Three Stars

Best part of the ep for me is the Queen Mother askig for fogivemess. Putting her son first finally. She also became a bit more understandible in the last few ep where we get her background and what she gave up to be Queen. The fire was a bit much and ridiculous that the Palace, that lost the prior King doesn't have a better means to put one out other than bowls of water. WTAF??

You would think that they would have fire extinguishers by now

This episode was anticlimactic for me. We knew what would happen and how. My favourite character is the King's mother, Hui-ju and I-An fell short for me. The PM needs to die or put in jail, at this point it is a bit absurd that he is still in power.

Masks off and changes of heart

This episode really felt like a final stretch to the finale. Mostly because the villains were revealed—some to the public, some to smaller circles—leaving our main heroes without unknown backstabbers lurking in the shadows. And that means an open and fair game in the finale! 😏

The episode started with a huge relief with Ian's rescue from the fire. It was quite emotional to watch Huiju's desperation to save him, crying his name in the middle of the burning building. Luckily, Aide Choi was swift enough to help with the rescue. 😮‍💨

I quite enjoyed seeing PM Min somewhat stressed about his plans crumbling to ashes, struggling to keep his real emotions contained, and even more—Huiju marking him as her enemy now. I still can't imagine how, in his mind, everything regarding Huiju could have worked in his favour. It looks a lot like he didn't know her personality and preferences at all, even though he claimed to be her long-time friend... One can only wonder. 🤷‍♀️🤔

The Queen Mother was the one who impressed me the most in this episode. I had already hoped she would have a change of heart after everything that happened in the previous episode. And looking back, I think some vague traces leading to this point were already there throughout the story, gradually deepening. 🤔

I really want to compliment Gong Seung-Yeon for her amazing talent in portraying such a complex character as the Queen Mother. She perfectly allowed me to hate her when she was a manipulative, calculating, and greedy person, not even really caring for anyone (her son including), and then open the waterworks in my eyes when her redemption arc started, when we learned more about her backstory, and when she changed for her son—pleading for his safety and no longer caring about herself. 👏😭💔

The Bitter Reality

I really loved the plot where the main leads discover the true nature of the second leads. At first, both of them thought the Queen Mother was evil and was plotting against them. But later discovered that she was not evil but greedy. At the same time, they considered the Prime Minister trustworthy. Neither of them suspected him when the contract was exposed. They trusted him so much. But in the end, all their assumptions were contrary to reality.

Keeping it short but now yian has been saved…

Keeping it short but now yian has been saved and plans to abolish the crown onces he becomes king, and yirang confesses to yian that her father was the one who poisoned huiju and she said she and her father would accept any punishment as long as yian doesn't do anything to yiyun LIKE DUH WHAT WLD HE DO TO HIS NEPHEW. Ms do was feeling guilty for not being there when yian got stuck at the council hall where the fire started and hyeon comforted her and it was so cutettetete. OH AND huiju starts to get suspicious of jeongwoo and after yirang apologised and begged to yian, she warned him that yian should be wary of jeongwoo EVEN THOUGH HE WAS THE ONE PERSON YIAN USED TO TRUST THE MOST.

Honestly Little Put off

would of been better if FL dragged ML out of the fire instead of waiting for help, just because FL is a women doesn't mean she couldn't have done it, saying this as a family with multiple firefighters in it

Espetacular

Terrible for the 4th last ep

Its supposed to be the semifinal week and plotline logic just left the atmosphere and went missing in outer space. Also terrible editing, making the ep hella confusing.
