OMG their chemistry is driving me crazy!!!!!

I can't control myself , y are they so adorable ? One of the best enimes-to-lovers series after H2H series this is the second one I really really like / adore . Two rivals started spending time together and eventually fall for each other , the way I am saying ik it seems kinda boring , but in reality it is so damn good , highly recommended from my side !!!!! I am now a big fan of this incredible series , literally some parts were so hot and I totally like the concept and the storyline , after these two got together they became even more cuter , I can't believe those were actually show - offs , they got to know each other's weakness . They hooked up two times and the last ep kiss was very passionate . Tum and Oh turns so sweet later on .... Even though it's a short series it's concept is so damn good that it blew my mind it's flawless . I would like to give it a 10 on 10

You're so annoying (。♡‿♡。)

The three words you most want to hear out of the mouth of someone you love.. "𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨"
That's the most romantic thing you can hear in the right context and this is that context.

Love Me If You Swear follows Tum, the leader of the Nuea-In gang who's been having a streak of rotten luck lately, topped off by the utmost embarrassment when his gang's insignia is stolen by the leader of their rival gang, Oh Pathumphaisan. Realizing that all this is a result of his unfulfilled vow which he took to become the gang leader, he sets off to visit 9 temples to erase his bad luck. But who else does he run into but Oh, who is also on the 9 temples circuit. Now the two of them reluctantly and somehow enthusiastically set off on this journey, and end up finding that maybe their "𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘺" isn't so bad after all.

Usually this is the kind of plot I'd expect 10 episodes for, one for each temple and a final one to resolve all plotlines, but I am so impressed by how well this was done within four episodes, without compromising on any aspects.

The plot and premise are impeccable, ergo, so is the writing. The 9 temples aren't forgotten in erstwhile, there's no sudden pivot into a plotline that doesn't belong. Of course, credit to it being just four episodes, but keeping it tight while also exploring character dynamics is not an easy job and it was brilliant.

Speaking of character dynamics, I know very few dramas where I love both the characters who irritate each other and that usually only happens because they don't have strange power dynamics and they have a lot of depth, as individuals or as a couple. Check on all of that here. Tum and Oh are both extremely complex characters with an equally layered relationship.

Their relationship is the majority of the story - how it develops from their initial meeting and I thought it was super well done. It was a little messy and a lot romantic, and huge props to Surf and Java. They were.. oof! That chemistry is going to keep me up at night, it was scary good.

But of course, to have a balanced drama, you need other aspects as well, and here it was comedy. You already know I loved it. Not just the scenes between Oh and Tum, but all the supporting characters as well. All the actors served, even the actors who had one dialogue! Very well done. My standout comedic performance was Louis though, he and Surf as Messy and Tum had such a cute friendship, I loved it.

Good story, romance, friendships, everything about this was perfect. I had such a great time watching it and this may find it's way onto my re-watch list. Where else will I find a scarily accurate representation of boys fighting? (Seriously, scary accurate, I could not stop laughing)

Agile, romantic, and surprisingly mature for its short runtime

Within the anthology project MuTeLuv, the arc Love Me if You Swear proves that sometimes four tightly written episodes can say more than long seasons filled with detours. The series embraces a lean, straightforward structure, centering on a classic enemies-to-lovers trope without getting lost in excessive dramatics. The result is a story that feels agile, romantic, and surprisingly mature for its short runtime.

The premise may sound familiar: two proud rivals, constant bickering, ongoing competition, and tension that practically spills off the screen. Still, the script finds freshness by focusing less on “bad luck” or external obstacles and more on the organic development of Tum and Oh’s bond. The story avoids artificial conflicts and instead highlights the emotional growth of its leads, making every step closer feel earned rather than forced.

Much of the series’ impact comes from the chemistry between Surf and Java. Even though this was the first project they filmed together, their connection is striking. There’s intensity in their teasing, lightness in the comedic moments, and genuine depth in the more serious scenes. When the story slows down to explore themes like family, regret, and vulnerability, their dynamic moves beyond physical attraction and gains real emotional weight. It’s in this balance that the series truly shines.

The direction leans into a romantic comedy tone while maintaining a certain level of maturity. The humor works most of the time, even if it may not land for everyone. A few physical confrontations or exaggerated moments reveal minor technical limitations, but nothing that undermines the overall experience. On the contrary, when comedy gives way to drama, the cast shows enough confidence and charisma to carry the heavier scenes with ease.

