Again a wasted chance...
What's with all the "periodic" series in the past six months? It's all very lacorn style, over-dramatized acting, female villains and generally a story which does not make much sense. They build up a conspiracy against the crown which fades into nothingness. And because they are lazy writing a good script, there has to be a doppelganger which can be overtaken by a ghost...I'm very sorry, this is also one of the series which is mostly bullshit. While I like BillyBabe (and of course their chemistry is undeniable being a real couple) and I think they can act, it's wasted with this kind of story. Maybe this only resonates with asiens or it resonates only with women, but for me it's just boring and unbelievable. This series makes some up with very good cinematography, very nice costumes, the dancing which was for sure a chore training for and the music in general.
Storywise this was a dumpster fire. Generally it's watchable, but mostly a waste of time.
Edit: Billy & Babe left Idol Factory, was anounced on 31st January 2026... good for them!

wish it was told in chronological order
Overall: I was intrigued with the set up, but felt disconnected from the romance because it was not told in chronological order and the plot dragged at times. 11 episodes about 45 min each. Aired on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/interminable-episode-1-15snedolols?lang=en_us (spoiler for the ending under a spoiler comment)Content Warnings: past (murders, suicides, violence, blood, held against will, unwanted public outing, slap, manipulation); current (attempted murder, near suicide, manipulation, sexual harassment/assault, drugging, near murder, beaten up, death)
Watch Suggestions (to focus on the romance, in approximate chronological order)
- episode 1 watch 15:45-19:40
- episode 2 watch 7:30-9:35
- episode 3 watch 23-25:40
- episode 4 watch 25-28

1947
- start episode 3 at 30 minutes and end at 51
- episode 4 watch 17:30-20, 43-49:15
- episode 5 watch 36-40
- episode 12 watch 59-1hr 1min 20 (or can watch until the very end for another time jump but I think it's better before the time jump)
What I Liked
- historical eras (1912 past, 1947 present)
- styling
- mystery element
- a supportive female character
Room For Improvement
- the biggest difficulty for me was I couldn't connect to the romance because we just kept seeing small little snippets of their relationship in the past instead of the full development of their past relationship. Then we spent such a long time in the past that I couldn't connect to the present 1947)
- had a slow start and dragged, then the finale went really fast
- the odd grunting in ep 5
- multiple love triangles
- wannabe evil wife cliche
- a character in the past was way too pushy and ignored boundaries multiple times
- a character almost always wore shorts and suspenders so he looked child-like in 1947
- in 1947 they made an odd choice but at least the couple talked about things
- side couple went nowhere
- the political drama was resolved off screen

