people generally day-dream about the horrifying ways that the bullies should be punished, this show just brings them to the screen. Although, in the later episodes, I felt like the issues were pretty loosely dealt with, mainly because they had to rush to end the issue. Nevertheless, Who doesn't like watching Karma bite someone in the back.

One thing i can assure you, if you love watching bullies get what they deserve. You will be pretty satisfied with the show.

Will definitely rewatch it during my frustrating moods.

Amazing show

one of the best k dramas for the year 2026...everything was perfect except for one thing 😭😭the episodes being only 10,it could have got on for another 10 more episodes (HOPING FOR A SEASON 2)
the villains gave a 10/10 performance, their actions will have you wanting to step into the screen and deal with them yourself...the female teacher was a mixture of cute and hardcore...the main lead was exceptionally cast..he portrayed that character so well,he bought a mixture of seriousness, funny, grief

Worth the watch but never again!

Knowing these episodes are all inspired by real events in South Korea makes this series honestly DISTURBING. It did an incredible job of making my blood pressure spike with every single episode.
The toxic pressure from Korean netizens and their systemic flaws are completely broken, and it really highlights why South Korea faces one of the highest suicide rates in the world.
I've watched so many Korean crime and school bullying dramas and films, and what frustrates me most is how often the same patterns of abuse, silence, and institutional failure appear, IT'S SICKENING!! While these stories don't represent everyone's experience, it's painful to see how many are inspired by real cases. More than anything, I hope every victim receives the justice and support they deserve.

Please make a second season happen. I feel like this story still has so much more to give

Perfect Story. The story touches your heart and makes you wish something like this existed in real life. Maybe then people would stop bullying others. The inspector’s story was beautiful, especially how he chose not to seek revenge in the end.|Una serie perfecta. La historia te llega al corazón y te hace desear que algo así existiera en la vida real. Tal vez entonces la gente dejaría de hacer bullying. La historia del inspector fue hermosa, especialmente cómo decidió no buscar venganza al final.

School is for Learning

The story is about an organization that can do almost anything that is prohibited by normal law. They can do a physical damage, even send the student to jail if needed. This becomes interesting when there is one of the teacher/supervisor that is strong in his background is almost can't be discovered. Later on, one by one is being discovered about why this organization is created and protected so hard.

*There are lot of blood scene so make sure you're not afraid against blood.
