First impression: a high-quality entertainment that is both fun and emotionally engaging
The premiere episodes of My Romance Scammer make the show’s intentions clear from the very beginning: to tell a romance built on lies, but with a tone that feels light, playful, and fully aware of its own style. The premise alone is enough to spark interest: two scammers become romantically involved with heirs of a powerful billionaire family. The story wastes no time stretching out the introduction. Instead, it starts with energy, jumping straight into the central conflict and creating a dynamic opening that immediately draws the viewer in.One of the biggest strengths of these early episodes is the pacing. Rather than following the more traditional structure of romance dramas, which often spend several episodes building the relationship, the series moves quickly through these stages. In a short amount of time we see meetings, shared routines, and even major relationship decisions. At first this speed might feel a bit exaggerated, but within the logic of the story it makes sense. When a scam is unfolding, the romance also needs to move quickly enough to feel convincing to the person being deceived. This narrative choice shifts the focus to something more compelling: the moment when a carefully calculated plan begins to collide with feelings that may never have been part of the strategy.
The cast also plays a key role in making this opening work. The chemistry between the leads is evident and helps make the relationships believable, even when they are built on manipulation and secrets. The interactions between the couples move naturally between humor, tension, and tenderness, creating an emotional rhythm that keeps the episodes enjoyable to watch. While one storyline leans more heavily into drama and emotional intensity, the other brings a lighter and slightly awkward energy, helping balance the overall tone of the series.
From a technical standpoint, the production also stands out for its visual care. The series features elegant settings, well-designed costumes, and cinematography that reinforces the atmosphere of wealth and status surrounding the characters. At times, however, this polished aesthetic can feel a little too perfect, creating a slight sense of artificiality for a story centered on deception and manipulation. Even so, the refined visual style makes the series engaging to watch and strengthens its entertainment appeal.
Despite a few exaggerated situations and some narrative choices that require a bit of suspension of disbelief, the premiere of My Romance Scammer works very well as an introduction to the story. The opening episodes manage to balance romance, humor, and tension effectively, creating a narrative that is easy to follow and difficult to stop watching. The result is an engaging start that sparks curiosity not only about the characters’ feelings, but also about the inevitable moment when all the lies finally come to light.

Nicely done
I loved every moment of this and then it lulled. Only one reason: length. Beautiful concept. Great acting. Humorous. Playful, light but emotional. It was good, not denying this, but carrying it to this length waned the enthusiasm. The broken phase lasted too long. This is not to say that forgiveness should be given easily but a bit more concisely.I have no fault with any of the actors. The old and new cp did well. I will say the series benefitted with Louis in that role. He made the moments a bit more enjoyable. Poon has a way of being adorable even when he's not trying. Ohm a better fit for Poon but still he lacks the chaotic energy to make them perfect. Mark and Junior still good but I will like to see them 'youthful'. The dress code used here aged them rather than refined.
Storyline: I struggled to forgive Tim more than Yu. Yu tried his best to make North happy, giving him what he needed. Tim kept inserting himself in Pai's life without allowing him the space to heal or giving him reasons to forgive. Pai's love for him, as he met his emotional needs, was really the reason for their reconciliation. Yu became a scammer as he was trained to do so and out of necessity. Tim chose this as an easy out to keep his family home and bring his family back. Ironically, they didn’t want it. I felt his pain but I didn't feel the remorse.
The ending was nice without dragging on. A good watch

Someone stop me… I’ll spend everything on this show!!!
Guys, are they scamming each other or us? Because I couldn’t find a single moment where Tim wasn’t in love with Pai. It’s not bad acting or anything… it’s pure love that bloomed right from the start. So “My Romance Scammer” is officially my comfort show from now on.
What can I even say… that cute way Pai calls “Teerak” every time—our little Tim just melts, and honestly, so do I.
The dialogues are everything… too precious to forget.
Like when Pai said he needed some alone time because he was sad, and Tim replied,
“There’s no way I’ll let that happen… come here.”
That scene is living in my heart rent-free.
And when Pai left everything for Tim and said, “I’d lose everything, but I’ll still have you”… I swear, I’m going to die from their sweetness.
I just can’t express how deeply they love each other. How could our Tim ever betray our cutie when his heart beats like a drum even in the smallest moments?
The story is exactly the same as you see in the teaser, nothing more, except that one of the actors has been replaced.
And our so-called comedian actor? He is now officially a sexy, hot, and charming romantic lead.
Girl, you NEED to see that hairstyle of our junior. Sir, please give me one chance—if mark ignores you, I’ll bring you heaven myself.
And it’s better if we don’t even talk about Mark… he’s literally the sexiest and kindest person in the whole show—like all-in-one. My Pookie. Even if I were in a life-or-death situation, I’d never betray him.
Then, Ohm and Poon—our controversial couple—I honestly didn’t find the change to be a problem. In fact, I loved the pairing. Poon is literally the only one on earth who can play North—fight me if you think I’m wrong.
Ohm, my ex dream partner… I’m glad he’s doing well. Funny roles suit him too, but I’m still stuck in UWMA (okay, I’ll stop there).
The songs are amazing, and the story is so cute. There’s really nothing bad about this series—it’s just pure, fun romance.
Okay fine… there is one problem.
These characters don’t exist in real life. They’re just here to make us delusional again. We should seriously ask P’Tha to ban shows like this… it’s too much for our hearts.
For me, it’s a 10/10.

