Somewhat Silly Scammers
After Perfect10Liners, I was super excited to see Junior and Mark as leads again. Plus, I was excited to see Ohm and Poon act together for the first time! Both pairings did not disappoint! The story definitely centers more on Junior and Mark, but frankly, their characters have a better/more complex storyline anyway, so I was pretty happy with the split. I do think there were a few points in the show where the conflict seemed a little too easily resolved compared to the weight it should have had, but I think that's the kinda thing you're bound to run into when you're doing a romcom with betrayal in it. Still, this was a great watch with a good balance of humor and seriousness.Tim (Junior) is a scammer and his current plan is to scam the CEO of a large mall, Pai (Mark), by making Pai fall in love with him so he can marry him and take his money. Of course, the one rule that every scammer should follow is not to fall in love with the target. Tim spends months and months winning Pai over, pretending to be the perfect boyfriend, etc. until he can finally propose to Pai. Just when everything seems perfect, Pai's younger cousin North (Poon) elopes with U (Ohm), who he randomly met on a hiking trip and has known less than a week. The sudden marriage makes Pai concerned that U might be a scammer, and makes Pai nervous about weddings in general. Tim, realizing Pai is right about U being a scammer, has to try to not blow his own cover by outing U and manage to convince Pai they should still get married. But, all truths will eventually have to be revealed, and at this point it seems Tim has already majorly failed the most important rule of scamming.
I think this show was really fun overall. Honestly, the idea of Tim and U being scammers would have been much more intriguing to me if this wasn't a romcom, but was more of an intense and serious drama. I found that sometimes the comedy took away from the intensity of the whole getting betrayed by the person you love thing. Still, if you like a more balanced show, this one definitely has its ups and downs with serious portions broken up by the more comedic sections. Some of the conflicts and plot points are lost a little too fast (I feel like we totally forgot about the debt collectors??), but the acting from Mark especially really made me enjoy this one. Worth watching if you need something with some depth, but don't want something too intense.

it's fun
It was interesting and fun—even though I can’t stand liars, even fictional ones, I really enjoyed it. But it was also pretty unusual, since I still have a fairly short list of BLs I’ve watched (this is number 13), and the proposal in the very first episode out of 12 surprised me, even though you could have expected it from the title—plus, you should read the description before watching, not like I did.paitim
I really, really fell for them. Tim was looking at him with those eyes—ohhh, if someone looked at me like that, I’d melt. How can they fake chemistry like that?

I didn’t like them at all in the first half of the series; their start was so illogical and cringey, in my opinion, that my eyes nearly popped out of my head watching their relationship develop and them getting married at the snap of a finger; but over time, they became a little more interesting.

not the best but still good
The story was good overall, not something i had watched before personally, it had funny moments but without being cringe that made me genuinely laugh, good character development and good acting too.About the story i have to say i'm really sad about the drastic change that TimPai relationship had (totally understandable if you're scammed lol) but what i mean is de difference from the start to the later chapters even after Tim was forgiven by Pai (supposedly) like i understand that trust is not something you fix overnight, but if there is love and trust to get married again... idk is just really missed the way they were when their relationship started, you can tell Pai was never the same.
UNorth although having the same problem, i think they handled it better, U made sure to gain North's trust again by actual actions and not just words and promises, giving North his space and respecting whatever final decision he made about the future of their relationship.
The point of the comparison i'm making is not me saying that TimPai should've done or act the same, i know reactions are different i get that, is just about the fact that both got married again but one felt actually genuine and the other one ¿? idk.
Also i really loved North's character develpoment, i think he's the one who changed the most, for the better ofc, he communicated more and was just more mature, but i'm satisfied with the overall development of all characters. Not sure i could say that about the end tho, i wish i got to see more of TimPai after they made up or even after they got married, they mentioned through out the whole show how Tim had all these plans for his future with Pai and i would've liked to see that, even just a little compilation or a time skip.
Apart from that i really liked the show, ppl said it was just a silly romcom but me and the characters cried a lot😭

MUST WATCH
I love this series!! sobrang ganda ng acting ng JuniorMark and Ohmpoon. I could believe na dinrop koto in episode 1 before and decided to get back at this now. It's not just a typical bl series! I just hope the ending have a little more time since I feel na medyo narush sya. Hope si Da Zhan din nabigyan ng more screen time. Overall this is a very good series, soft and light... After I watch this series my starting to love my JuniorMark naaaa. They really deserve all the recognition theyre gettingWas this review helpful to you?
I honestly didn’t expect to love Romance Scammer this much
The story itself is really good, but I do feel like it needed more time or a few more episodes to fully flesh everything out. There were moments that deserved deeper development, and you can tell the potential was there for something even bigger.
That said, it’s still one of the best series I’ve seen this year.
I’ll admit, I completely misjudged Junior and Mark — their performances were actually impressive and added so much depth to the story.
And of course, my biases OhmPoon… they really carried the emotional weight and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, a solid watch that deserved more recognition.