Truly Interminable
A while ago, I wrote a review where I said there's no show but this that could be more aptly named, but I could not have been more wrong. The winner of the best named drama goes to Interminable, because this nonsense was truly interminable. It just went on and on and on until I was begging on my knees, praying that the torture will end. Every once in a while you come across a drama that makes you wonder who signed off on it, and I really wonder - why would you sign off on this?Right from the beginning, it could not have been more confusing, because the story is told in parallel storylines, and it switches between the past (1910s) and the present (1940s), with no sense of coherence. There's no rhyme or reason to the scenes we see, it's in some random order, like they decided it would appear in the episodes based on the Q it was shot in. Almost every single actor plays the same person in both timelines - their names, their characteristics, their personalities are all so similar, so similar that the only way to identify what the timeline is is by looking at their clothing or hairstyles, and even then it's confusing because most of them are dressed in one outfit for the entirety of the series.
The actual story begins to unfold with Kaew recieving an inheritance from a distant relative on his father's side - a huge house that has affectionately been dubbed the Huge White House.. (subtle)
Anyways, it's his, ready to move into, only a small problem, he's got to share the space with a friend of this distant relative who also lives there. They won't bother him, but they're going to be there.
The minute they move in, Kaew starts having even more recurring dreams about a man, and even thinks he sees this man in the house - he's an apparition in white who comes and goes, and he gets the sense that they're acquainted with each other/have been for a long time. This person is none other than Khun Yai, a man who has been waiting for Kaew in that house for almost thirty years now.. because of a promise they gave to each other. Or he gave to Kaew, they're not very clear on that.
But thirty years ago, he gave a promise to the person he loved (also Kaew), and him, along with his assistant Saen and his nanny Yam have been bound to the house since then. With Kaew now reincarnated and back in the house, all he needs to do is fulfill that promise, but first, Kaew needs to regain all his memories of their past. And this fragmented attempt at creating tension gives us no real information, except
a) they were lovers
b) a person named Sophee hated that they were lovers
Sophee was in reality Yai's adopted sister who was in love with him, but he loved Kaew. Sophee is obviously shrill, jealous and vindictive, because her only role is to yell about Yai not paying attention to her, try to ruin his life and attempt murder. The huge narrative is that Yai and Kaew's love was cut short because of her, and that Yai's promise has something to do with this.
And to her part, Sophee has also reincarnated and the girl is smart in some sense, because she regains all her memories before Kaew does. I guess vengeance does run deeper than love? But once again, she can't get him, because one - he's a ghost, two - he's a ghost who still loves only Kaew. She schemes and threatens to try and get her way for no real reason other than a portrait that Kaew has drawn (he's an art student) of Yai, and she's convinced he must have reincarnated as well.
All this while, in the present, Yai has been a nuisance. He won't let Kaew live his life, he's jealous, possessive and incredibly intrusive - but he's also so secretive. To get some answers about his behaviour, Kaew ventures into an underground dungeon that is restricted to him, it's Yai's space and he's not allowed in there. But going into the dungeon gives him some answers about why Yai is so secretive, comes and goes as he pleases, disappears for days on end.. he finally finds out that he's a ghost. He runs away to a temple to talk to the monk there, who knows everything that happened thirty years ago
From them on, we're left to watch as Kaew slowly loses his sanity, not knowing what is going on, except that they were in love, before he gets a sudden influx of information conveniently put together in a couple of episodes, ensuring that any and all possibilities of creating a grand narrative is flushed down the drain. This continuous flashback is also of no use because suddenly there's a political uprising on the horizon that has more screentime that Kaew and Yai do, and their story goes no further - it's once again a ton of scheming and threats and the grand nature of all that is good but no actual story.
Because as it turns out, the entire story had actually been revealed in the trailer. If you've watched the trailer, you know the story. They were in love, they were killed because of someone's jealousy, one of them reincarnated and the other didn't. And that big promise that made the whole thing possible? I won't tell you because if I had to sit through this nonsense to find out - so will you (don't watch it, it's actual nonsense).
Interminable was a snoozefest, I'm not even sorry. There wasn't a single episode where I didn't accidentally doze off, only to wake up and see if I missed something. I missed nothing. Because nothing happens in there. For some huge love epic, they couldn't even convince me that they were in love. Things happen because they're supposed to happen, but why? Give me one good reason why Yai fell so madly in love with Kaew. Give me one instance where it looked like Kaew was also in love with Yai. They literally fell for each other because the plot said so.
Everything in this was just so.. mechanical. They're all just so frigid and statuesque in everything they do - are they trying to tell me that it was supposed to be expressionless ? Not a single emotion came through for me, again are they trying to tell me that two people who have apparently been tied by a promise so strong that their love has lasted over three decades.. cannot afford to actually look like they're in love?
Three decades and all they do is show Yai pine, pine and pine over Kaew while he looks on with a blank expression. No longing, no pain of seperation, no angst - no nothing. This is a classic example of "tell, not show" because every second scene has someone singing the praises of their love story, but I don't see it??
They keep telling us that something terrible has happened to all of them in their past life, but there is no sense of tragedy or urgency to their love story, the fleeting sense of every moment between them in the past was as amplified as a mosquito buzzing by your ear.
All the characters are so one dimensional - reduced to a single characteristic, I mean is that all they can be? Like caricatures, you can plot the exact route each character will have, in fact, if you must watch this make a game out of it. See if you can predict the exact storyline for each character. And if you're right? You win nothing because there are no winners here.
The cherry on top? The amount of plot holes. One or two, I can forgive, but the entire story felt like a pothole I accidentally tripped into and the thing was riddled with plot holes. Who was Sin? Why did he keep calling Saen his father? Who was Kan? Was he reincarnated? Why was there a sudden doppelganger who's body Yai inhabited? Who on earth wrote this story? Seriously who? I need to have a talk with them.
I'm so disappointed in almost everything - even the acting was so bad. I don't know if it's the actors or the writing but the last three minutes had the best acting in the entire series. May just be the writing because they finally let Kaew have some personality, too bad it lasted mere minutes.
I'm saying the +1 is for Billy and the 0.5 is for the chemistry.. but it's really because I cannot go lower than a one while rating it. My extra 0.5 is me being generous, I genuinely implore that you think twice before you watch Interminable. What a shame. I was so excited for this one and we got THIS. Trust me. Just trust me on this and stay far away.