Not much to say about this one.
My Romance Scammer feels exactly like a Hallmark movie — cutesy, funny, super cheesy, and very much a classic rom-com. It’s the story of two men who fell in love, lied to each other, messed everything up… and somehow found their way back for a second chance. The second couple follows almost the exact same pattern, just at a quicker pace. That’s pretty much it.On the surface, I really enjoyed it. The main characters are incredibly charming and endearing, and the supporting cast is just as adorable. I completely switched my brain off, embraced the rom-com vibes, and let myself enjoy the warm, fuzzy ride. The series is great at delivering feel-good moments, which makes it very easy to forgive its flaws. You just have to accept that this is pure BL heaven — where every problem gets solved quickly, easily, and with almost zero consequences.
That said, if you look a little closer, the central premise is shaky, the character development doesn’t always make sense, the pacing drags in places, and the music is pretty average. What saves it are the lovely acting and the extremely likeable characters.
Still… my heart says it was ridiculously sweet. Because of that, I’m rounding my 6.5 up to a 7.
Overall, it’s a light, fluffy series that will really hit the spot for a lot of people. Just put on your rose-colored glasses, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the cheese.

Here we go again....
Unfortunately this series also follows the same line of most GMM shows. I wanted it to be good, the story had potential. It's like one of those early 2000 rom-coms, light-hearted, unhealthy but charming. Now that it's over, my opinion still remains the same. The things that happened to Pai was embarrassing and super traumatic, but it's just tossed aside & trivialised for cute moments between the couple. No serious consequences whatsoever, no real human being is that much of a saint. Obvious lazy writing & bad direction. It's like they want to finish this as soon as possible & get started on the next project.
Everything is super unrealistic, it borders on annoying. Everyone looks like they are about to go to a photoshoot, even while sleeping. Too polished and artificial. It's like looking pretty is the primary objective. I think there is a fatigue of these kinds of shows. There is a need for something raw & grounded.
The leads have chemistry & it's entertaining, that's about it. A light-hearted watch, yes but I wish there were more compelling stories & performances.

The story introduces serious emotional damage but treats it like a minor inconvenience
Decided to give this a shot since it has a “high rating”. There are things about this series that just didn’t work for me.The series touches on betrayal, manipulation, financial loss, and broken trust. These are deeply personal experiences that are not easily resolved. Yet instead of allowing those emotions to breathe, the story rushes past them. Conflict is introduced, but before the audience can fully process it, it is brushed off with humor or playful moment/banter. This creates a disconnect that makes the emotional stake feel shallow.
What is frustrating is that the actors actually deliver a good performances, and there are moments where the emotional tension could have landed. However, the pacing undercuts everything. Forgiveness happens too quickly, consequences feel minimal, and the narrative does not allow space for grief, anger, or reflection.
I get that it’s a rom-com, but that doesn’t mean the emotions have to feel this rushed. The humor just feels out of place sometimes, especially when it cuts into serious moments.
It had potential, but it needed to slow down and let the story breathe a bit more. The performances carried, but the writing really didn’t.

