Untamed???
Starting with the cinematography... who handled this series? They deserve to be hired for every GMMTV series because it was absolutely stunning. Every shot looked so well thought out and cinematic. The story was good too. I won't say it's completely new since it shares some similarities with other fantasy series I've watched, but they executed it really well. I also like how they mixed fantasy with political issues, which made the story feel even more relevant.
One thing that made this series work so well is the casting. This is where I realized I really can't act because I would probably be laughing through most of these scenes. Everyone did an amazing job. As for Sky and Nani, I already expected great performances because I know they can act. And of course, Nani absolutely nailed the action scenes.
One thing I couldn't stop noticing though... why does the ending of Wu remind me so much of The Untamed? Even the OST gives off a similar feeling. Is this becoming the trend for bromance series? 😂

Perfection!
Now this is what you call an amazing drama. It has all the elements you need and it was executed with perfection.I loved how they mixed Thai and Chinese in this drama, my two favorite languages. And loved the Chinese music.
It has dark elements, but also beautiful elements and a lot of good life lessons in it. The cinematography was stunning!!
It is always an extra joyful thing when they have short extra clips at the end of an episode.
The fighting scenes were done great!
And a little detail is that i liked the tikking sound effect, it was exactly what made the excution of this drama even more perfect.
The whole cast did such a great job!
Krist was amazing, i didn't even recognize him at first!
And who needs a BL when you can have the fantastic bromance chemistry of Sky and Nani. They have more chemistry than a whole lot of BL couples out there.
I highly recommend watching this drama.

Bruhhhh!!!!! Their bromance is having sooooo muchhh chemistry!! ??
The storyline is damn amazing!! Their connection and plot is truly worth watching. The music.. godddd I'm loving it. Visuals were amazing tbh but the monkey guy could be a Lil more devilish or something.. cause he's cute (idk lil for me ig😅). The thing I wasn't expecting was phuwin and sea entry in the story. Damn, even for short time their role has wow impact. Must-watch series and it's definitely going to my re-watch list. Was this review helpful to you?

More Than Just a Story, An Unforgettable Journey
WU is honestly one of the best series I've watched. The story is engaging from start to finish, with great pacing, emotional moments, and characters that are easy to become attached to. Every episode kept me invested, and I never felt bored. The acting is outstanding. The entire cast did an amazing job, and the chemistry between the characters felt natural and believable. The soundtrack also deserves praise for perfectly matching the mood of each scene and making the emotional moments even more impactful.
Even though the series isn't officially marketed as a BL, the relationship between the two male leads definitely feels like more than friendship. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they literally end up married (LOL), so it's hard not to see the romantic undertones. If you enjoy strong bonds between male leads, you'll probably appreciate their relationship.
This is definitely a series I'll rewatch because it has everything I look for: an amazing story, incredible performances, beautiful music, and memorable characters. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-made and emotionally satisfying series. It's an easy 10/10 for me.

SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONGERRRRR
GMMTV has really outdone themselves with this one in terms of production quality. The visuals are INSANE: the editing and CGI team deserve all the praise because the quality is honestly cinematic. The directing is sharp and the sound design IS SO SO SO incredible. The OSTs and tracks add SO much atmosphere and are constantly gripping you (half of the time I was absolutely blown away by the music). Now, about the story. I gave it an 8 because while I love plots that dive into supernatural folklore, there are some gaps that hold it back. Li Puo’s arc feels unresolved, and the whole “Lord Warrior” concept is left too vague. At first it’s portrayed as purely evil, then suddenly it’s above humans? But if that’s the case, why is it committing/making people commit evil acts? The same goes for Yao’s sudden shift from villain to not‑evil. I don’t mind the twist, but it needed more explanation to really land. When a narrative makes such a 180-degree turn especially near the end, clarity is everything. Without it I personally felt that the impact got diluted. The Prime Minister’s storyline also feels underdeveloped, like it needed more detail, more INFO, if nothing else.
Pete’s backstory is also kind of underexplored. We don’t really see how he grew up, why he clashed with his sister, or how they reconciled. Compared to Niran, whose struggles are fleshed out beautifully, a part of Pete's arc is sidelined. It’s frustrating because obviously the conflict with his sister is brought in in the beginning and then they do nothing with it. And in a similar fashion I feel like it's mostly Pete talking to Niran and reassuring him about stuff, but Niran doesn't necessarily touch on Pete's past or what he's been through as much?
I think this is all just a broader issue of GMMTV wanting to freaking condense all their series and make them short as hell, which, WHY??? Why would you do that bro. Like the last series with Sky and Nani was freaking 16 episodes man, wth.
ANYWAY now onto the good stuff:
I became a fan of Sky and Nani only a little before this started, but HOLYYY the acting is SO GOOD. Sky brings such quiet sadness to Niran, and some of the scenes when Niran is speaking to others or explaining himself, his expressions had me so impressed. He seems to have a very old-soul vibe. I feel so much for Niran even though it's such a short series, the way he talks, the way he does things, the way he protects. Also, there are a few monologues that Niran has throughout the series, and WOW, whoever wrote those kudos to them because I'll be taking away so much from it.
Nani’s portrayal of Pete is equally impressive (specially if you've seen him give interviews and such and know about his personality a little); he nails the emotional range, from anger to vulnerability to maturity to the DEMON SCENES HELLO???, and makes Pete someone you just want to protect. I ADOREEEE Pete. Like that is MY kid now nobody touch him 😤.
P’Godji deserves a shout‑out too; her performance is PEAK, especially considering how different her character is from her real‑life personality. Honestly, the entire cast has absolutely DELIVERED, no matter how big or small their role. Man I'm running out of adjectives to describe how I absolutely loved watching Sky, Nani, and everyone else.
All in all, I do recommend it, it's a very fun watch.

Wu....will woo u GMMTV HIT A JACKPOT???
Pros:Very New genre of story for BL gmmtv.Stellar perfomances and cinematography🎦.All the actors are well casted according to their roles. The cameos are very intresting and 100%done with sinecrity. The leads chemistry is chemistrying soo hard,I'seated 🍿Phi'Krist 😈character is amazing everytime he is on screen such a thrill to watch him perform,he is nailing it.The political and mythological aspects are well blended.I love that the characters have their own flaws and they are acknowledging it.I absolutely love when we have protogonits,anti-hero and antagonists it will make the storytelling much more intresting and thrilling.Cons:Only con is short episodes🤧
ep:1-3 Sky(Narin) and Nani(Pete) did very good job in their respective roles. The cinematogrphy of this series is amazing not typical gmmtv it kinda screams high budget💸💸 Netflix (budget is budgeting lol).An unexpected but well served cameo(Sea),as a viewer i was excited. The pilot episode has smooth pacing and establishes major character traits and dynamics and peaks viewer intrest with"mystery" ☠️🪄✨🔮 and eery elements. Not really sure if it is gonna lean into full blown horror genre, but as of ep1 it is thriller with some dark elements. One more thing to discuss is Pete's subtle comedy,Nani as an actor is performing well than his previous. The 2&3 episodes catch up on pacing and we are getting into main plot without any delay. Some more Cameos(Phuwin,Great) did absolutely great performances their chemistry with other actors flow naturally as establishing these characters have past together which peaks audiences intrest.

WU Keeps Surprising Me in the Best Possible Way
Honestly, WU keeps getting better every episode. What initially caught my attention was the fantasy/action concept inspired by Chinese mythology, but what surprised me most is how emotionally grounded the characters and performances feel.Sky and Nani have such an unexpectedly balanced dynamic as Niran and Pete. Before the series aired, I thought Niran would be the more playful and chaotic one, but Sky portrayed him as someone melancholic, emotionally restrained, and quietly lonely instead. Meanwhile, Nani’s Pete is intense, emotionally unstable, impulsive, yet somehow still naturally goofy and lovable at the same time.
One thing I really appreciate about Nani’s performance is how expressive he is even in silence. His emotional scenes don’t feel exaggerated — the small details like breathing, eye movements, trembling lips, and subtle expressions make Pete’s pain feel very real. At the same time, his action scenes are equally impressive. He makes Pete feel dangerous, vulnerable, and emotionally exhausted all at once.
The chemistry between the cast feels natural, the fight scenes are exciting, and the supernatural lore keeps getting more interesting every week. WU honestly feels like one of GMMTV’s most ambitious and visually unique projects lately.
Definitely worth watching if you enjoy fantasy, action, emotional character arcs, and darker supernatural themes.
