Doppelganger

Both are mini dramas in which the FL is a self aware character in a historical novel, fated for a bad ending, who decides to fight her fate and changes the story. This leads to her becoming entangled with the ML who is initially antagonistic toward her.

Fighting against fate and what their character is supposed to do and be. Its a much better show overall.

Both dramas have

-a fictional world based on a script
-female leads who have to fight against the script
-characters that are victims of prejudiced thinking and harsh judgement by others
-a story that questions the popular or common patterns of story telling in idol romance dramas
-make a point about the "supporting characters" also being people, not furniture to fill space around the "main couple" so it doesn't look to empty
-romance that doesn't consist of fluff, but building a real connection between two people, while the circumstances don't make it easy for them
-bloody scenes/torture
-a story that is worth thinking about

FLs didn't die from their death. Betrayed by family and betrothed.

Both FL are highly focused on survival, happiness, and money.

Women's issues/empowerment are core theme.

Obsessive SML.

Political scheming.

FL faces constant struggles and situations to survive, often turning schemes back around on perpetrator.

In Doppelganger the FL does exist twice at the same time, independent from one another, while in EotS she is reincarnated, keeping the same look.
There exists a friendly rivalry/hatred for one another/understanding.

Both female leads are seemingly replaced, but both coexist.
In Doppelganger it is an actual copy of the female lead while in TQoA it is a lookalike.
