So good that it needs to be made into a full series!
This short form show needs to be made into a full series immediately! While you can only get the first three eps on Youtube, some beautiful human downloaded the whole series onto BiliBili which you can watch here

Good acting, good story, cute wimpy corporate slave, hot Yakuza - what more could you want? The Japanese have such a talent for concise storytelling and the fact that they have crammed what could comfortably be a 10 episode series into 30 minutes is testament to that. That being said, I liked it so much that I want more! More cute moments, more tough Yakuza moments, more back story for both characters, more shots of that tattoo!
Well done, Japan - another winner from you. This show is definitely worth 30 minutes of your time.

could have been a 10/10 (need a season 2!)
Overall: I liked the nervous office worker compared to the collected bad boy gangster; however, there were too many flashbacks and there was a very cliche plot point towards the end. Runtime is about 30 minutes. Episodes 1-3 are free to watch https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIBpX20YnmIiP897j9WiDoGMXkS_5XZE5&si=pq9pgBL_1VRDtGEoThe rest must be watched/paid on the mov, Inc app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=movie.mov.app&pli=1 / https://apps.apple.com/us/app/short-movie-tv-mov/id6648779972
Content Warning: fight, blood, non con touching
What I Liked
- their dynamic/chemistry
- easy to understand plot
- visuals
- office worker cleared something up soon after he saw it
Room For Improvement
- with only 10 episodes they could have moved the story along a bit faster/had more relationship building between the leads, too many flashbacks, not needed side plot with the boss
- fight scene looked/sounded very fake
- the very cliche thing that happened towards the end of the series and I can't believe that's how the other character would respond when they barely knew each other

If Only
If this were more fleshed out into a full length series, I would love it!! As it is, it's cute and sweet, but it moves too quickly since there's not time to give background or have character development. And it needs at least one real kiss. The seme is hot as hell and the uke is just too cute. Good potential in the story for office or Yakuza story lines. Was this review helpful to you?

enjoyable
i remember liking it but the start was better than the second half, it has it own flaws but it had an interesting story, i liked the visuals, one of the mls was super hot and i was invested enough to watch until the end , one point is that i think if it was a full serie it could have been betteroverall 8/10

ehh?!?!?!!!
it is i, the niel.the music was fantastic. it was so weird and didn't really fit in any scene. i don't care what anyone says, it was perfect. the story? nonexistent. the characters? barely any dialogue. there was no build-up to anything, but an attempt was made. this sort of storyline would've clearly worked better if it wasn't in a miniseries that literally had 30 minutes of total runtime.
in most stories, you get exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and then a resolution or conclusion. this show practically had none of that. somehow, still more compelling than 2gether (see my review). there's nothing i can even say about this show because there's not really a story, but it's a perfect late-night watch when you're borderline delirious and can consume any media. will be rewatching this again.
i don't know. 10/10. deserves a 1, but it's perfect.
chef's kiss!
best,
the niel.

A Promising Romance Held Back by Its Short Runtime
Ore-sama Yakuza to Hetare Shachiku: Kuni wo Koeta Jingi Naki Dekiai is a charming series, but it definitely feels like it needs more time to fully develop. The cast does a great job with what they're given, but the short episode lengths leave many questions unanswered and key moments underexplored. While the chemistry between the characters is evident, the brevity of the episodes prevents it from truly shining. A re-adaptation of the show would be a great solution and keeping the same talented cast. . With the episode count remaining at 10 but extending the runtime to at least 30-45 minutes per episode. That would allow for a deeper exploration of the story and relationships, making it a more rewarding and fulfilling experience. Was this review helpful to you?

resenha
