WHY DID I TORTURE MYSELF WITH THIS
Ah, it's been a long time I've enjoyed GMMTV shows. Sorry to say but I managed to watch this because of Mix only. Mix as Dean was perfect. In fact, I loved Mix. He can act so well and he did a great job bringing this character to life.First of all, I wouldn’t say I am a die-hard fan of season 1 but I loved that it had drama. It was messy for a reason. This season two made me laugh all through. And not in a good way.
It's like whoever directed this series struggled to come home with something dramatic and messy for this season. The storyline didn't make sense at all.
How can there be so much casting and not single chemistry with people they supposedly had crushes on and I am not talking about fixed pairings now? I want to rip my hair off anytime Jack and raffy come up on my screen. As much as I don't fancy season 1, it wouldn't have fucked things up like this. Everyone was missing everyone. I don't like too many NC scenes but why was everyone not kissing everyone? GMMTV and the curse of fixed pairings. So are you telling me, Mix and Joss couldn't share one kiss on stage? Like hello? Even if we don't get from other non-parings, Romeo and Romeo couldn't share one kiss? Fucking hell. Just say Mix and Joss don't want to kiss. I miss the former cast.
Thank God for Mix. I wouldn't have known I was watching Onlyfriends.
The only couple I loved was RomeRaffy. Let me not get started with JackDean. And there's Arnold and Tua who makes me wonder what they are doing in Only friends? So funny.

Good! Worth watching.
Okay, so this is better than S1. I tried watcing S1 and there were a lot of chaos and therefore i could not even bring myself to complete the series.I am not speaking from the novel perspective but the purely old school BL fan perspectice. This one seems less chaotic until now (Ep 6) , and the story is engaging , Mix has definitely taken it up a notch in his acting , so proud of him. Definitely worth a watch. Just thrown in a lil bit of open minded going into this one. I felt like this is realistic. Was this review helpful to you?
IT’S FINALLY HERE!
Honestly it’s already sooooo good, I’m happy that we’re finally watching it! I’m already invested in the plot and I really like the characters, especially JackDean but I may be lowkey biased here since EarthMix are my all time fav GMMTV pairing. Moreover, I also really liked SandRay cameo, it was such a nice surprise. I hope we can see more old characters even if it’s for a couple of minutes. Anyway, let’s wait and see if this season is gonna top the previous one and if it’s gonna bring more surprises! ❤️Was this review helpful to you?
I NEED SEASON THREE RN

I CANT WAIT FOR BOSTON TO MAKE A COMEBACK.

JossGawin’s Impactful Performance & A Standout OST – A Memorable GMMTV Series
Only Friends” and its sequel “Dream On” deliver an intense, character-driven story that stays with you long after the final episode. One of the strongest elements is definitely the OST, especially “No One Can” by Gawin Caskey. The song captures the emotional tension of the series perfectly — raw, haunting, and incredibly memorable. It fits the tone of the story so well that it feels like an extension of the characters’ inner worlds.I also want to highlight the performances of Joss Wayar and Gawin Caskey. Their chemistry and acting are genuinely impactful. Both portray complicated emotions with so much depth, especially in the more emotional and confrontational scenes. They bring their characters to life in a way that feels real and believable — you can truly feel their struggles, vulnerabilities, and connections.
Overall, this series stands out because of its bold storytelling, powerful OST, and the strong performances from the cast, especially JossGawin. If you enjoy relationship-focused dramas with great acting and memorable music, this is absolutely worth watching.

MUCH BETTER THAN SEASON 1
If you like character-driven BL stories that mix romance with rivalry, creative ambition, and interpersonal tension, Only Friends: Dream On can be a compelling watch. It seems to be leaning into its emotional and messy narrative more than just surface-level romance, which can be appealing if you enjoy deeper, more layered storytelling. What a great way to start a Show!!Was this review helpful to you?
The Beginning of ArnoldTua’s Dangerous Game
ArnoldTua is honestly one of those pairings that feels natural rather than forced. Their chemistry doesn’t scream for attention — it slowly pulls you in. Arnold brings this soft, slightly awkward sincerity that makes him so easy to root for, while Tua adds depth and quiet strength that balances everything beautifully.I know we didn’t get many scenes of them in Episode 1, but that just makes me even more eager to see how their story unfolds. There’s so much potential in their dynamic. And I’m especially curious to see how cunning Tua is going to slowly lure Arnold — the tension, the mind games, the subtle moves… it’s going to be so good. 🥳

Arnold Tua
Arnold and Tua are such a refreshing and exciting pair in Only Friends: Dream On.Their chemistry feels fun, warm, and full of sparks in the best way. Every interaction between them has this light, playful energy that makes you smile without even realizing it. The way they look at each other, tease each other, and slowly grow closer feels natural and heart fluttering.
Arnold brings a charming confidence that makes every scene lively, while Tua adds softness and sincerity that balances everything beautifully. Together they create moments that feel sweet, exciting, and full of promise. Watching them feels like witnessing something slowly bloom into something special.

Dreaming of the first OF
As a BL connisuer, I felt like I had to watch this one so I did. You should too, honestly, but don't expect the same provocative chaotic splendor that made the first one so delicious.Let me start by thanking Timmy, Boston, and Nick. These are the characters who gave me the most satisfaction during the largely unnecessary drama that ensued throughout OFDO.
Timmy was the voice of reason. I commend you, sir.
Boston was somewhat the old Boston but largely the new Boston. A little predictable but not devastatingly so. That said his chaos agent role in OF (sometimes extreme and heartless, but also believable) was what drove that story. That piece was missing here, and no other character really stepped into the void. (Sorry Raffy.)
Boston and Nick gave me one of the only moments in OFDO where I felt deeply affected by the story. Their brief exchange really got me right in the feels. Despite my luke warm response to this one, I would absolutely tune in to OF3 to see those two work their stuff out, whatever that might look like.
I really wanted to like the rest of this, but the conflicts were a little too dumb for my taste. I mean, come on, real hurtful betrayals went down in OF! There were real issues to sort out. This stuff felt petty and forced in comparison. I was mad at almost every character, and not for bad behavior, but for stupidly extreme responses that were unwarranted by the situation.
The couple that I enjoyed the most was Rome and Raffy. Their drama felt real and their responses were earned reactions to trifling behavior. But even that had moments where one or the other of them was doing dumb stuff that was needlessly cruel to the other person, made them look like a fool (especially Rome), or both. Even still, it felt more relatable.
This is probably gonna be unpopular, but Jack is a jackass. I was over him early on. No amount of warm fuzzies at the end could fix that for me.
And Tua and Arnold had way too many cringe moments. Plus they look like grown men pretending to be boys. Something about their story in particular made that stick out for me even more than the others. Perhaps its because in reality JossGawin are sexy AF, especially Joss and his salted caramel lollipop looking ass.
And are we just gonna forget about Pete and his literal crimes!? Where's the money, man?
At the end of the day, I think it was the writing and directing that left me underwhelmed, although there were some acting fails as well.