My Romance Scammer is a fantastic Thai series that perfectly combines romance, comedy, and emotional moments. The lead actors have amazing chemistry, making every scene enjoyable and believable. The story is entertaining from start to finish, with enough surprises to keep viewers invested. The charming characters and lighthearted atmosphere make it an easy binge-watch. Does what it says and delivers what's promised
It's a lighthearted romantic comedy from start to finish and it does just that—lightens up the mood and makes you believe in fairy-tales for a couple of hours.You obviously don't watch it for a deep plot or a hidden meaning. Compared to many similar rom coms, it was fully executed: the conflict, the humour, the chemistry, the closure—everything's there.
For me personally, JuMark is one of ~3 pairings in BL industry, who can satisfy a viewer even without a NC scene (and I'm a big fan of good NC scenes). If it were others, I would've felt robbed, but with these guys I'm down for the cute bubbly vibe.
And again, I appreciate GMM Thee V for making another series that includes mature love without the student tropes 😌👍
Kudos to OhmPoon—a pairing we didn't know we needed, but we were seated for it during the whole show.

I was hooked from the first episode
I will never stop praising JuniorMark's acting. Everyone should watch and learn how a couple should look and treat each other. There's more to portraying a couple than holding hands, kissing, and calling it a day. Their performance made me truly feel their love for each other and took me through a lot of emotions in such a natural way. Mark didn't even need to speak to make me burst into tears. They did such good work they made me ignore the bad script, but whatever. I would say this has become the best work I've seen from them so far.And of course I don't want to leave OhmPoon out because they were just as important and protagonists in this series. I started watching this show because of JM but thanks to that I got to know them, their first time working together as a pair, and I was really surprised by how good their chemistry was. There were scenes where it was simply impossible not to laugh; they were like the spark of the series.

PEAK SHOW MUST WATCH
My Romance Scammer — 10/10 💯❤️My Romance Scammer is honestly PEAK. 😭❤️ I went into this drama expecting something entertaining, but it completely exceeded my expectations. The story had me hooked from the beginning, and every episode made me want to keep watching because I genuinely needed to know what was going to happen next.
The plot is such a fun combination of romance, comedy, drama, and twists. I really enjoyed how the story was developed because there was always something happening, but it still gave the characters enough time to develop. The relationships between the characters are interesting, and I loved seeing how everything slowly unfolded.
And the chemistry??? HELLO??? 😭❤️ The romantic moments were SO GOOD. There were scenes where I was literally smiling at my screen like an idiot. 😂 The interactions between the characters felt natural and entertaining, and I was completely invested in their relationships.
Also, can we PLEASE talk about the actors??? THEY ARE SO HANDSOME. 😭😭❤️ The visuals are absolutely insane. Every time they appeared on screen, I had to remind myself to focus on the actual story. 😂 But thankfully, they also delivered great performances, so it wasn’t just pretty faces—the characters actually felt believable and memorable.
I also really enjoyed the humor. There were so many moments that made me laugh, while the more emotional scenes gave the story some depth. The drama knows how to balance its different elements without making everything feel too heavy.
Overall, 10/10 from me. 💯❤️ The plot is entertaining, the characters are lovable, the chemistry is amazing, the actors are gorgeous, and the story kept me completely invested. It’s exactly the kind of drama that makes you say “one more episode” and then suddenly it’s 3 a.m. 😭😂

I love the chemistry between the main leads I mean they are amazing together just perfect.....I loved this couple from perfect 10 liners series and now after this series they are one of the favourites💜....this series was so wholesome....if you like the couple I think you should definitely watch it there is no doubt in it💗...but if you're looking for some realistic series which elaborates about ground reality then this is not cup of your tea...Overall it's cute,fun and very romantic series like you can literally feel butterflies in your stomach when they say "teerak" to each other 😩🤌...I just love these pookies and I really want to see them together in another series to come 💕

Good pacing. No idiotic plot. Clean, simple, enjoyable.
I have no notes. GMMTV has been a bit of a flop for me lately and nothing has been hitting the spot so I didn't have much of a high expectation coming into MRS. Suffice to say all my expectations were blown out of the window.While the plot might not be anything that'll blown you away with plot twists or never seen before concept, it's comforting in its simplicity and very well executed story.
The series was well-paced, every episode was filled with content, stories and some sufficient romantic scenes without abandoning the overarching plot. There's no idiotic Gmmtv ep11 curses, no nuisance dramatic misunderstanding plot for the sake of drama. This is not one of those shows where lack of communication and dramas bottle up and overboard till everything explode at the very end and then quickly scramble up some resolution in the end. The writer utilized all 12 eps to craft a moving, funny and content-packed story. While some of the character's background might not be relatable, their struggles, weaknesses and growth are something I think MANY viewers (especially Asians) will find very relatable.
Characters' chemistries are good, although admittedly I care more about the main couple (TimPai) compared to the secondary couple (YuNorth). YuNorth's actors performances felt a bit stiff at times and take some viewing to ease into, but generally still didn't tamper the series for me. I have to commend Pai's actor specifically. His acting truly was the star of the show for me, he performed well on some of the more difficult or emotional scene of the show that truly sell the plot and story to the viewers.
Additionally, I also enjoy some details about Thai Chinese' cultures that's woven into the series thanks to Pai's family background.
This show quickly becomes one of my top 5 favorite series from GMMTV. Not because it's an extraordinary 'never seen before' concept, but because they took a concept that works well, and worked it well. Good execution, enjoyable, funny, with good chemistry and generally good acting.