Another highlight is how the romantic tension is handled. The show doesn’t waste the chemistry it carefully builds. When the characters finally cross the line from rivalry to intimacy, it happens naturally and consensually, reinforcing a sense of authenticity. There are no grand speeches or unnecessary melodrama, just two young men acknowledging their desires and vulnerabilities, which makes their relationship feel honest and real.

Visually, the production embraces a light atmosphere, almost with a comfortable summer vibe that matches its heartfelt and unpretentious tone. The soundtrack supports the emotions without overpowering them. In such a short format, every aesthetic choice feels intentional, reinforcing the idea of a story that is simple, yet sincere.

Ultimately, Love Me if You Swear works because it knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn’t try to reinvent the genre, but instead executes a timeless formula with confidence and, at times, real spark. It’s short, sweet, and effective, leaving behind that feeling that sometimes, less truly is more.

Gmmtv can do it in 4 eps??

It's actually one of the best bl stories gmmtv made this year and it has just four eps. I didn't watch H2H but I read the reactions and saw the edits and the SurfJava part was pretty sunken. I was sceptical about this but they got my interest in Roommate chaos pilot and now they earned my heart in this 4 eps long arc. It wasn't that hard, was it, GmmTV? I'm happy their story didn't really focus on the bad luck and how to be lucky again but rather on their romance and how it naturally developed without any cringe stuff happening around them and unnecessary drama... (New Siwaj I'm looking at you) so I'm really happy about this part and since GmmTV does better shorter stories and the 12/10 eps long, I hope they'll do something like this again but with the same director or director who can convey the stories well in a few eps.

Now SurfJava took my breath away. I didn't even expect them to do so much here, even JanJingJing bed scene was cut but they went all the way and I liked how they cooked something from the incredible sexual tension between the characters and didn't just waste it like other series do that. It was natural, they didn't hesitate a bit about hooking up and it was spontaneous and consensual from both sides while none of them was drunk. Just how hard it is for some series? Well, it made this love story one of the best and I hope SurfJava won't get stuck on plain stories now when they showed their potential.

surfjava are my everything

okay so after head 2 head i was SO excited to see surfjava again and omg they did NOT disappoint in the slightest. let me just start off by saying that their chemistry is so real and genuine its kinda insane. like yall surfjava are not PLAYING these two are good at what they do. i think they both did a great job with their roles, and im not just saying this because i love them. the story is also a super fun, little story with not too much to it. its simple, its fun, its cute, and i had a great time with it.

i was suspicious of the muteluv series because i didn't think that gmmtv could pull off stories with real depth in only four episodes. while i haven't watched all of the different stories, both love me if you swear and hi! by my luck were both really well done, and i'm pleasantly surprised by their quality. the writing is sharp, the editing isn't the usual gmmtv over-the-top-corny, and, of course, the acting is on point. i want to reiterate that this series truly shines because of surfjava and their absolutely incredible performances. literally sooooooo good omg.

last thing, louis did such a good job in this show like.. he's always a scene stealer for me no matter what he's in and this is no exception, messi is an absolute cutie!! in conclusion, this show is a FANTASTIC short series and i am so pleased with how gmmtv handled this. i hope surfjava have a new series soon idk what im gonna do without them :(

SO CUTEEEEE I WANT TO SEE MOREE!

This series was so cute like the new faces are so refreshing to see and they are so good looking and cute.

I want to see them in a longer series I want it to have like a sad story or background I feel like that would suit them very well especially when I saw the last episode of this series the teasing and ganging up on him he looks so sad and cute want to see something similar to that they look like they have so much potential I want to see them in a new series ASAP.

They deserve a much more longer series not a 4 episode one 😡🥰😍❤️

Short & Sweet!!!!