Can't Finish
And I will be concluding my watch of Interminable here. I really tried to push through, mostly because I genuinely think the leads have strong chemistry and the premise itself isn’t uninteresting. But the execution drags on for an astronomically long time, and at this point, there’s simply nothing keeping me seated.Let’s Dive In.
This series does offer a unique story. The lead actors share great chemistry, and the supporting cast includes performers I’ve enjoyed in past projects. Still, I can’t keep pretending I’m having a good time. I struggled to drop this earlier because I kept telling myself, No, it’ll get better. Or, No, Billy looks too beautiful without a shirt to quit now. But the truth is, there is not a single thing happening in this drama that makes me want to continue.
The plot is painfully tedious. More than once, I watched episodes at 2x speed or skimmed scenes just to catch the plot points, and even then, I never felt lost. That alone says a lot. Kaewta looks incredible as the Likay dancer, and yes, Babe with long hair is absolutely the man of my dreams. But Kaewta in the present timeline is dull and perpetually confused. Yai is one-dimensional and equally unengaging. Even with supporting characters played by actors I genuinely like (Heng and Looknam), the overall experience remains… boring.
The romance is slow, which I usually enjoy, but this is too slow. It feels like the story is told in a way that may resonate more with Thai audiences than international viewers, and unfortunately, that disconnect made it harder for me to stay invested.
BillyBabe, I’m still rooting for you. I truly hope there’s a future series of yours that I’ll be able to finish from start to end. Sigh...
Ratings:
Story: 4/10 - so so incredibly boring. Some good moments here and there, but this story is just *bleh*. Thank you Billy for the scenes with your shirt off, it was desperately needed.
Acting: 7/10 - I think Babe does good with switching between both his past and present characters, but I'm not impressed by anyone else.
Music: 5/10 - didn't distract me.
Recommendation Value: 2/10 - If you enjoy period dramas, sure, but just know this moves at a glacier-pace.

