The angst could've been epic, a missed opportunity
The quality of the production was very nice, the costumes were stunning.The chemistry between the two leads is definitely what made me stay, it was lovely, sexy, intense, but also could've been even deeper if it wasn't for the lack of scenes displaying actual depth.
Their acting was good but the plot itself was actually the most interesting thing. I really liked it.

The writing and execution of the storytelling weren't that good, and the short format is probably the main cause. This one could've been far better if it was a longer drama. The angst was there but wasn't executed properly because of the format and the flat writing.
The pacing was good but unfortunately the cringy scenes during the last episodes really affected the unitial appreciation I had for it.
The ending was flavorless and was extremely boring & cringe.
The first part of the drama was really nice but then, it went downhill.
Nevertheless, this short drama is one of the very few I managed to finish.
I definitely recommand this one, but I really don't see myself rewatching it.

I love watching short dramas but every now and then I find one that makes me wish it had so much more screentime.The Maid is one of those short dramas. The story is packed with potential and, although I truly like the short version of it, I wish the story could have been told by using a full-blown drama script. As it is, the story feels a little too fast-paced and I didn't have enough time to really connect with the characters or believe they had actually fallen in love. It just suddenly was that way and I had to go-with-the-flow. Too bad, because there are so many great romance short dramas out there that do show the progression of falling in love. Even in the span of 20 episodes with 10 minutes per episode.
This one fell short in that department. BUT I FREAKING LOVED THE REVENGE PLOT. It was so well done. I binged the entire show within the span of one day.
Do I recommend? Yes. It's fun to watch and sometimes it can even be a litle thrilling.

It's not great or anything, but it is GOOD.
Y'know how if you're watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you're like really into it and having fun watching it, but at the same time you know it's not like fine cinema or some mindblowing acting...? This is good like that.The plot and story are really not anything new. The dialogue is not transcendent. The acting is not stellar. Settings and costumes are not extravagant, but they give "cool" vibes... also great hair stylist for this one. Lots of good hair and good dresses good makeup and ML wears armor a lot so that's all like overall a plus. Not hi-budget but made the most of what they had for sure.
Anyways I digress, what I was saying was there's nothing that groundbreaking about this. AND YET. Something about it feels fresh, and the plot moves at a very nice pace, the story is stripped of "all that boring shit" many of us 2x through, and consists only of conversations and interactions that capture your attention.
The acting is not great. Not by a longshot. But it's GOOD. The interesting thing here is that the script is actually better than the actors, meaning... there are scenes that are powerful, and I could actually see a lot of actors doing a better job of acting out those scenes. So I guess what I'm saying is, the script demanded a lot of the actors playing the parts, and the actors who are actually playing those parts are doing their best to get the emotions across, and their insufficiency as actors is showing.
Does that mean the acting was bad? Well.... yes? And also... no? Because they are making it fun to watch. Even their shortcomings as actors is fun to watch, just like Buffy is also kickass and fun to watch even though the acting is not the best.
Honestly, I think romance is one of the hardest genres for actors. Many actors can act a lot of emotions, but they can't act "in love". Well, after seeing both the ML and FL in other projects, I'd say that's a weak point for both of them... however I like watching them really put effort into their roles, and they are both gaining experience and maybe someday they will be able to tap into that "in love" magic. But that day isn't today, lol.
That, and the somewhat conventional vibe the story gives off, are the weakest parts of this drama. Even so, it's a really good watch (at least for a one-time binge) because something about it is a little bit addictive and fun and interesting. If you have an interest in the career of either of the leads, this is a good watch. If you are bored, this is a good watch. If you're between heavier shows, this is a good watch. If you need a fluff-break, this is a good watch.

i mean, tf you bitches want from a short length c-drama ?? they’re not going to fuck in your room in 4K pls, don’t pay attention to the bad reviews, this is actually a GEM if you’re looking for something interesting that goes straight to the point.she’s looking for revenge and she deliver it ! FL is pretty, smart, powerful and does not waste time in endless entanglements. if i’ve any complaint would be that they could’ve shown more romance but it’s okay, it’s a c-drama

The FL here is very cunning and manipulative
i thought that it would be another historical cdrama where the fl is like an underling to the ml, but i love how the fl here is cunning she acts like the villainess and it's giving me similar vibe from "My Journey To You" it deserves more reviews frr, the antagonist's face here looks like a protagonist. Uau, os minis estão cada vez melhores, iqiyi/tencent realmente está investindo nesse formato e eu particularmente estou adorando isso!Pontos positivos: A produção impecável, seja figurino, cenário, fotografia, todos os aspectos técnicos estão de parabéns. Não perde em nada, e pode-se dizer que até melhor, que alguns dramas longos. O enredo também foi muito bem feito, a história não tem furos, os 15 minutos de cada um dos 26 episódios foram muito bem aproveitados, com carga dramática ideal. Ah, a protagonista femina, ahh! Maravilhosa, perfeita, focada em sua vingança, inteligente e estratégica, 10/10!!!! Não era má em excesso, mas também não se deixava levar por promessas vazias e paixões em sentido. Amei, amei. Falando em desenvolvimento de personagens, a vilã também foi muito bem escrita, a atuação da atriz foi excepcional!!!! uma vilã ruim sim, mas humanas, também inserida em todo o sofrimento feminino advindo da da família e sociedade daquela época. Show!!!! Eu amei demais!
Pontos negativos: Achei o protagonista masculino fraco, e esse fato é compreensível já que a história é focada na protagonista feminina, mas ficou perceptível. E agora é pessoal: Não sou fã de tramas onde mulheres brigam por favores masculinos (presente no ínicio da história) e apesar de uma das vilãs aqui estar lutando por poder, ainda é um poder concedido mediante algum laço masculino, mas isso é detalhe... Então apesar de ter gostado muito da história, esse fato ficou ali, perturbando minha mente hahaha
