I jumped into this serie because I loved Billy and Babe in The Sign, and I’m so glad I did. Their chemistry is incredible and carries the whole story. I also loved the focus on historical details and traditional Thai dance—it really made the show stand out. Sure, the jumping timelines get messy and the pacing is slow at times, but I still found myself wishing for ten more episodes.

Interminable storyline.

I am only giving this 8, because, although Babe worked so hard to really be a traditional Thai dancer - and he pulled it off! - this whole show could have been finished in 9 to 10 episodes.
Interminable is a good name for it, as it was dreadfully slow....I played it at 1:25 for a lot of the time.
However, I *did* love the story, the NC scenes (artfully executed), and the settings. And, it was a happy ending!

.

I really like BillyBabe as actors and I’ve enjoyed their previous series, which is why I had hopes for this one too 🌸

I’m still a bit unsure about how I feel overall. I tend to struggle with stories that mix past and present timelines, and that made it harder for me to fully connect.

That said, I’m looking forward to seeing what future projects they take on and hope those will suit them even better 💖

I think this story is underrated

Just based on some of the reviews, I feel like the odd ball out here as I have absolutely loved the story. I love a good slow burn reincarnation story. This was also my introduction to Billy and Babe and made hubby and I seek out their other drama, The Sign. I love their chemistry and am not surprised given their real life situation. I'd recommend this drama and plan on going on a rewatch binge when it's done.

Absolutely amazing

This was an absolutely incredible series, everything about it was just beautiful! Definitely worth the watch. The finale episode was so sad but still really well done and felt like everything was wrapped up nicely.
Both Billy and Babe's acting was next level, the traditional aspects felt really well done and respectful, beautifully shot camera work and a sweet little epiloge at the end a very nice touch. I cant stop think abiut this series

A Slow Death

I honestly feel cheated.

After watching The Sign back 2024, I was blown away. When they announced a new BillyBabe project. I was buzzing. It was around the end of September 2024 and thinking wow, that's too long, how will I wait?

Thankfully time stops for no one and when the pilot was released early 2025, I thought, YES!! Give me that angst, tear my heart out with the aching and tragedy.

😂

If you haven't watched it while reading this. It's nothing like that.

We are back and forth back and forth, ghost fight in the middle, and then a quick unravelling of the past. With the most lukewarm ending I have ever experienced. Not even anger. Just ok, that's it. Sure.

What feels like nothing for the first few episodes, people standing around talking instead of showing us,some CGI and then it's all laid out with repeated scenes to fill in the gaps. Quick death. Quick resolve. 3rd life teaser. End

I'm genuinely disappointed in the production.

Billybabe, the costumes and the sets, all beautiful. Everything else was hacked to death

The scenes I was most looking forward to were first life Kaewta's death ( see, dramatic b!tch) and it was so anticlimactic that I winced physically. I was left to believe his killer beat him from the tree, and left him to die for DAYs in Thai heat.
No. He took a smack to the head, watched his rescuer come towards him and die. Within hours. I mean, it's a death I guess, but not I wanted 😂

Then there was a whole real life conspiracy that just stopped. None of those people were involved in Kaewta's death so why were there?

Kun Yai just died. No explanation, nothing from the monk. He just went with a tear and a wimper and Saen followed him off screen.

Also, Granny Yam was the most unnecessary character. What's was her point? She was just there randomly and dies off screen, twice.

As we move to life three, I honestly had no idea what was happening. Other than they would have to have died in order to reincarnate but I'm left wondering if Yai did.

The timelines don't seem realistic either. There's 30 years between life 1 and 2. What happened to mum. How old was she when she had Kaewta?

I'm sure the special ep would have told us something, but so they spent so much time in the first half doing nothing that they then had to chop whatever they planned and rush the ending. Where was Saen, Sophee, the needless brother and the maid. Just forgotten.

I really do love BillyBabe and I wish them all the love and luck in the future, including a better production team.

ACTING

This was good it really delivered ,the first two episodes were a little confusing to me but after that l picked and started enjoying it wholesomely, honestly not in a bad way but l was unable to sit through most bl series similar to this one ,they are also good but weren't doing it for me so this honestly is a 10 over 10,THE CHEMISTRY IS ON FIRE ,BillyBabe are very comfortable with each other and that's why they deliver,am so proud of everyone who helped in the production of this masterpiece, your hard work is appreciated 🙏🌟🌟😘

Good acting, wasted potential

As a BillyBabe fan I was really excited for this and I really loved their acting in it, I thought babe especially had improved a lot since the sign. But I was really disappointed with how they told the story. They had a good director who could have told a great story but the script was really lacking. I’m not sure why they kept all the best and most interesting scenes until the very last episode and rush through all of them… I wish they had started the story in chronological order it would have been much more interesting. It’s just disappointing because I feel like they had everything they needed but just fell short.

Also terrible make up choices for the main characters. Why do the male characters have bright red lips and prominent eye makeup in a historical time? It really pulled me out of the immersion

“When Love Refuses to Die: My Thoughts on Interminable”

started this series with a smile on my face, but by the end of each episode, I was overwhelmed with emotions. Imagine what life must have been like for two men in love during the early 1900s—around 1910. I’ve seen a lot of reviews where people complain that this story “should have been set in the modern era,” but they miss the deeper message the series is trying to convey.
Kaewta and Yai Samoe Jairat are lovers from that era. Even after decades, Yai’s soul remains in that house, waiting for his beloved—because he never got to see him before he took his last breath. The pain and torment of such a mind are intense; it can even trap a spirit driven by determination.
This series is incredibly compelling. It’s more than just a love story—it speaks volumes about longing, destiny, and the enduring power of love.

Nostalgic love

This was an exceptionally good story. The acting was excellent. The story was involved enough to make each episode interesting. I don't understand the bad reviews on this show. It's an historical BL and as such the costuming was excellent. The attitudes of the time were realistic. I absolutely wanted to wring the neck of the female villain. She was a complete nut job! I was so relieved that the storyline presented an opportunity for the two male leads to have a life together. And I must say the NC scenes were erotic and tastefully done. This story reminded me somewhat of " I Feel You Linger in the Air" and "Memoirs of Rati" both of which were also very well done.

I loveee it?

I finished it in one breath, and it completely stole my heart. It’s a truly magnificent series.

I’ve always loved this couple — they’re incredibly adorable together.

The storyline fits perfectly into my favorite reincarnation style, and I already know I’ll be rewatching this endlessly with the same excitement every time