Overall it was good but could have been better especially with TimPai
I am someone who really likes contract marriage, scam marriage, forced marriage etc so obviously this one made me have high expectations and to some point it also met my expectations. Especially the initial episodes where Tim and Yu are scamming Pai and North. I totally, absolutely loved the writing that we had for YuNorth. They had this wedding and then he realized he's a scammer and Yu makes up for it, immediately apologized and divorced to show north he loved him and accepted all the punishment. It was really touching. The problems with his mother was also handled perfectly with Yu chosing north over his mother. But in case of TimPai the story kinda went downhill after the scam was revealed. Everything was perfect , tim realized he liked pai and decided to start fresh but unfortunately that doesn't happen. The thing that bothered me was Pai gave up his entire life to protect Tim, he gave up on his career and family but what did Tim do? Instead of apologizing and making up like Yu did he instead harrasses Pai and exploits his weakness. He does make up for things later but those 2 or 3 episodes where he is just forcing Pai to stay married was annoying. Worse Pai's family who Pai dedicated his life to didn't bother looking for him or checking on him until Tim asked them to🙄 like wtf. Even Tim's family was the same. They abandon their son who was just out of college with a huge debt and leave the country and then blame him for becoming a scammer. They didn't even show up at the wedding. So that's kinda where they're at.
I felt TimPai's story was not used to it's full potential. Although Mark did make me cry a lot during this series. I felt it could be a lot better cz i was here for the drama, begging and yearning after the scam reveal but that was kinda meh.
Overall it's a good watch but could be amazing. Gmmtv just sucks at screenplay

Love, lies, and everything in between
Such an entertaining watch, a mix of charm, tension, and emotional moments that kept me engaged throughout. I really liked how the story plays with trust and deception without losing its romantic core, constantly blurring the line between what’s real and what isn’t. The dynamic between the leads works really well, that push and pull kept me invested the whole time. And honestly, JuniorMark never disappoints, I loved them here. Junior’s acting especially stood out to me, he made everything feel more believable and pulled me into the story even more. It’s not perfect and some parts could have been explored more, but overall it’s a really enjoyable drama that knows how to keep you hooked. Was this review helpful to you?
Love, Lies, and Luxury: A Perfectly Addictive Start
Ohm returns as Yu, a charming scammer, and the role suits him well. Pairing him with newcomer Poon as North turns out to be a strong move, with chemistry that feels natural and engaging. The premise pulls you in right away. Cousins North and Pai, heirs to a billionaire empire, both becoming victims of romance scams sounds dramatic, but the show treats it with just the right balance of tension and fun. I really loved that the story is set in modern day Thailand where same sex marriage is legal and completely normalized. It adds warmth and realism instead of making it a big dramatic point.
Seeing Junior as Tim and Mark as Pat again made me so happy. Perfect 10 Liners fans, we are being fed. Junior plays Tim as a flawless scammer, smooth and calculated, and he owns every scene he is in. The pacing of episode one is wild in the best way. Tim and Pai date, move in together, talk about kids, and get engaged within the first twenty minutes. Faster than my dinner and I was laughing and shocked at the same time. I know it is a scam but I am absolutely locked in.
Visually, the show is beautiful. The office spaces look sleek, the rich house set screams money, and the forest scenery is stunning. I loved the parallel of both couples falling into the water during their first meeting. It felt playful and symbolic without being cheesy. The music fits perfectly, the acting is strong across the board, and the chemistry between all the leads is convincing.
First few episodes was pure fun, fast paced, dramatic, and addictive. If this is just the beginning, my Sundays for the next two and a half months are going to be a blast. I cannot wait to see how love built on lies starts to crack.

Junior Mark ate as usual
I honestly don't get why so many people dislike this series. My Romance Scammer has been like a breath of fresh air for me. Junior Mark have done a phenomenal job and especially Mark, I just love him as Pai. P10L made Junior Mark a memorable duo and I love that MRS does the same. Junior absolutely slays the chaotic, funny character in both the series and Mark being the stoic, stren one in My Romance Scammer is great. Honestly can't see anyone else playing the role of Pai as good as Mark. Also, can't forget to mention Ohmpoon. Their story was chaotic from the beginning and I loved every second of it. Definitely a must watch. Was this review helpful to you?
It had potential but...
I have not much complain about the acting cast but the problem with this drama is the story that have potential but definitely didn't use it fully. The story didn't have much depth to it as in you don't get to feel like how much pai has been suffering to make audience understand or feel him same with other characters like there was no depth to it at all. Take it as north or yu or tim no depth in their characters everthing just happens. Especially when pai got to know about the scam he was hurt but next day he was bickering with tim like how...?? He cheated you but you went with him to stay with him. I got it that he didn't have a money whatever but have no backup you were ceo come on... also forgive grandpa with one hug just wow .....and parents non existent ... pai was ceo, Strong, smart, can start his own business also did he not have any friend like...? I know it just drama but this much plothole in a story... should have worked in story plot.
Especially in just romance genre without much drama/ angst they don't have good story that have depth. I feel like after watching both MRS and duang with you i again need to stop watching drama altogether hahaha...