A Beautiful Story
Sad and beautiful at the same time. Billy and Babe did an amazing job in this! The emotions, the humour, the romance, all just so perfect! I did get surprised at the end with one character. Far more redeeming than I thought. Those two women though. Wow. How on earth did she even get reincarnated after all that?? I started rewatching this around episode 5 or 6 while waiting for the next one to come out. Definitely on the repeat list! The reaction videos are also good. Billy's reactions are hilarious. Even knowing it's just the first time they see the final edits, you'd swear they don't even know where the story is going. Half a point off just for the fact that annoying woman said "Miss" so much, she had me ready to strangle her and it detracted from the enjoyment. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful acting
I think for a 12eps serie, we should have gotten over with the past in the beginning and focus on developing the present.BUT the overlapping wasn't bad or confusing (if you couldn't follow you're slow, sorry).
I wish they investigated a little bit more Rhudee from the past, but again it's an historical drama, back then eloping was reason enough to be forgotten.
The love was soooo beautiful, Billy and Babe are so underrated, it's sad they deserve all rhe hype. They played so beautifully. Such professionals, the sex scenes were very intense of course, but really what they deserve flowers for is their acting. This drama was to me as beautiful as I feel you linger in the air....
Music, sceneries are so beautiful.
It's not a perfect drama but definitely a good one.
Sophee?? Girl get help! No man deserve to loose yourself like that, even if Khun Yai is a catch, girl dignity please 😮💨
I think it's definitely for people that are into emotions and slow pacing.

Really good but a little much on the backstory
I really loved this show it was fun and entertaining. I would say the only part that felt a bit dragged on were the long past life episodes but I'm aware those were needed for everything to make sense and fall into place. I am a little confused on why Khun Yai is the only one who remembers every life, the new life at the end showed he still knew him and sean, but I think it was really good either way. I already knew billybabe were good actors but this show also proved that. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful and very well done!
I Loved this drama so much! It had everything a good drama needs. The story was great, and very well excuted. I loved how they did the flashbacks to the past by turning the screen into brown and white.
The visuals were stunning and the music very beautiful.
All the actors did a great job and Billy and Babe were fantastic. Their chemistry is undeniable and the intimate scene's perfect.
It's so nice to see a couple that is so perfect together, in acting and intimacy.
This one is a must watch, i will watch this more times in the future for sure!

Incongruous
It had a good start—beautiful background for a first meeting that felt painfully sentimental. You could sense the love and longing in the space, in every corner of the house, and within both leads. But as it progressed, that sentimentality started to feel unearned. The past was revealed to be more hot and fast rather than soft and lingering.
For a Queer historical romance, I found the buildup and danger to both be lacking. I craved real, profound yearning and stakes.
You already know what I'm going to recommend instead: I Feel You Linger in The Air and The Loyal Pin. Both tragic and painful, but centered around a hard-won love with moments of private joy throughout. Even "To Sir, with Love," beautifully ridiculous as it could get, made me believe in the couple gradually finding themselves impossibly in love with each other.
Or, if they REALLY wanted to be hot and fast, they could have taken a hard turn toward comedy and made it as non-serious and high-energy as "I'm the Most Beautiful Count."
But they didn't do that. I guess they wanted to have their cake and eat it, too?
I don't know.
All I know is that I'm disappointed.

Good acting, wasted potential
As a BillyBabe fan I was really excited for this and I really loved their acting in it, I thought babe especially had improved a lot since the sign. But I was really disappointed with how they told the story. They had a good director who could have told a great story but the script was really lacking. I’m not sure why they kept all the best and most interesting scenes until the very last episode and rush through all of them… I wish they had started the story in chronological order it would have been much more interesting. It’s just disappointing because I feel like they had everything they needed but just fell short. Also terrible make up choices for the main characters. Why do the male characters have bright red lips and prominent eye makeup in a historical time? It really pulled me out of the immersion

Interminable storyline.
I am only giving this 8, because, although Babe worked so hard to really be a traditional Thai dancer - and he pulled it off! - this whole show could have been finished in 9 to 10 episodes.Interminable is a good name for it, as it was dreadfully slow....I played it at 1:25 for a lot of the time.
However, I *did* love the story, the NC scenes (artfully executed), and the settings. And, it was a happy ending!

.
I really like BillyBabe as actors and I’ve enjoyed their previous series, which is why I had hopes for this one too 🌸I’m still a bit unsure about how I feel overall. I tend to struggle with stories that mix past and present timelines, and that made it harder for me to fully connect.
That said, I’m looking forward to seeing what future projects they take on and hope those will suit them even better 💖
