I think it’s interesting that, so far, there has been no discussion about HJ’s mother. We don’t know how HJ was raised before she was left at her father’s doorstep. We don’t know why she was left with her father. We don’t know how her father and mother first met. It just seems very formative to who she is, but there has been no talk about it so far. I think it’s interesting that they’re focusing only on the time after she met her father.

I really hope she can get away from her father altogether. He is an awful man. I hate how he blames a literal child for his own infidelity.

Maybe they are going to explore it on the second half... Her father didn't even contest the paternity, so probably he had an idea of her existence.

How do we know he didn’t contest paternity? I doubt a man like that would have taken in a child without a paternity test.