This one’s officially for the books! 📚 I’d rewatch this any day, any time. I originally gave it a shot because it was a mini BL, and after seeing Surf and Java as VanFarm, I was ready to be mad! Their 'shitty' relationship turned out surprisingly good, though. I can’t believe this was their first project together—their chemistry is undeniable both on and off-screen. I had a massive smile the whole time watching them bicker, swear, and just mess around with each other. A total 10/10 for me on everything: the music, direction, writing, and production! ⭐

Comedy is Subjective

Comedic Thai stories are usually a hit or miss for me. This, unfortunately, falls into the miss pile as the comedy didn't quite land for me. I wish the story had more heart and less comedy. The fight scenes were also not that well choreographed tbh. I could tell that they were fake. That they weren't quite hitting or choking each other. I shouldn't be able to tell that as a viewer.

The kiss scenes also aren't the best I've seen. They aren't the dreaded dead fish kisses, but something was missing. With that said, I think the acting is pretty decent. When the comedy is pushed back, allowing for more serious scenes, you can see the actors' acting skills shine. For rookies, they are pretty decent, I'll give them that. No one was stiff or unbelievable in those scenes.

I have their upcoming series 'Roommate Chaos' on my To Watch List, so I look forward to seeing more of their work then. I liked the comedy in that trailer, so hopefully that will land. And the kissing shall be better

I LOVE YOU SURFJAVA

Guys this is such a sweet and fluffy little story i swear. And for the first time, the 4 episodes seemed enough to cover their story (EVEN THOUGH I DEMAND MORE OF SURFJAVA AAAA) but. Point is that the script is tight, everything that is addressed is covered, and more importantly, it talks about genuine feelings that a student goes through emotionally with respect to friends and how one would wish to be perceived. I genuinely found every bit so memorable, and 1000000000000000/10 rewatchable. like seriously. THEY HAD ME REWINDING EVERY CUTE MOMENT.

To say that this is their debut drama and them having THIS much easy chemistry is crazy. They seemed better than some other well known ships COUGH COUGH. anyways. before i get TOOOOOO carried away. i love surf, i love java, and i love them together. and this series was such an easy watch that made me coo. legit. pls watch. 10/10 recommend.

It’s not just about love - it’s about feelings that show up before anyone is ready for them.

MuTeLuv: Love Me if You Swear is chaotic, funny, and surprisingly emotional underneath all the superstition, rivalry, and forced cooperation energy. It starts off feeling almost unserious, but quickly turns into a story about responsibility, fate, and two people who definitely did NOT plan to end up stuck together.

At the center is Tum, who suddenly becomes the leader of the Nuea-in gang after a superstitious vow - and everything immediately goes downhill - His leadership is questioned almost instantly as bad luck starts following him everywhere. Tum is the kind of character who tries to hold things together even when everything is clearly falling apart. What makes him interesting is that he genuinely wants to prove himself worthy of his position, but he’s also constantly battling the idea that maybe everything is happening because of his own mistake. His journey isn’t just about leadership - it’s about responsibility, belief, and trying to fix something he might not fully understand.

Then there’s Oh, the leader of the Pathumphaisan gang, who enters the story like a problem Tum cannot escape. He steals the gang’s badge, instantly creating tension and distrust between them. Oh comes off as confident, competitive, and always one step ahead, but he’s not just there to cause trouble - his presence forces Tum to confront everything he’s trying to avoid. The most interesting part is that Oh isn’t just an “enemy” figure; he becomes someone Tum is constantly forced to interact with, whether he wants to or not.

The dynamic between Tum and Oh is where the whole series really comes alive. What starts as rivalry slowly turns into forced cooperation when they both end up on the same nine-temple merit-making journey. And that’s where everything gets even more chaotic - because no matter how much they clash, they’re stuck together, dealing with bad luck, misunderstandings, and situations that constantly push them closer.

Their relationship is built on conflict, frustration, and unexpected teamwork. They argue, they challenge each other, and they clearly don’t trust each other at first - but over time, you start to see small shifts. Moments where they stop acting like enemies and start acting like two people who are just trying to survive the same ridiculous situation.

What makes the series stand out is how it mixes superstition and humor with emotional development. The “bad luck” isn’t just a plot device - it becomes part of how the characters grow, forcing them to face consequences, beliefs, and each other in ways they wouldn’t normally do.

Overall, MuTeLuv: Love Me if You Swear is chaotic, funny, and unexpectedly heartfelt. If you love enemies-to-reluctant-partners dynamics, forced proximity, and messy but entertaining journeys full of misunderstandings - this is the kind of series that keeps you watching just to see what disaster happens next.
