So I've seen a lot of conspiracy theories from the first two episodes and I need other perspectives on them especially the whole Queen Dowager liking I-an thing.

Even as a character wise you see IAN say that she comes from a family of queens so she immensely prideful so having a husband who is ready to give up power is what she hates where in contrast she keeps mentioning how IAN is just overshadowing the crowd sounds like her type no cap

But.... If I-An and the Queen Mother had a previous relationship, could the actual King be I-An's children?

I think the Queen Mother’s reaction to Ian talking about premarital pregnancy implies she was pregnant before marriage. But, I disagree, I definitely think the current king is the former king’s son. They have telegraphed too many similarities for it to be otherwise. However, I think she trapped or tricked the king into getting her pregnant. Maybe she drugged him. The Queen Mother is ambitious enough and determined enough to do something underhanded to get her way. I think she believed the former king was too weak to take the throne, so she forced his hand by getting pregnant. I think that was what Ian was implying to his brother, the king, as well. That he could still avoid the marriage with the Queen Mother and step down as king.

I-An was to angry about the marriage, the truth behind it must be something really bad.

There is also the part where Hui Ju's sister in law says that if divorce in the Royal Family was possible, the I-An would be the King. Maybe the I-An brother was in love with somebody else.

But something I don't get is why the Queen Mother got so angry with I-An when the fired happened in EP 01, it's almost like she was blaming him for the fire that killed the previous King

Well if the fire hurt the lil king then her power source would be gone maybe thats why she was angry

Okay here are my theories after watching ep 3 & 4:

1. I-An had feelings for Huiju since high school, but he's trying to play it cool even though he really likes her. The royal family never divorces, and he doesn't intend to divorce her either hehehe

2. The Queen Dowager's father is the one that killed the king and she's going to flip when she finds out because until now, she seems to suspect I-An killed his own brother for the throne.

3. I think I-An was angry at his brother for doing something that was wrong, hence why he threatened him on his wedding day. But besides anger, he was afraid that if his brother kept going down that road that he would die surrounded by enemies which is probably what happened. Most likely I-An's parents were murdered too.

4. I think I-An and Huiju will get revenge for the royal family, get rid of their enemies and protect the baby king, then live happily ever after.

About 2: I agree. I think the Queen is going to have a redemption arc and take care of the baby King because even thought I Am loves his nephew, I don't think he would adopted him. So we need the Queen to become good so she can take care of the baby King.

But about 1: I don't think he loved her, maybe had a crush. It seems that the royal family affair has always been I-An's priority.

And About 4: I'm really curious what is going to be the end. I don't think I-Ah would do anything bad to his nephew, so he probably isn't become king. But he doenst have any other profession besides being the Regent and it is going to end when he nephew get old. So. What he is going to do. And dont see how Huiju would enter to the Royal family if it means she would lose her enterprise. We are going in direction of a time for the ending....

But it makes everything more exciting (at least for me hahahah)

Okay my 3 cents on the things that will happen at some point


1) FML and ML will divorce at some point (maybe in the end, where we will get the stupid cliche of them separated)
2) ML will change the law to allow FML to work when married to him
3) He will also change the law and impose a "minimum age"" to someone to be a king. This will allow his nephew to have a normal life before things start to get chaotic. And he will be the king at this time.
